will like to see Ox and Gervinho switch flanks occasionally. Ox seems to have been boxed out on the right and Gervinho has a lot of space to himself on the left.

BlackPikiN:
First discovery of oil shale in Ebonyi

An oil shale deposit, possibly of high economic value and corresponding to the Turonian Ezeaku shale (lower Nkalagu formation) of the Lower Benue Trough, was found in a 1.5 × 1.0 km belt in Lokpanta near Okigwe, in Imo State, Nigeria. The characteristically dark-grey, laminated and fissile marlstone contains total organic carbon (TOC) > 7% in some locations and total extractable organic matter generally in excess of 10 000 ppm. The kerogen is type I–II (oil-prone) and at the updip rim it has attained intermediate thermal maturity status. An initial appraisal of the economic potential of the fossil fuel deposit by pyrolysis (modified Fischer assay) indicates an average oil-yield of more than 42 tonne−1, which is the lower acceptable threshold for economic exploitation. A total thickness of > 25 m was established by drilling/coring for one location. Apart from being the first recorded occurrence of oil shale in the Benue Trough, the Lokpanta discovery is important because it provides an authentic model for the deposition of anoxic sediments in the mid-Cretaceous Benue Trough. The most appropriate depositional setting for this highly carbonaceous shale seems to be sedimentation in a restricted euxinic platform (sub-basin) of the epeiric Benue sea.
Not sure anyone would want to jump into oil shale just yet with the vast abundance of 'conventional' oil we have.

BusinessRe: Banking Reform: More Workers To Lose Jobs by KayDee4: 11:58pm On Feb 17, 2012
I wont really blame Sanusi because I think by the reforms, he's trying to prevent a future catastrophe that might have worse effects than what we're seeing now. Unless there's an (additional), different motive which i'm not aware of.

With all the banks presenting the same assets @ different times of the year, shareholders were being misled and the economy, on paper was looking better than it actually was in reality; and with the amount being given out as loan, way above the minimum lending  . . . . . .  (a certain percentage of depositors' money, cant remember what its called now), depositors were @ risk of losing their money.

It looks more like financial cleansing of the banking sector. But with all the branches these banks have with new ones popping up everywhere as I noticed from last time around, these banks will always need more hands, unless they plan to shut down some of these branches.

andyanders:
In fact we make too much noise over the sacking of these staffs. It is only in Nigeria you see the kind of the numbers of staffs in banks. Some times, I wonder what their jobs are. You have a computer network and you find 10 staffs doing same jobs. The ladies put on provocative dresses walking around without doing anything. I went to one of the banks and I saw a lady always sanding in the banking hall of the bank whenever I go to the bank for any transaction. I called one of the tellers and I asked her what the ladies job is, I was told she is a customer relation officer. I now inquired what her duties are since she is always standing in the banking hall and I observed this for over one year. I was told that she only directs customers that walked into the banking hall. I asked the teller  the duty of the customer service officers since I saw about 3 of them sitting and attending to customers. The teller told me that, in fact, that they just wanted her there just doing nothing.

In the United States, you see very minute number of staff in a bank. But here in Nigeria, you see people who carry themselves as if they are lord. Leave the live of barons who deal on drugs. Manipulate accounts of people customers and say that they are wonder bankers.
Is your conclusion based on observation of just one lady in just one branch ? Some branches have high customer traffic and some others are just the opposite. Go to bank branches like Trinity or Oke-Arin in Lagos and you will hear customers begging for more people to be employed to serve them.

These banks have a lot of work to be done and they know it, as soon as they sack people and the quality of service drops, they will be back on the employment table looking for new intakes that they'll probably pay a lot less than the guys they let go.

FashionRe: Nigerian Girls And Cycling Shorts. by KayDee4: 6:18am On Feb 16, 2012
I see nothing wrong with it.

Is it that they are getting the colour mix all wrong or the fabric is inappropriate (denim) ?

Chicks wear compression shorts like . . . . . .  'normal', some under their skirts or gowns and some wear it just like that and nothing else.
