Like for Atiku. Share for Kwankwaso |
1. Tinubu: good antecedents but ailing health. 2. Peter Obi: internationally trained in various management courses. 3. Atiku: his former boss has put out tweets cautioning anyone thinking of employing him 4. Kwankwaso: nothing much is known about him. Like for Tinubu. Share for Peter Obi |
They'll try to keep this away from front page... A rebuttal |

nuelsylves:He stepped down before commencement of voting. Candidates were still giving speeches when he did. The issue was that he had already given a speech and then decided to return to the podium. |
Peter Obi has said on multiple occasions that he's not desperate to be president. Tinubu on the other hand practically wept on TV that it was his "turn". Whatever does that mean. His health is failing, still he's pushing himself to get in. Isn't it obvious he's in this just for his personal ambition and not for the country and its populace? Atiku is worse. From PDP to ACN to APC back to PDP. Contested as president in all all parties. Nigeria deserves her leaders. We should be able to pick out those who have our best interest at heart and those just here for the fame, money and glory.

Buckeyemedia1:I'm sorry about spoiling it but the situation in this country is dire. You're going to need dollars one day. Tried a simple £49 transaction today which failed. We're not producing, not exporting so out naira is almost valueless outside the shores of Nigeria. I'm just looking for someone who is intelligent enough to help the economy. And healthy enough. We can't be playing with our lives like this. |
A friend of mine recently tried to get PTA for travel. With all the long leg and even offers of monetary inducement, no one could get dollar for her. "Order from above." I recently tried to move money from a dorm account for international payments; my bank had no dollar to give. Had to find someone abroad who needed naira help me pay. As of August 1, all international payments with your naira Mastercard has been blocked: you can't buy anything online valued in dollars. My friends, Nigeria's economy is sinking. People who haven't been abroad lately or don't do international business don't have an idea how bad things are. We need to save our economy. Let's not sell our votes over ethnic and religious rivalry. "It's the economy, stupid" was Clinton's strategy to win the elections in 1992 and till today, votes are cast on that basis. This is not about tribe: it's apparent that the only candidate that has an idea of the dire economic situation is Peter Obi. Someone who didn't bribe with dollars like the other candidates who did and contributed immensely to this current dollar scarcity and bad economic state, is definitely a better offer. Ask post world war 2 Germany what a failed economy is like. Bread can sell for as high as 1 million naira. Ask Zimbabwe. We're playing with our future! |

Lolzzz... For where? ![]() |
Hopefully for once, Nigerians will get rid of ethnic and religious divisions and do what is right for their country and economy. Nigeria's problem is not lack but mismanagement. Do you know how many stolen dollars Atiku and Tinubu had to pay to win their primary elections in their parties? Now a man has come who has promised not to give "shi-shi" and became corruption has eaten so deep into our fabric, some misguided youths are opposing him so they can get stipends from someone who's clearly not fit mentally or physically for office! Nigeria wehdone. |

aribisala0:Deuteronomy 19:15 The Law Concerning Witnesses “One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established. Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ 2 Corinthians 13:1 Coming with Authority This will be the third time I am coming to you. “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” 1 Timothy 5:19 Do not receive an accusation against an elder except from two or three witnesses. Hebrews 10:28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. I hope you understand what these verses mean. "In the mouth of two or three witnesses a matter is established." If you don't believe it, leave it. At least you've opened a topic on naira land that got to 18 pages. Reveal in that achievement. Bye. |
seunmsg:Since the inception of naira land, you've been an APC member. It shows you're after your belly. People who want the best for Nigeria have chosen different voting patterns in the past. Many APC and PDP supporters have joined LP in search of capacity not their belly. Even if APC didn't present Tinubu, but brought Amaechi, you'll still be here looking for a reason to support him. |
The only problem is the capacity of the Muslim you chose to be VP. If you chose Amina Mohammed of the UN or maybe Sanusi Lamido, we'll understand that you're choosing capacity over religion. Shettima was your attack dog during the primaries: uncouth, vision-less, vile and corrupt. His fake Bishops charade is a typical example. You chose him because you believe you don't need Christian votes and the northerners don't reason: they vote who they are told to vote for by their imams. You got it all wrong! |
Democracy is a game of both individuals and party. Without a credible opposition it cannot run. APC the party is instrumental to the rise of the current hardship befalling this nation. It doesn't matter who they bring forth, the party structure still remains and will bring about evil. Its better to destroy the current evil political structure that exists in this country and bring in a structure-less party sober can start afresh. Psalms 11:3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? Our foundations are already bad. No need building on something faulty. Get rid of the current structure and bring in a brand new day. |

Tell them my brother. How else can they have so many touts in their camp they cloaked some in religious regalia to pretend to be bishops of the church of Jesus? |

In the south, where basic amenities and access to internet exist, Peter Obi has strong support. Amongst the most literate who understand some basic economics and what Nigeria needs to do to get it right, Peter Obi is winning. Unfortunately, amongst the illiterate, who have been kept that way by their wicked task masters and who for a morsel of bread can sell their votes, he hasn't gained much ground. Politicians who play the dirty game of ethnicity (it's out turn) and religion (let's please Northern Muslims) are having sway here. This is the reason such regions and people have been kept in darkness. Still falling for the lies and promises of those who used and dumped them to make their own money. Selling their future for 5 thousand naira at the polls or becoming online spambots just to fend. Peter Obi is winning a lot amongst the literate and in developed regions because people see he's bringing hope. They understand his ideas and he's not playing dirty partisan politics. None of the other aspirants have understood the economy as he does or even spoken to the populace about what they plan to do. Holding on to stories of what you did in your state as governor is not enough. Please explain to us what Nigeria's problems are and how to solve them. With one dollar to 700 naira, economy is the biggest problem. Peter Obi is offering more. Like James Carville said in 1992, "it's the economy, stupid!" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_the_economy,_stupid) This formed the slogan for bill Clinton's political campaign to defeat incumbent George Bush snr. In Nigeria today, it's still the economy my dear and Obi knows it better. |

3ple9iner:That is state politics. This is national. If we don't get it right now, Na japa ọ. The stock market will appreciate if Obi wins not because he's special but because it shows that incumbency doesn't have all the power in Nigeria. It's a sign to foreign investors that Nigeria is not a one party state that can crash their business. If these folks come back in, it just shows there's no credible opposition and things are the way they still are. Think economy not religion or ethnicity. |
rusher14:Because of Obi as the vice. The ballot was balanced and the suffering under APC had begun then. |
