Very beautiful CG imagery. Plot was rather basic. I don't think any of the actors were trying too hard. Some lines were a bit cringe, though. Now we've seen Dark Fey, I want to see Light Fey too.
Pinto is all the cuteness I never knew I needed. Just look at that face
IMAliyu: Slime boy is a far more interesting isekai power fantasy than most.
Maybe it just wasn't in your taste.
And I can't wait for season 2 where we get an overlord twist.
Don't get the wrong idea. I love Slime. It's premise and execution is just too ridiculous. Maybe it's because I haven't finished it yet. Perhaps there's some twist or progression at the ending that elevates the anime.
The only warning I'll give, not for the faint of heart or overly emotional. The emotions I felt from this anime, the subtle messages that I keep picking up even after finishing it. It's an unforgettable experience. And the music was fantastic.
oyaskii: I still stated that the lethal force was not necessary yesterday, but they have clearly made up thier mind to cross the border or least go down as some kind of hero seeing they already had a cult following among the blacks. In all honesty what would you have suggested the police should have done?
A stun gun. Close in take-down. There's multiple options as long as someone isn't brandishing a projectile weapon.
Then it's wrong for the police to shoot at them. Basic protocol dictates that the police only shoot when lethal force is anticipated. Basically, you have to actually attempt to kill a police officer or a civilian before lethal force (shooting) can be used against you. That scene was depicting racist brutality against the black man.
Mark23: At least you mentioned one. I expected you to mention several. It seems like you are one of those people that like to hate on popular things and yet still watch them looking for reasons to hate them even more. Don't conclude something is bad just because you don't like it. If the story was that bad do you think the manga would be so successful?
Leemao. You think manga and anime success is by good story. If this was the case, Fairy Tail and Sword Art Online would have died since. I'm also a big Demon Slayer fan. Just trying to let you know anime/manga success no be by good story
oyaskii: Story.. Disobeying orders most times will elicit a reaction, if the person is armed and unwilling to cooperate the cop are obliged by law use force tho not lethal expect the armed person poses a clear and present danger...let the machete man try to chop of the head of the cop lemme see how his reaction will be..so in perspective it boils down to dealing with a rational "armed" person or dealing with an irrational crack head armed person.
Now back to Queen and slim, i did say the cop gave orders which they refuse hence the shot and then i said it shouldn't have been lethal since they were unharmed, but this Mfs were Fugitives (as far as the cops where concerned at that point) about to escape the country...so i say they got what they bargained for.
Did they shoot at the police or simply refuse to comply with orders?
Finished Drifters. Now I'm actually thinking about going to read the manga.
Now watching Devilman: Crybaby. And this anime wild as fvck. What kind of imagination does the mangaka have, I wonder. And yet, they still manage to use it to tell a compelling and engaging story. Can't wait to finish it.
Cliché plot, action scenes were on and off and the acting was just there. Stunts and execution varied from good in some scenes to horrible in others. Surprisingly, I didn't hate it like I thought I would. At least, it didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth. There were some moments of virtue-signaling, third-wave feminism but they just made me role my eyes and I probably cringed only once or twice. I actually liked the 3 lead actresses. Yes, even Kristen Stewart's character. And, looorrdddd, Ella Balinska is haaaawwwwt! She's the .5 in my rating. Just for her, I take back what I said to nani, this movie should definitely be watched in the highest possible resolution.
Bratking: Jetpacks and hoverboards, even nanotech have been invented though. Saw a viral YouTube video of a Volkswagen engineered hovercar the other day. It has no tires, or any visible propeller, but was floating in moderate speed in busy asian high road.
The futuristic techs are there, it just that they haven't gone mainstream yet.
Bratking: The bolded shows you haven't even watched the very film you're defending, because you'd know the film's timeline was 2017.
My criticism of the primitive tech lies in the fact that the tech didn't look futuristic.
Most futuristic tech in old sci-fi movies were hit-or-miss. But don't let that distract you from the fact that we still haven't gotten jetpacks or hoverboards.
I don't think not being employed to WWE can affect him on upupdowndown tho
