whitecat007: Obama is not a black man, he is white and black,
........ and you are not a white cat. grin

whitecat007: All these misinformation self smh, Obama is closing down coal industries over some half inch fish environmentalists want to protect. his friend with the last name Green wants animals to have the same right as humans. After gay marriage, abortion and now drugs. Democrats fought hard to remove bibles from school and replace it with condoms. who is that person without bipolar or evil heart would vote for all these values?
What misinformation ?
If there's something you don't understand, point it out and I'll explain further to you.

Obama is closing down coal industries, yes , when they don't adhere to environmental rules and Romney agrees or agreed with that at one point in his life. He said "this coal plant behind me kills and i will shut it down"
So it is not an Obama thing.

A lot of uninformed people think that environmental protection should be swept under the carpet but if you know the combination of carcinogenic chemicals that flow into fracking wells, you will settle for drinking only rain water from now on.

I drink water straight from my fridge tap which is connected to general water supply and I hope and pray all the time that the subsurface aquifer hasn't been compromised by drilling activities.
I dont know if you ever saw the documentary of the guy in Pennsylvania or so, whose water tap spits flammable water. Imagine how sick you can get by drinking cancerous water.
So, its not just about the fishes and animals, its about our protection too.

For those social issues, gay marriage, abortions, etc., the problem with them lies in the constitutional ammendments and independence charters of freedom and rights.

I dont know what the republicans and their supporters want:
They want to reduce debt but they dont want to tax the rich - How is it supposed to work ?
They want to cut spending and at the same time increase unnecessary defense spending - How is it supposed to work?
. . . . . and so on.

White007: Kay-dee, nice post.
I'm tired of people who keep saying Obama has done nothing for his people (AA, Black Race). Was he elected as a president of United State or president of the balck race?
Why do people keep saying this? Obama as president represent the whole Country, I.e Hispanic, white, Asian, black and all the race that make up the U. S.
Don't expect him to single out the blacks and help them, cuz he is black, that will amount to favoritism.
I tire for them o.
I don't know where they get their news and info from, but they keep criticizing the poor guy. He's not perfect but I can see he has the middle class and poor people in mind with his policies and ideas.

Foreign AffairsRe: University Of Mississippi Students Protest Obama Re-election. by KayDee4:
cap28: interesting analysis from a former economist during Reagan' administration, Kaydee try reading this, you might learn something.

Obama has zero power or control over america's domestic or foreign policy , no US president has real power, the banks and multinational corporations run america oh and the Jewish lobby and their every demand is implemented by congress most of whom are on the payroll of these special interst groups, the last US president who tried to go against the special interest groups ie the banks, the military industrial complex, the multinational corporations wound up with his head blown off. The elections are just a dog and pony show - an illusion used to deceive the american people into thinking that they have a say in the running of their country - they dont. What sort of a choice do you have when both candidates are two sides of the same coin? Both Obama and Romney are servants of wall street, the military industrial complex, the corporations and the oil companies - stop deceiving yourself that you live in a democratic nation, just the other day Obama passed the NDAA which effectively allows the govt to arrest and detain american citizens indifinitely without due process.
http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2012/11/07/the-special-interests-won-again/
Well, I read it and I learnt nothing new.

No doubt, no president can run a country on his own, that is why the Federal government is not a one-man show, but to say he has 0 control over foreign or domestic policy, doesn't sound correct to me, infact it's wrong.

To win the White House or a presidential appointment is a career-making event as it makes a person sought after by rich and powerful interest groups. In Congress the majority party can provide more services and is thus more valuable than the minority party.
That is why he initially said he wasn't going to take 'big' money from outside groups and chose to raise 'kobo-kobo' from the common people on the street whose interest he was going to serve in the white house. He only made a U-turn when Romney was raking in millions and he realised that a broke campaign would stand no chance against the mega-millionaires.

Banks, multinationals and other interest groups that were against Obama in this just concluded election and why;
- Wall street (Majority) - Regulations to curb their excesses and protect people like me.
- Oil companies - because he plans to cut their subsidies (tax payers money) and won't let them drill every corner of the US.
- Even the chamber of commerce
- Arms dealers - because no Obama war or ending the raging ones means no business for them. - Obama wants to do home building instead of fighting another war overseas.
- NRA and Koch brothers.
etc etc .

