The fact that nobody, Christians, theists or Atheists, on this thread can give a reasonable answer shows there is much we humans don't understand.
Some people say it's when we get to heaven we'll know these things, and some people claim it doesn't exist. Either way, we'll know the truth in due time. |
Celebrities › Re: Davido Congratulates Tyla As She Wins Her First Grammy Award by Kayclite: 3:54pm On Feb 05, 2024 |
aribisala0: This is my take on the Grammy Award African category 1. None of the nominees really produces AFRICAN MUSIC. They are producing commercial music. and their nominations are influenced by AMERICAN RECORD LABELS. Was there any nominee not connected to an American label. Increasingly we are being made to accept that kind of music which is sweet to American ears as the best. There is nothing wrong with winning any award but we must be awake to the influence of. Money and how that dictates to us what we must like. Fela did not gain fame by trying to Westernize his message. It seems to me that it is better business for the American labels to bring a new winner rather than recycle the usual Nigerian suspects. I urge our musicians to remain original and not try to please anyone
2. It is a shame and a sign of colonialism that Africans should be waiting for America to tell us the best African songs each year. We should be able to do that ourselves in an African capital 3. Even more shameful that we mill around to celebrate like fools totally oblivious to the cultural participation and our own shameless validation craving. no doubt many would have felt good if one of our own bad won but that would merely be feeding a growing addiction 4. Why can't we have our own award in Yaounde or Abidjan or Abuja 5. One final word on money. The Grammy awards in 2020 made $110 million from advertising alone. It is business. Africa has 54 countries we should wake up . Start having our own ... |

Wow!!! Things really have gotten out of hand
I'm astonished that we are now taking this seriously. It's good and it should be continually discussed in all media in my opinion The truth is there are so many levels to this problem. It's not as easy as just pointing the finger at people and blaming them.
Various issues to be addressed are; 1. Low Character Training from Parents and Close ones. 2. Poor Diet and Consumption of Artificial Food, Drugs, and Inorganic Drinks (which can lead to hormonal imbalance and cause adverse behavioural patterns). 3. Lack of a Strong Moral Value System in Society. We collectively have put too much energy into money, fame, talent, and education, and left out morality as a personal and social fulfillment. 4. Materialism or material addiction. |

cococandy: But it’s happening in Palestine and where’s the cascading catastrophe?
You have too much faith and I applaud that.
But in the real world, nothing actually happens until a very powerful someone’s pocket is affected. Then they stand up and do something to secure/protect their generational wealth.
They don’t need to start a “needless” genocide. All they need is to label and categorize the group they want to kill as bad or terroristic and everyone will keep mute when it happens. If life on earth is one thing, it’s filled with patterns. And these patterns always repeat themselves. People just never learn. Give them an “enemy” and they will gladly burn themselves too trying to help you fight this so-called enemy.
That’s why I caution people against buying into hateful propaganda. It’s never for anyone’s benefit except for those who are going to be financially gaining from the unrest that will ensue No. Not the direction I was pointing to. I'll just say that it's not only money that decides whether things happen or not. Personally, I don't buy into Western Propaganda or hateful ones, and the majority of Igbos I know don't. I'll end here. |

cococandy: Do not underestimate the power of financial ties and diplomatic ties.
Will the influence of igbos affect their trade relations and diplomatic ties to the actual country of Nigeria? If it won’t, they don’t care.
Follow the money. I'm pro-African. I don't like to talk about such negative doom and gloom. A genocide in this era will cause a cascading catastrophic effect across the continent, especially one drawn on religious lines. Any African leader would be unwise to attempt such. Africans are more awake and conscious now. However, let's assume this hypothetical scenario. There is a reason why America stays neutral on African politics. Long term, they would have to face reputational risk, given China and India are strong rivals. They haven't even dealt with the bad image of the history of West African slavery. To contribute to an African tribe's genocide which most of those same ADOS Blacks feel a kinship to would be very displeasing to a good portion of their population. Money or not, they won't take that risk. Is it Oil that's already losing relevance yearly? I don't think there's any particular resource they'll feel obliged to. |

cococandy: That’s just delusional No offense.
If anything they will team up with other countries to try and genocide innocent igbo people off the face of the earth claiming they are IPOB “terrorists“ and everyone will stand by and support them because we hate “terrorists”. America will support the side that financially benefits them and that will be the Nigerian side against the Biafran side. The will create smear campaigns to instigate hate against igbo people internationally so everyone will feel better about turning a blind eye to the deaths of millions of igbo citizens.
If you cannot see these clear parallels, I don’t know what to tell you then. When people are quick to support one side even if it’s the wrong side just because of religious beliefs they never know they are feeding the monster that will consume them eventually. Would be hard for them to do due to the influence of Igbos in the US. Plus, many African Americans share Igbo roots. There would be counter-awareness in the States. P.S. I don't support any acts of violence whatsoever against any people. |

MOST ladies on these categories are not wife material. There attitudes will discourage you about marriage. 2. They are either too materialistic, irrespsonsible, proud or arrogant. 3. Not yet ready to be under the control of any man. These category are called "The Boss Ladies" 4. Only but a few are under a spell or bound down by spiritual/diabolic powers. They are the list of about 3% of the catagory of ladies past 30yrs and still single. Yeah, it's unfortunate. Some lacked proper guidance or experienced early traumas. Plus, negative programming these days. And an overall bad socio-political-economic system |

Kobojunkie: I will take the statement in bold to mean we have nothing else to discuss. All right. I'll tell you something, raising kids in a nudist lifestyle or not has nothing to do with hypersexuality. There are many factors behind that. I won't say modern society doesn't have its flaws, however, the lack of nudism is not one of them. And, our ancestors were not always naked. |

Kobojunkie:
You were supposed to watch the video to learn how these people do not necessarily connect nudity to sex as many of you seem to immediately the word is flashed on the screen. The statement I made regarding rape was just that, an additional statement to also consider.
Why would I need to do that in this case? The truth is I'm neutral on the OP's topic. You linked the hypersexuality of kids raised in nudist culture to those of modern culture to which I asked for proof. Isn't the frequency of sexual activity an indication of hypersexuality? |

Kobojunkie: Try to stay on topic. OP asked if parents can disrobe in the presence of their kids, not if we are going to go back to living as nudists in Africa. No one here is saying let's go naked all the time in public, neither have I suggested it as a way forward.
The picture is to show that nudity was part and parcel of our ancestry and still is even in this day and age. There are parents who disrobe in front of their kids regularly in that same Nigeria and these kids are not half as hypersexualized as your kids who see their parents clothed almost 24/7. The picture shows that children who are around parents who disrobe do not grow up with as many body image issues as children who are around adults who are clothed almost 24/7. Do you have any proof/study towards the bolded? |

Kobojunkie: So the Nigerians in the picture are oyinbos? You're always bringing up this picture. This is a different setting. This lifestyle won't work in modern society. And I don't see us modern people returning to such a way of life unless a major global catastrophe occurs. |

She is a Dravidian Indian like my friend Babu and my neighbour Chintu both from Kerala (Malayalam).
Dravidians come in different shades of skin colour. Some are very light skinned whild some are extremely dark skinned. But their hair would always give them away as not Africans unlike the extremely minority Siddis that are actually Africans.
Map of Dravidian India below. Not exactly. A good portion of the Dravidian (at least, a good portion of Tamil I know of) know very well they are original people similar to Africans. To be original means to be Black, because that is the first DNA marker of humans on Earth. |
