And you intend sucking oil free for 30ys until you get yourself

Is that not Peter Obi will do instead of restructure the shithole back to state fiscal autonomy?
Okay no problem.

Let him announce on his first day in office that there'll be no more oil revenue for non oil producing states and see what the response of those states will be...

There's no need to build castles in the sky. Many states are dependent on that revenue source, like it or not. You can't just cut it off without forewarning.

During that time frame if transition, states will begin to grow their non oil sectors so that when it's gone, no one will feel it.

This is non sentimental governance.

And remember, Anambra is an oil producing state for all it's worth. Who will suffer? SE or NE?

Peter Obi Like All Igbos Does Not Believe In Restructuring And State Autonomy

Additionally, I hope you know that Anambra is now an oil deriving state. If oil is shared, they'll get something.

My take on restructuring is to have every state survive with what they have. Oil still remains a federal allocation but with a plan to wean off it over 20-30 years. It goes back to the owners. Texas in USA owns it's oil not White house.

That way every state gets a soft landing to avoid banditry. When you know you have 20years to sit up, you'll find alternative sources of income ASAP.

With all due respect sir, I beg to differ.

The SE are businessmen who have survived a civil war. My grandfather was flattened after the war but the man still rose up to build houses in Onitsha. I'm the witness to that.

Dredge river Niger, creating a sea port in Onitsha, and see how the SE economy will boom. No need to go to Lagos to clear goods. If it's a state/regional port, billions will roll in to the SE.

Geographically, it's the north that is disadvantaged. They forsook agriculture and became dependent on oil.

Even the Niger Delta militants are upset with the north; they own no oil yet they buy oil wells and desecrate the SS with spills.

Ask yourself why there's a refinery in Kaduna?! They are positioning themselves to keep milking Nigeria and that's why they don't want to leave power (the corrupt ones).

If you're from the South, you're helping them whether you're APC or PDP. They can't survive without political power.

The Igbos are more industrious and can survive without federal allocation MORE than the north and even many SW states (outside Lagos).

Has it now come to this?

Peter Obi is not a Christian candidate but an Igbo candidate.

Do not let anyone deceive you about this charlatan being all encompassing

His political views just yesterday confirmed what I wrote about his and that of the general Igbo ambition in Nigeria's political space.

I have always maintained that igbos are totally against an unbundling of the wasteful and cumbersome centrist arrangement which puts the Federal govt above States. Why would they when they are the architects of it.

Obi just reinforced my instincts when in an interview he granted just yesterday stated that he has no problem with the highly flawed 1999 constitution albiet that of the current centrist arrangement.

This is not new as igbos have never for once voiced out against our current highly unfair system by not joining voices with other nationals in the south for a return to true fiscal autonomy for states. Or have you heard one Igbo politician voice out in agreement for the need to restructure Nigeria? Never!

Only the peoples of the SW and the cheated and marginalized SS whose resources are used to feed this nation are behind the call for restructuring .

So how in God's name does Peter Obi hope to reform Nigeria when he is very OK with the very arrangement that has impeded her progress? .

According to Obi, Nigeria lacks leadership and he is that unproven leader to lead us to greatness without for once presenting solutions to how he intends to go about it under the very bad faulty foundation the nation rests on in the form of the 1999 constitution.

Peter Obi is a charlatan and represents the call for an Igbo presidency only.

He does not represent the majority southern views and aspirations as we can see with his endorsement of the 1999 Constitution and thus does not represent the clamour for the presidency to return to a true south.

His ambitions do not also represent that of Christians in Nigeria but rather he is seeking to exploit this in a very shameful manner as part of his political ambitions.

So what or whom does Peter Obi represent?

He represents first and foremost a continuation of the disastrous 1999 Constitution enabled arrangement which in turn is beneficial and of extreme importance to the sustainability of his SE region.

Do not be fooled by this charlatan and Igbo champion.
NC: Will you be working with the 1999 Constitution; how will you carry out governance with people that are not pulling their weight?

PO: The Constitution might have its own problem but our constitution is not what is keeping us where we are today, it is bad leadership. Notwithstanding the constitution, you can drive everybody along and still make the country productive. Why do we have an Economic Council? The Economic Council in the Constitution says the states and the federal government will meet once a month to decide the economic future of the place. The biggest asset of the country is the vast uncultivated lands we have in the North with the human beings that are there. We are just sharing the little money that is coming from a diminishing asset called oil. Oil is a diminishing asset.

------------------

This the snippet from the interview. Now read your response again and see if you're making sense. Be honest with yourself. Insight is the pathway to deliverance from many issues.

The north can survive very well if we return to true fiscal autonomy.

It is only the rent seeking elite , emirs and rogue politicians who benefit from this centrist arrangement.

A state like Kogi with all her unexploited industrial input mineral wealth can be transformed to a major industrial site for the nation. Fixing Ajaokuta alone will see to rapid investments into that state to make use of the outputs from her rolling mills to startup heavy industries from car manufacturing, industrial equipments and what not.

Benue will do very well as a food basket if it could secure her own state without recourse to an incompetent or as in the case of the Buhari led Fulani Bolshevik govt, a highly compromised ethnic champion Federal govt.

Agriculture alone can be a game changer in the north once they are no more distracted by their rogue leaders in supporting their rent seeking in Abuja.

Same applies for the SW with both her natural coastline , agricultural potentials , service industries and what not.

The Niger Delta will be pacified if we return to true federalism and the over reliance on oil revenue that is paid in stipends will no longer be the case and the region can invest in both human capacity in agriculture, fisheries , marine services and a host of other activities that will see wealth and productivity put back in the hands of the people. Will the people who are comfortable with jobs , houses and a community not be committed to peace and security?

