Deep Sight: I also asked you to look at the words "abberation" and "dysfunction". . . and tell me if such things exist in reality. You did not do so, why?

Is it because you recognise that admitting the existence of dysfunctions or abberations will dent a hole in your definition of "natural" as anything that exists?

So tell me, do such things as abberations or dysfunctions exist? If they do, why are they so called? - if not that there is that which is observed as not aberrational and not dysfunctional - and thus as natural?
Aberrations and dyfunctions are still natural. Twins, albinos and hermaphrodites are still works of nature. Except if you don't think Nature is diverse.

2good: lol. You are really no different from the narrow minded christian. Young man, I don't believe in any religious god because I can trace them to their origin. All religion were founded by early men and imposed on their subject by force. On the other hand, I cannot beat my chest and say there is no remote possibility of a god because the world is too complex to analyse with the current level of scientific advancement.
Also, I have been an agnostic for 16 years. You are just a baby in your new found believe and still have along way to go. You still have youthful exuberance and need more time to mature.
This is not a fair assessment from you, you are not aware of the effort and bravery that it took logicboy to reach his present position. Apparently you guys don't share the same views on divinity, but that not cause to put the other down.

I'm sure your positions weren't accidental, so there is a need to respect ourselves.

davidylan: What a fool. I have over 14 published articles on pubmed (America's basic science journal repository) and a book chapter published by Elsevier in the UK.
That we both post on an anonymous forum does not make us equals.

How did you make the incredibly daft jump of assuming that once we replicate the exact conditions on primordial earth, PST will be proven beyond all reasonable doubt? "Suppose it simply goes on to prove that you truly cannot create life from a random mix of biomolecules?"

There is a geologist here who doesnt agree with it either you fool.
I also doubt it if you are a scientist at all, cos you made an extraordinary claim that Life has no natural cause!
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Homosexuality Demonic? by Kay17: 11:28pm On May 21, 2012
@DS

Your choice of words clearly denotes non conformity to morality, like "perverse" "depravity" "abnormal". Following your conclusions would lead one to believe that inventions in general are "abnormal". Advanced Medical care would be a form of "depravity", civilization would be perverse.

Its absurd to say so. Homosexuality might not be the best and most profitable sex arrangement, but it does satisfy some ppl's innate sexual drives, they are "mechanical" driven and derive pleasure from the act.

Natural order and morality don't always meet.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Homosexuality Demonic? by Kay17: 8:27pm On May 21, 2012
Definition wasn't so helpful still. You have just been appealing to our ethical sense
Christianity Etc › Re: An Open Challenge To Atheists And Free-thinkers by Kay17: 11:06am On May 21, 2012
Why is it necessary for the universe to be designed??

It proves that Christianity is definitely not the religion of the future.
Christianity Etc › Re: Conversion To Christianity Has Created A Problem. Help! by Kay17: 10:59am On May 21, 2012
Who told oluface that God's chosen religion is Islam?
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Homosexuality Demonic? by Kay17: 10:15am On May 21, 2012
Idehn's explanation makes better sense. "Natural" can be best explained whatever is mechanical caused without intelligent interference. Because DS's definition considers rarities as anomalies and artificial which nobody will agree to.

Also DS shown with good detail that homosexuality is rampant in the animal kingdom, and Nature tolerates it.

But the fact that something natural doesn't mean it should be tolerated or accepted. It doesn't always define our moralities.

oluface: Open this link for more information about life after death.
Grave is very powerful especially for those that urinate and doesnt clean with water

www.islam-guide.com/life-after-death-by-wamy.htm
The article wasn't so helpful. It begged the question that there is God, and also did the same for the authencity of the Quran. However, no prophet jad experienced the afterlife, yet he is able to make PARTICULAR claims.

Divine revelations are overtly subjective, fraught with controversy, source doubtful and depends on the mental state of whoever is having it. Man can easily lie about having revelations. History is filled so many man gods and messengers from Gods.

Since revelations are directed at the person receiving it without witnesses, its best to say such revelation/communication is ONLY for the receiver and no one else.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Homosexuality Demonic? by Kay17: 11:17pm On May 20, 2012
Gray Beard: ^^^ Is there anything that you regard as perverse? If so, why.

And if all things are natural, on what basis would anything be classified as perverse.
You would be making the same mistake as deepsight in assuming morality and natural order, are one and the same.
Christianity Etc › Re: Reason Behind The Fall Into Atheism by Kay17: 9:07pm On May 20, 2012
No True Christian.

However, since God is life and he has no beginning, ten Life has no origin.
Christianity Etc › Re: Christainity Is A False Religion by Kay17: 7:57pm On May 20, 2012
I don tire for ppl like Oluface! Ascribing functions for your God without justification wouldn't work!
Christianity Etc › Re: Christainity Is A False Religion by Kay17: 12:07pm On May 20, 2012
oluface: so you fell down from heaven.. Cant believe people like u are still on earth
And WHERE did your God fall from?? Since you conceive entities in nothingness prior to their present state!
Christianity Etc › Re: Christainity Is A False Religion by Kay17: 11:48am On May 20, 2012
oluface: so u think God created man to come and play in this world.. Dead brain
Nobody agreed with your unjustified presumption that God created anyone. Also you contradict yourself by insisting Islam is the true religion, yet claiming God is omnipresent!
Christianity Etc › Re: Reason Behind The Fall Into Atheism by Kay17: 10:58am On May 20, 2012
At least this proves that alexlo works by faith only.

