Rewatch that fight. Korra went into the Avatar state while Kuvira was airborne. Those pictures are from the start of their fight.

It's statements like this that make people accuse Korra haters of not even watching the show and just making stuff up.

Saying "even Zaheer" is hilarious because Zaheer is an opponent who specifically had a plan that depended on the Avatar going into the Avatar state and he still needed her chained up. He should've just faced her with her hands free then, if he was truly not afraid of her Avatar state.

In pure fighting ability outside the Avatar State, Korra probably edges out Aang. She’s more naturally combative and versatile in close-quarters combat, while Aang leans on evasion and redirection. In the Avatar State, it’s closer—Aang’s got the advantage of all past Avatars’ knowledge, making his peak moments (like the Ozai fight) jaw-droppingly precise, but Korra’s raw strength and decisiveness make her terrifyingly effective, even without that spiritual depth post-Season 2.
It might come down to context: Aang’s better at fighting while staying true to a philosophy of peace, while Korra’s the go-to if you need someone to throw down and end a threat fast.

Still mulling on this but yeah, it probably does come down to context.

It's not about me not liking the episode.
Almost half of the episode was dedicated to the back story a new one off character. Meanwhile, the show introduced a Chekhov's gun in the show during Priscilla-Sirus fight.
They should have spent more time explaining that instead of introducing a new character that'll probably only be present during this arc, and never seen again.

The fact that Liliana would probably only be present during this arc and never seen again is exactly why it makes sense for her to get an episode or even two dedicated to her. She's a character that'd probably be relevant only for this arc.

We're still going to see a lot more of Priscilla and there'll be enough time to delve into her character properly as the story continues to unfold.

It has been a mixed bag. I enjoyed the Sirius fights but the Garfiel and Wilhem fights have been lacking so far. Also some janky animation here and there.

Well, we are not a monolith. We'll always have different opinions.

Maybe expecting a big budget adaption for an isekai in its 3rd season is asking too much but I guess when you read the source material and wait for years, then you have higher expectations.

The season isn't over though so I hope it gets better.

How better do you want it to get? What exactly is not being executed properly as it currently is that could be improved by a bigger budget?