But for the yeast, the outlook is very bleak.

Azikiwe made this painfully obvious to Igbo delegates that allowing the so-called minorities to secede from the old eastern region will see the region being the poorest. For this reason they frustrated all efforts to prevent the minorities from moving a motion at Enugu to leave.

Nothing has changed so far and the yeast still remains the least self sustainable region and this can be arrested by how they continue to flock out like a horde of termites from their red mud region to every nook and cranny elsewhere. Without this Igbo migration out of Igbo land, the region will not only starve but be the most backward and poorest region in Nigeria.

It is for this reason , Igbo are more committed to one Nigeria than any other national and also why they are fully committed to the current centrist arrangement.

It is a parasitic arrangement at the expense of others and Peter Obi likes it just as it is.

So is this in any way the common stance of the real south? No!

Thus Peter Obi does not represent the south but his Igbo Zikist Nigeria and that of the rent seeking Northern elite.

Be very wise.

LP fit flip Kaduna. Let the consultations continue.

Lagos and even North Central can be flipped too.

With bloc votes from SS and SE, ObiDatti is a done deal.

You need two regions to win.

APC is trying to replicate 2015 by bloc SW and Northern votes.

This time, SW is already flipping, North is already shared with Atiku and Kwankwaso on the ballot.

PDP is localised now to the north alone. SE/SS is flipped LP and they can't even campaign in SW so PDP will find this election difficult.

Only LP is sure of two regions: SS/SE plus scrapping votes off the SW, NC and NE.

The structure-less party is already at roofing stage. cheesy

I honestly don't believe that any candidate has a primary Islamic agenda. Even Tinubu with the Muslim Muslim ticket doesn't have "Islamization" as his primary agenda. If he did, Lagos wouldn't have been the way it is now: liberal and welcoming.

I don't believe Atiku and Kwankwaso will make Islamization their primary agenda either.

The problem is that for all the candidates, except Peter Obi, political Islam has found a way into their ticket/structure whether they like it or not.

Political Islam is the ideology that believes it must take a hold of the political system/structure of a nation as part of service to Allah.

Not all Muslims think that way, but believe me, a lot in the deep Northern trenches of Nigeria do.

So they only gives their votes and support to any candidate that will promote Islam: political Islam. It's an ideology.

This is why Tinubu chose Shettima: he had to bend to their demands. Atiku deleted his tweet condemning Deborah's murder for the same reason.

In as much as any tribe or religion has a right to clamour for representation in government, when it becomes for the purpose of taking over the political structure of that government, it is a problem.

This is because things are no longer done for the general good but to instill a religious belief system into the polity. Only decisions that will favour their ideology will see the light of day.

Just like in Buhari's government, they clamour for key positions. When your boss and any potential boss is Muslim, you have to take a particular liking to the religion if you want to survive... and grow.

This however shouldn't be so. Any decision taken by a government should represent the general good not the institutionalisation of a particular religion. When political Islam hijacks a government, it can lead to its downfall because it twists the arm of the government to do its bidding, not that of the people.

Government shouldn't be about religious affiliations but general improvement of the polity.

Amongst the current candidates, it is only the candidature of Peter Obi that hasn't been infiltrated this much.

Tinubu's, Atiku's and Kwankwaso's has been. They will cower to the demands of this ideology. That of Tinubu will be no different because he's coming on the back of the current president, Buhari, who they held hostage all through his administration. Tinubu will be forced to play along with them or lose their support and backing. Shettima is their guard dog there.

For Peter Obi, they don't have him by the jugular. This is one of the reasons the core North haven't bought into his ideology yet. If they see past ideological religious thinking and think economy, they will vote for him for free. His every decision will be based on reason and ethics not institutionalisation of political Islam.

It is left for the church to decide. For decades, we have been deceived into thinking that politics doesn't matter. Jesus will come back no matter who is on the throne.

True that, but if the wrong person is on the throne, we might not be Christian long enough to see His glorious return.

I don't believe it's a coincidence that Peter Obi is the only Christian candidate on the ballot. Political Islam has been weaving its way into the government for long but didn't expect this third force. It is God's grace.

Political Islam can work through any party that gives it leeway. It was APC before, it can continue with PDP if need be.

I believe God gave us an opportunity to stem its tide and rise with a party and candidate without any structure. This is so that a new one can be built. The old one has been highly infiltrated already with political Islam (and though not necessarily connected, corruption and waste)

As it stands, Peter Obi has a good chance because the Muslim votes (which are equal to that of the Christian votes for ease of categorisation) will be divided into two or three (Kwankwaso might step down close to the election for Atiku or Tinubu).

If all the Christians stop their age long voter apathy, go to the ballot and chose right, Peter Obi will win with a landslide.

The choice is ours.

Benue, plateau and FCT are already LP. Nasarawa can still be won. If he does that, NC is LP. Election won.

I'm for ObiDatti but this election is tied as it stands.

Tinubu: SW
Atiku: North
Obi: SE/SS

It's the Northern votes that are up for grabs now cos Tinubu and Obi voters rarely switch sides cos it's sort of ethnic based now.

Atiku has lost the north many times and can still lose it.

Tinubu choosing Shettima was a political card for Northern votes.

Obi has a loophole he can use tho: Northern Christians and Hausas. Atiku is another Fulani so he might not have that much of an appeal to the Hausas as much as Datti might have.
Northern Christians too have numbers in the north and will use it.

I really think it's time for Datti to get to work.