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Nigeria A Secular Or Religious State? by Kay17: 9:33pm On May 19, 2012
Not a bad idea though. But it would fail for executive discretion. But you can get it recognized.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Nigeria A Secular Or Religious State? by Kay17: 6:08pm On May 19, 2012
Pastor AIO: Nigeria is a moslem country. It joined the OIC a few years ago. Out of political sagacity they give christianity some respects but all other religions can go to hell as far as the government is concerned.
No, that doesn't determine the State's religion. The constitution does.
Christianity Etc › Re: Are There Similaries Between Christianity And Atheism? by Kay17: 5:58pm On May 19, 2012
toba: honestly, it depends on the definition of religion u want to work with. There are pple that believes in God yet are not religious or practising aany religion
Some believe in God but are not "pious"
Christianity Etc › Re: For Those That Says That God Doesnt Exist!! by Kay17: 5:56pm On May 19, 2012
Oluface, bringing something out of nothing is a logically impossibility. If your God could do that, then it is valid to say he is logically impossible.
Christianity Etc › Re: Are There Similaries Between Christianity And Atheism? by Kay17: 4:24pm On May 19, 2012
Can one worship a God without a religion?! Pls be realistic.
Christianity Etc › Re: Who Is Jesus ? by Kay17: 4:14pm On May 19, 2012
Enigma: At the moment, I am focusing on the central issue of the thread: "who is Jesus"?

The point so far is whether what I have portrayed is true of what the Bible says about Jesus smiley

I think that needs to be clarified before any widening of the issues. wink

cool
Jesus was "with" God and yet is God implies that Jesus is separate as a person from God and is God. A classic contradiction.
Christianity Etc › Re: For Those That Says That God Doesnt Exist!! by Kay17: 3:34pm On May 19, 2012
oluface: Okay accepted..
But please answer my question to convince me... How does common water came into existence... So everything just happen like that without anybody anywhere that created it..
It is only a living corpse that will say God does not exist..
There are so many sign of Allah apart from the recent one..
Tell me what make the bird fly over the sky .. What has hold it.. It is the will of Allah..
Try do this then i will worship you as God..

Try get a mud .. Mold and living thing.. And give it life just as every other creature... I pity you
If everything needs to come into existence, are you insisting existence has a beginning?

Can God/Allah create from nothing?
Christianity Etc › Re: Stop Using The Bible Against Polygamy by Kay17: 3:18pm On May 19, 2012
@OP,

Can a woman marry 6 husbands??
Christianity Etc › Re: Are There Similaries Between Christianity And Atheism? by Kay17: 3:06pm On May 19, 2012
toba: Im not sure about that.
Faith is an identified and treasured aspect of Abrahamic religions, its what's constitutes authority for its holy books. For atheists, you mentioned newspaper!! How disingenious was that!

The ONLY universal belief among all atheists is the DISBELIEF in the religious concepts of Gods. There is no universal alternative, and the question of an alternative is irrelevant.

On all other topics, like afterlife, ultimate realities, morality, family life, economy, spirituality are left to the individual.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Nigeria A Secular Or Religious State? by Kay17: 2:56pm On May 19, 2012
Nigeria is a secular state. Sharia law ought to only be a personal law.

FXKing2012: I'm so glad the atheists have finally been convinced, now my job is done. All praise and glory to God Almighty!
But I asked a question?!

Why would an omnipotent being creating from nothingness, have a designed world??
Christianity Etc › Re: Who Is Jesus ? by Kay17: 9:40am On May 18, 2012
Enigma: @ Kay17

I take it that you cannot honestly deny that the Bible teaches what I summarised in that my last post directed to you?

Repeated below for your convenience. smiley
God is the Father of the Son Jesus, right? And the three form God?
Christianity Etc › Re: Is God Dead? by Kay17: 9:22am On May 18, 2012
^^^

Evil is an imperfection, its the disharmony in natural order, except you are insisting that there are overarching guiding laws which bind God as well, God is deemed perfect, thus his nature ought to reflect in his creation.

Otherwise the premise that God created all OR that he exists becomes wrong. If God is good/perfect, then there will be no evil. Simple.
Christianity Etc › Re: What Is The Bible Requirements Of Bishops, daecons, Gen.overseers And Pastors? by Kay17: 10:12pm On May 17, 2012
there is a fundamental problem here; what is the authority to say the bible is the word of god?
Islam › Re: A New Baby Born With The Holy Quran by Kay17: 5:39pm On May 17, 2012
You are not the first to ne this shocked. I think this is the basic belief required in most sects of abrahamic faiths.
