I THINK SHE HAS WRITERS TOO AND INFORMANTS, SHE CAN'T POST ALL THAT BY HERSELF, SHE'S JUST LYING THAT SHE SOLELY DO IT ON HER OWN, SHE MUST HAVE FREELANCERS.
Hmm! Okay. I tried it one day and my eyes started paining me at night.
WebmastersHow Does Linda Ikeji Manage To Post 80 Times Daily On Her Blog? by kayo80(op): 11:22pm On Apr 18, 2017
There was a time I was promoting my blog on her blog and I was constantly on there. I noticed she posts between 60-80 blog posts a day. I couldn't keep up with her. I have always wondered how she does this. She has said several times that she does all the posting herself (at least during the time I was monitoring her), and I just wonder how she does it.

"she is in her final year at the Nigerian Open University in Ibadan. Although she grew up in Ibadan and can speak Yoruba fluently, she is from Ogu Opa in Enugu state. Vivian is in her mid twenties, and would be rounding up her studies at N.O.U.N early next year. When I asked her what she wanted to do after school, she said she would like to open a big fruits store, and do business on a large scale in this area. The way she spoke about it with passion was so captivating."

The lady sure has a clear vision of where she wants to be.

She is humble enough to help her mother in the petty business. That sure shows she's hardworking to help her family put food on the table and herself through school.

She probably could have heard about Olajumoke's success story, thus, trying her luck smiley. Nothing is impossible for God.

Her dreams will come to pass regardless of peoples' assistance.

@OP, you have done well. Please, don't get discouraged by the negative comments.

SIRTee15's comments ain't far from the truth about what's responsible for the naysayers' comments.

Keep doing good just like the scriptures has encouraged us.

You are blessed.

UI not NOUN. She is a NOUN student selling at UI, and he thought she was a UI student hustling to make ends meet, which would have been remarkable because most pretty girls in UI would think of this as being beneath them.

Now, you must remember that the OP is a blogger not a philanthropist, and he is out to find interesting and unusual stories that can attract attention to his blog. As you have rightly noted, the story of the hustler is not at all new in Nigeria, however the story of a pretty girl who attends University but is humble enough to sell fruits to make her way is rather unique, wouldn't you agree?

Try to understand it from that light.
Thanks for this.

@ op, please don't be discouraged by comments here....
The truth is that the psyche of an average Nigerian has been irreparably damaged by our politicians to the extent they see ulterior motives in every act of charity embarked upon by selfless individuals.....
They have become chronic pessimist and hopeless cynics......

I remember when I was helping a young lady through uniben by paying her school fees and giving her monthly stipends.......
Nobody believed i didn't have anything intimate with this girl.........
Even when i invited her to my church to participate in some empowerment programs to help her start a business in her hostel, the wrong notion persisted.....
People just couldn't get to understand why i should be of assistance to a girl I'm not sleeping with.......
Only my boss believed me, and that was because he was equally into such act of charity in his catholic church.....
This was a girl selling recharge card on my street, only to walk up to me one day that she got admitted into uniben but has financial challenges.....
Her parents were not going to support her, rather they want her to travel to Italy......
People's reaction to my story and yours explain why this country is in a present mess it is right now....

I reside in UK now and what i noticed about their citizens is the strong passion they have for charities, both home and abroad.....
And yet we wonder why their country prosper....

What u did is noble and i want u to continue, u gave this girl good publicity and u never can say where her helper will come from....
And for those shouting about poor kids hawking on the streets.....
There's nothing stopping u from picking one on your street and changing her life......
Enough of being internet critics, u guys should do something real for once.....
God bless you for this comment.

Don't be bothered by Nairalanders negative comments.

You v decided to help the girl. Fine! Go ahead with you plain mind publicity without extorting the girl.
Even if you sponsor her with your personal money, they ll say
Thanks a lot for this comment. I really needed it right now. Kudos to you.

Is there any reason why you took a photo with her, don't you think this is rather unnecessary?

Also, N20K will positively affect that lady's business for good, I believe your immediate friends and family can raise this amount without nairaland influence na

Thanks for your interest though
I took the picture cos I have seen in the past where people said a story was fake because there was no picture of the person reporting the story with the person the story is about. Funny right? Anyway, I have removed that pic from my blog and I will try and get it removed it from Nairaland too.

About raising money, she might not even need money. I just felt giving her publicity might make a guide/mentor see her and come in.

Oga my first thought too was that this guy was just attracted to the girl since there was nothing exceptional about the way she arranged her fruits (in fact it is quite unappealing), but then he explained that he thought she was a student of UI (i guess going by the nicish way she dressed and comports herself). You must accept his explanation instead of sticking to your own theory. That is only fair.
God bless you for this comment.

lol! That was the last picture I took. One of her friends asked her to pose for the camera.

I don't know what we really want as Nigerian value or values. As I was reading this write-up I remember a niece of mine who got pregnant in SS2 but has refused to move on with her life after d mistake. As I speak her father has disowned her because of her wayward lifestyle. Let us learn how to celebrate good values when we see them in young people. She could have chosen to be one of those ladies who believe in using their bodies to get what they want. OP I give u kudos for this move. Pls don't be discouraged by your good intention that is being misconstrued and don't bother yourself convincing anybody some people are incurable cynics.

OP, If you on Twitter, follow @obyezeks and send her a tweet about this lady, you can also ask her to retweet this lady's story and pictures. That's the Twitter account of Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, and I know she has helped ladies like this in the past. A simple retweet from her about this girl's story might be all this lady needs to change her life today. PLUS, people who are interested in helping this young lady would rather prefer doing it through a well-known and trusted public figure like Dr. Oby. https://twitter.com/obyezeks?lang=en&lang=en
Okay. I will do so. Thank you.

Thanks by the way.

Oga sir, did she have NOUN written in caps on her forehead? Simply put, you gave her attention because you feel she is too pretty to be selling fruits. If she was ugly, we both know you wouldn't have approached her but that's not the case.

There are many people out there who hawk and carry out menial jobs just so they can feed atleast once a day. Their stories are surely even more heart-wrenching than this lass's story. What else qualifies her to be offered help aside her looks? Why should people offer her assistance on the basis that she is pretty and neglect those truly in need?

Dude, you need to re-evaluate yourself first and ask yourself what motivated you into writing this epistle in the first place. Is it lust? Are you having dreams of being her savior so you'll get a chance to score?? If sheer greed played a motivational role then I'm sorry, but you're no better than the people that this poor "pretty" girl is trying to avoid in the first place which made her choose this means of survival. Face your front when next you see a pretty girl.
Dude, I think you need help. Get it fast.

You know the funny thing, I didn't want to collect it at first cos I didn't want it to seem like I had ulterior motive. But she said, "you didn't even collect my number" when I was leaving, so I had to. Honestly, I was just drawn to her hustling spirit.

Would you have given her all this attention if she wasn't pretty? Or better yet, if she was batshit ugly?

So the only thing that makes this your story worth reading is that it isn't everyday that one gets to see a poor pretty girl selling stuff, right?

Are ugly girls now doomed to accept whatever fate throws at them? I'm sure she would've better suited her wretched status if she was unattractive since unattractive people have been doomed to be spat on. wink

So should be offered assistance simply because she's pretty? How petty! undecided

Why the fvcking double standard?? angry
No. Do that because she is an independent woman. As I said earlier, I never mentioned her looks in the post, only in the heading.
