seun0622:

I just subscribed 2 IPNX 10GB montly plan, bougt te modem 4 36K and paid a monthly subscription of N 28,350. for a12 system cafe. Very fast link. The only issue with this that when u exhaust the 10GB data allowance ,you ll be cut off, so u cn try and configure your router in a way that you ll disable download of video streams, udio and games download. with thie ytou ll enjoyIPNX and assuming you want to increase the no of your systems to 20 or more you cn move up to the 18GBplan.

Thanks for the info.

@ kay 80
the same ipnx box serves all three purpose, u ll only need to activate it, using foreign ip is gud but not the ultimate, i dont use it, any serious yy guy has socks or tunneller he can use to change the ip. foregn isp are too expensive so i will advise not to try it and moreover dont base your cafe on yy guy they dont make the biz thrive cos they know all the tricks,
all said cafe is still gud to me,

Thanks for the info. But can I visit u in ibadan? you can send location to kaysoft2000@yahoo.com

i opened my cafe just last january, like most biz it was challenging, rite now i dont make less than 10k per day, what matters most in any biz is the location and customer relation. Ipnx is doing well as a isp putting in mind that all isp has their downtime, gilat inclusive, moreover dopc sucks.

Thanks for the info. Someone suggested that anybody that really want to do cafe business should ignore Nigerian ISPs. Do IPNX use nigerian ip address? if no, then how do use a foreign ip that is not too costly? I am sure that using a foreign ip can boost the cafe business.
Also, i learnt from IPNX website that one can combine internet browsing with faxing and telephoning business on their modem. Does that means one will be buying additional devices like fax machine and box phone with the modem?

Kolnel,
Please shed more light on this.

I have a cafe too and d biz is becoming worrisome. Which ISP can u recommend.I pay heavily to Gilat - about 200k monthly on 128/196k for C-band. I have had conflicting report. Some say Ariave, Others say DOPC . Is there anyone with a working knowledge of the right ISP. I have 20 systems

Why dont you try DOPC. You can get a cheaper price at N 217,350 for 200/512 kbps. It is unlimited and should be able to carry your 20 systems. Try to visit their office at ilupeju for more details.

ok, i run a cafe in ibadan. Presently i run on ipnx and onet, but i prefer o net, they ve downtime but every isp does, the problem with ipnx is you can consume all your bandwidth within a week depending on your no of client. so i only use ipnx for back up in case there is problem with onet which doesnt happen every time.

Thanks for your post - kolnel. I intend using the ipnx broadband (10GB bandwith) with 10 systems. I wish to start with only day browsing, no night browsing for now. Will this enough within 30 days. also can I have your email address/mobile no so that we can talk better. Really appreciate

MzDarkSkin:

LMFAO! *crying*. Well said.

Back on topic: God bless you @ the poster. I wish you well and you will be in my prayers even if I don't know your name. I have test every three months for HIV. I think people assume you have to be Homosexual, On drugs or sleep around to contract the disease not knowing while you may be faithful, your partner may not be or simply you can get the infection for coming into contact with infected person's blood. It is not bold of you, it is very BRAVE of you to say so on the forum. Stay positive and do not hide your status.

I pity your case MzDarkSkin. Why is it that you people do not see anything good in the name of Allah? What is wrong with somebody stating a part of her belief that Allah (GOD) has created a cure for every disease. If there has been no cure for HIV AIDS yet, that does not mean it has no cure. It means scientists are yet to discover it. SIMPLE.
The issue of Yar'Dua health has nothing to do here. If Allah wills, He will grant him cure, though it is our prayer that he recovers. But I am sure that Yar'Dua knows that the ultimate goal of every Muslims is to enter paradise. So if he dies through this ill-health, it does not mean that the sickness he suffers from is not curable.

Let us be focussed in addressing issues.
Computers / What Do You Know About Ipnx by kay80(m): 10:36am On Mar 09, 2010
Dear all,
I learnt IPNX is a good isp. Please I need more information on them. I intend going into cafe biz with 10 systems. I read on their website that one can subscribe to 10GB bandwith for N 27,850 per month charge. Do we have people using it here especially in Ibadan. What about downtimes because I am aware that other service providers like o'net are very bad. Besides the cost of getting a vsat (with DOPC) is high. Please post your experience with ipnx here (ibadan cafe owners).

Hello

the 1.5KVA inverter with installation and battery is N195,000. i look forward to hearing from you

Thanks for the reply. But the price seems high. By the way, how many deep cell battery will you supply with the inverter to make 1.5kva? Also how many hours can it supply if running at full load (1.4 kva)?

@ poster,
I am suprised to read this post regarding GT bank. Why dont you to go to your branch and sort this problem with them. You cannot continue to make phone calls and write e-mails. Go to your branch and request to see the Branch Manager or your account officer. Go early in the moring. Take it serious with them. Also make sure you go with your supporting documents. This is money issue. Stop calling,

@kay

Thank you Kay. The only slight problem i have is that my farm is based in Ibadan and the market seems to be very poor over there but i am still trying. I think i will prefer Lagos market which is a little better but if have any good buyer from Ibadan i will not hesitate to sell. I really appreciate your concern and contribution. Thank you.
It does not matter where you are located. There are tantalizer and mr biggs outlets in ibadan. Why dont you walk up to them and talk to them. You might be lucky. Besides try other bigger farms like Zartech and Ajanla farms.

hello my people, quick question for y'all.
I have a domciliary acct with GTB Nigeria, do anyone knows the best means of sending USD to a gtb dom acct in nigeria.
thanks

Buy dollar at the black market from the abokis and pay directly to your dom bank acct. Its as simple as that. You only need bank wire transfer to deposit or withdraw foreign currency abroad. Most Nigerian Banks do not sell dollars except for travelling purpose. Hope this helps.
