i think daemon is somehow connected to the misbehaviour of baegan.. I think baegan was d dragon daemon went to meet at that cave/tunnel if i'm nt mistaken.
It seemed like d only bright way to get his niece to war...
Heavenly message that when I inevitably rewatch Kaguya-sama: Love is Peak, it should be in dub. I thought sub narrator was wildling but dub narrator on some next level shît
pu7pl3: Na Kaycee,7 and Baddestguy,p give me assignment o in between the assignment I come deviate enter any kind of animation...apart from HOD and ROP there was no other live series I was watching
uche40: It was the voice acting I was referring to as exaggerated and cringe-worthy. Especially with the females. Perhaps it's done for comedic effects, I don't really know.
Alright. Was thinking maybe it was a dub thing. Try the movies though. I think the voice acting in those is less gimmicky.
uche40: It's just not my style. I find the voice acting in most anime that I've watched to be exaggerated and cringe-worthy, coupled with dialogue that often comes across as juvenile. Some of the stories are also very repetitive and boring for me. Also (and this is just my opinion or observation), the industry is rife with misogyny and sexual objectification of female characters. Hell, even Death Note is replete with countless examples of misogyny in its writing.
You watch the Japanese with sub or the English dub?
pu7pl3: I've been wanting to say it's not been that great but it's not been mid either... Just didn't want to stir up any controversy.
nkiliuzo: chainsaw man has been mid so far, TF why are people hyping it so much? I don't see it... it's been generic so far
It's only been 2 episodes so far. Still to early to class it mid. Not every show hits the ground running. CSM is still introducing characters. Make we calm down give them a few more episodes.
IngeniousLeez: Mehn, you entered Gold. you be OG bro. Almost a decade of experience. Teach me the way Sensei.
Saw some English dubbed anime like Dragonball and Pokémon on Dbn and I think Channels. But I wasn't too interested in them. It was Yu gi Oh! in 2011-12 I really watched. Damn, I never missed that shït every weekday on Galaxy TV. Those people broke my heart the time they stopped showing that series.
Never really got easy access or exposure to anime after then. By the time I really got well aware of anime in 2015-16 I no really Sabi anime sites. And most of the popular anime were far into hundreds of episodes I was too far aback I couldn't join.
Na 2019 my interest rise again and peaked in 2020.
The anime with 1000 plus episodes I really wanna watch and plan to someday is One Piece.
Advice on One Piece: The longer you leave it, the more intimidating the task begins to look. If you take it an episode a day, by the time you're actually ready to binge the rest, you'll probably find that you've got about 500 episodes or less left, as opposed to a 1000+
IngeniousLeez: Tales by Moonlight is one junior kids classic I'd easily rewatch in adulthood now.
Same here. Didn't know they were called anime. I just knew they were unique. I watched some anime as a kid but didn't fully join the fandom. Ie Akira, Cowboy Bebop.... Also kids in my neighborhood as I weirdly remember now never were into animé. We were mainly into some Hollywood and mostly Chinese movies. Probably why I never fully got into it. Even in school, they weren't discussed until I got into SS 1. Avatar was the closest thing to anime i really followed.
There was a time around 14-15yrs of age when I would have joined anime lore full-time. I wanted to buy Naruto dvd then only to find out about 40+ seasons. Na there fear catch me. I used my free money, saved it up and bought series or movies of interest. Doing the calculations, #100 X 40+ dvd copies of just one franchise wasn't feasible when I was the primary buyer of films for house. 4k go just blow like that when I get tons of movies to watch. Na wetin make me hate that franchise up till today.
How did you get to watch anime? Was it through DVDs or cable? And or mainly influenced by an older sibling? is Zoro counted as anime? It was my favourite as a kid then.
ETv in Enugu back in the early 2000s used to do runs of Dragonball, Pokemon and Digimon and movies like Princess Mononoke and Tekken. Our neighbour also had Toonami on their cable so I got to watch other titles like Samurai X, Sailor Moon and Utena. Also have a clear memory of watching Tokyo Godfathers at one of my best friends' house cos that's the first time I came across the word, "transvestite". It was also the first title I watched in Japanese with sub. The rest had been English dub so far.
Then around 2009, I discovered Naruto and a friend of mine gave me a few DVDs but wouldn't fully get into it until 2010, became a full blown Narutard. Also started hearing about Bleach. The next year, went to my cousin's house, saw the Yoruichi vs Soi Fon fight and was instantly sold on Bleach. Started downloading episodes by 2013 and was now able to access so many other shows I'd only heard about or seen a few clips and that's how I got to this point.
abduleez1: Teletubbies was the illest during my formative years bro. Although I think it's probably cos my dad got us the DVD. We didn't watch it on cable or free to air channels. I think I mistakenly saw the disk few months in our old catalogue. I just dey smile.
Na that Sesame Street and Muppets we wasn't into sef. I just saw snippets of SS on NTA then but e no to freak me. Na those Tales by Moonlight be the GOATED OG kid content then. After Teletubbies, we gravitated towards Barney and Friends.
I still dey wonder how we didn't catch on to anime during those pre-teen years. Na when I dey older turn adult I come dey dabble.
Tales by Moonlight is am eternal classic. Wish we could get some HD remasters of the OG episodes for our kids.
I started watching anime as a kid. Just didn't know they were called anime till I started watching Naruto and joined the fandom online.
I been dey think Pinky Winky or Tinky Winky. I just concluded it's part of the theme song where they call out their names. I come dey doubt my memory. Thanks bruh.
You remember that mumu vacuum cleaner name wey dey swallow things up?
Nah! Wasn't even really into Teletubbies much as a kid. Same with Sesame Street and Muppets
abduleez1: See the gutter ratings those w@nkers gave Free State of Jones. I just confirmed these people play politics with their ratings. If you calmly read some reviews of some of these critics you'd be surprised how they became 'professional' critics. Some just mix emotions with ratings and think they objective.
Read one ZSJL review that was talking about how the rest of the team had to wait for a straight, white male Superman to come and save them as a negative aspect of the movie and I wanted to tell the reviewer to go outside and touch grass.