Why would they so desperately want to unseat Obama if he serves their interest like you, the author of that article and most other people keep saying.

all these guys were behind Romney.

Romney would have been a puppet if he had won, he already signed a tax reduction (for the rich) agreement with Grover Norquist. The same Norquist who said "we don't need government to tell us how to do our business, all we need is someone in the white house to sign whatever we send to him". undecided

Protecting Israel has become an American thing over the years and I think Obama has been very relaxed and careful about decisions made in this regard and the repubs have been knocking him for it, for being 'too slow' to act (strike). Believe me, if a republican was the president, they would have bombed Iran by now.

Most of Obama's donors this time were Hollywood stars, Jay-Z, etc etc, what special favour/interest can these people possibly demand from him in return for helping him raise money.

The drone bombings in the middle east is unfortunate, blame it on Al Qaeda who asked for trouble first.
The law to assassinate or detain American citizens, I guess refers to what happened to the American-born Al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki, he chose to be a terrorist and that he is American makes his crime no less that Osama Bin Laden's. His as$.s deserved to be nuked. grin
Foreign AffairsRe: University Of Mississippi Students Protest Obama Re-election. by KayDee4: 2:47am On Nov 10, 2012
^^^^
You can say the green energy people (who helped his first campaign) benefited from stimulus money but that was because Obama like a lot of other people believe in alternative energy and were hopeful that jobs will pop up from those areas and most of those companies failed; but who do you blame for that?. It was a gamble which could have gone either way just like the auto bail out and Osama raid.
You win some, you lose some.
Foreign AffairsRe: University Of Mississippi Students Protest Obama Re-election. by KayDee4:
cap28: but he does not represent the interests of black americans or blacks anywhere else in the world for that matter.
Goldman sachs bankrolled his first presidential election campaign and most of his cabinet is made up of former wall street investment bankers - he is a puppet:
What exactly is Obama supposed to do for just 'black people' ? Take them to the city square and spoon-feed them ?
I hear this all the time from black folks who have done nothing to even help their situation, people who do nothing but smoke weed all day and fawk all night instead of going to school with available financial aid, and I keep wondering. You have to help yourself first and you may just get your deserved reward; Eric Holder was qualified for a job and Obama gave it to him. simple
He is the American President and not the President for Black Americans.

and this crap I keep hearing about Obama being a wall street puppet is ridiculous; if he was, why do they hate him so much on wall street? Does a puppet master ever hate his puppet ? Mr Geppetto loved Pinocchio like crazy.

The answer is simple, to protect 'common' people like me on main street, Obama made regulations on wall street tighter . Now that's what a puppet does to his master, right ?

They bankrolled his first election (he wasn't going to reject their money anyway) but he didn't promise them heaven and earth in return and he still did his job the right way. They turned against him when he tightened the noose on their necks. He tried to reduce the influence of lobbyists and 'outside money' groups on general elections but the repubs fought him all the way to the supreme court and they won with the citizens united ruling.
He initially said he wasn't going to take money for this just concluded elections from lobbyists and outside groups but the way Romney was going with his fund raising Obama wld have been swept away if he didn't make a U-turn so he went out and raised 'big' money, not as much came from wall street as the last time.
I'm sure he didn't promise them jack and the fear of regulations caused stocks to fall yesterday when Obama won re-election.

So much for being a wall street puppet.

thelastPope: 1800s? Youre are kiddin right? Even Martin Luther King Junior was a republican! The blacks only started joining the democratic party in the 90s and moved enmass because of Obama. Even the republican blacks voted Obama in the last 2 elections.
The current republican party is full of racists - fact. Even Lawrence Wilkerson, a white republican said the same some weeks ago. They constantly make hateful racial statements against blacks and other minorities. Someone like Michelle Bachmann who is very 'religious', thinks all muslims are evil and constantly spews hateful thrash about them. Whether the democrats were more racist in the past is irrelevant.

thelastPope: My family have never had any racial issues with white Americans. Especially the evangelicals. They are the nicest people in the world. Very accomodating and loving. But guess who we have had issues of segregation with?

You right! Black Americans! They are the worst people to be around. They are the real racists. They even discriminate against their fellow blacks from Africa and you telling me what?
Abeg o, I never said black Americans are the worst people to be around.

