To Your Eternity started with a touching, emotional episode and great music and ended with a touching, emotional episode and great music. Gave us very good story arcs along the way. Definitely a strong contender for AotY.
Kaycee7 will have my head on several platters if I don’t mention Eva Marie. Probably stewing she’s not higher up in this recap actually, so if you don’t see me reviewing NXT tomorrow, you know why. Then again, you saw that “match” just like I did. She was ruled unable to compete against Doudrop, who quickly declared herself the winner just to mess with Ms. Marie. The only redeeming quality in this whole thing is Doudrop taking ownership of a name given to her by a bully as an insult. I say this in my best Martin Lawrence voice: You go, girl.
Grade: C-
Wetin concern me with Lazy Marie? Make she finish this her program with Piper (I refuse to use that nonsense name) and be going abeg. She no even fine like that.
SPOILER ALERT!! I repeat, SPOILER ALERT!! This is not a drill.
Reminiscence 7.5/10
Beneath the dystopian, sci-fi setting, Lisa Joy manages to weave a very human story about redemption and closure. Hugh Jackman delivers a pretty decent performance as Nick Bannister, a neuro-investigator who helps people navigate their past memories, with the help of his partner, Watts (Thandiwe Newton). He eventually gets caught up in his own past when his lady love, Mae, played by the lovely Rebecca Ferguson, leaves abruptly. Nick will go on a journey, a journey through memory, to discover the whereabouts of his lover and uncover secrets that make him question whether he ever knew the woman he fell in love with.
Lisa Joy's movie beautifully explores the human relationship with memories and experiences, how we relate to the past and how it shapes our future. With well-written dialogue that interests, as well as, entertains. I enjoyed Daniel Wu's character mixing Cantonese lingo with his English. And engaging scenes that draw the viewer in. Ferguson's singing scenes are compelling and her voice blends into the scenery. The most beautiful part of the movie for me was during the climax when it turns out Mae planned out a memory for Nick, playing out the whole scene as though Nick was present. I loved that. Lisa Joy still has a few kinks to work out in her directing. But I'm looking forward to seeing more projects from her.
Najdorf: Not familiar with the early dbz story, how did they even end up together?
Krillin developed a crush on her after their early meetings. She would end up finding his straightforwardness attractive. Their relationship developed as the series progressed. And sometime after the Cell Saga, they married and had a kid.
3minssex: Don't allow Saitama fans to see this, they'll roast you alive.
Saitama is a joke character. According to his fans, he's limitless therefore he can solo/stomp anybody, even the likes of the living tribunal in marvel.
What a joke!
I've tangled with Saitama stans back in the day. And they quickly learnt that 2 can play the No Limit Fallacy game.