I have never had any open race-based issues with white or black Americans but racism is still very much alive. It happens in the undertone of events around us.
Don't be deceived by the thinking that republicans are evangelicals and are therefore, angelic. They are mostly hypocrites (an anti-abortion republican congress man was recently caught persuading his pregnant girlfriend to go get an abortion), the republicans I know in person don't even go to church and they do all sorts.

thelastPope: Unchecked immigration is not a good thing. All that talk of them adding to the economy is paper talk. All through history, unchecked immigration has always brought down the nations where it happened. I will say the truth no matter how it sounds and whether it affects me or not. Most Nigerians who go to the US somewhat add to the American economy because they tend to be responsible and follow carier paths. They might not be rich but most are decent. But the latinos are to the US what the north Africans are to france. They are slowly turning America to the new Mexico and thanks to the democratic party, they will succeed. If you think social security will continue to sustain for the next 10 years, you are lying to yourself. By the end of Obama's second term, America will be in a big financial mess. Please bookmark this page so you can refer to it.
About more people contributing to the economy, its not mere 'paper talk', it is real. If you say it's false then you have to give a good reason for saying so.
Of course unchecked immigration is not a good thing but who invented that ? Not the Democrats, not the Republicans and not OBAMA, it's an American problem which they have been trying to fix, the democrats didn't open up the borders for everyone to stroll through.
From my observation and in my own opinion, Mexicans are more hard working than Nigerians here, the older ones work extremely hard doing all sorts of jobs and from whatever money they make, they ensure their children go to good schools to get a decent education. They are not 100% parasites like some paint them to be.
Foreign AffairsRe: Barack Obama Vs Mitt Romney : Election Night Thread by KayDee4(op): 6:10pm On Nov 07, 2012
thelastPope: This your post is what I call the new racism. Reverse racism! In the supposed fight against racism, the blacks have become the new racists. Some of you think the definition of racism is whites hating blacks. Racism can be black to white, red to asian, asian to black, black to red. What most of you have done is that you have fallen into a social trap. If the white man never wanted to allow you blacks gain anything, they would have done it. They could have built fences around america. China did it.
Reverse racism like you call it is more like a defensive reaction to racism. I do not support racism in any form but for many reasons, the black on white racism is not at the level of the white on black.

thelastPope: Slavery and segregation were fought by the republicam party. Then the democrats were busy killing blacks and forming the kkk. That is why I laugh when I see many of you insult American evangelicals. They were the ones that reached out to you and fought for your forefathers. That is why most blacks until the late 90s were in the republican party not the democratic party. The democratic party changed strategy in the late 50s and started embracing the minorities because they needed to use them. They decided the way to go was to sell social equality and wealth redistribution. Te clinton administration began promoting the concepts of wealth redistribution just to gain acceptance among the minorities. Tell me what Obama has done for black Americans. Most blacks went out yesterday and voted along racial lines. What happened yesterday was America divided along racial lines.
You're back on this your 1800s stance. That the Dems we're more racist to your great great great grandfathers means nothing in present day if they are now on your side, which is the current situation. The current racists are the republicans and racial minoritites know this that is why they generally drift towards the democrats - their new found friends.

thelastPope: The hispanic population is going to finally turn America into france and then into greece. It is already happening in California. The welfare system has been overrun by them and the prisons too. I posted several links earlier on. That was how the north Africans overran france and now they are in serious trouble

The hispanic population is going to finally turn America into france and then into greece. It is already happening in California. The welfare system has been overrun by them and the prisons too. I posted several links earlier on. That was how the north Africans overran france and now they are in serious trouble
What I can deduce from your last few posts is that immigration is a bad thing in your opinion (correct me if I'm wrong). There is nothing bad about hispanics or anyone migrating to the US, the US needs people as long as they are productive and can contribute to the society.

If there is no one in your community to move into a new house and pay rent duly, the housing sector doesn't boom, when people move into a community they patronize the stores and buy products manufactured by companies and the cycle goes on and on with other sectors and leads to a booming economy. Foreigners come here and start up business, make profits and pay taxes to the government; that is a decent contribution to the economy. Filtering the unproductive from the productive immigrants is the big problem and was not invented by the democrats. Both Democrats and Republicans agree that immigration system is broken and needs to be reformed; the republicans had a slightly different version of the immigration reform Obama proposed so he hasn't done anything bizzarely out of place.
