almeida3: Good Day Gurus! Please I need your help! I am a first time farmer. My birds started dropping @ 18 weeks and uptill now (22weeks+) they are still below 20%(about 19%). They are well fed, consuming 50kg a day on the average. Earlier on, I noticed a problem with the laying frequency. I observed that they lay once in 48hrs i.e those birds that started laying first. What could be the problem? They are on deep litter and recently when I changed to layer mash the litter is wet most of the time. I need advice pls You didn't mention how many birds you have. |

jfkenny: I saw a fowl that looks like a local fowl but as big as broiler or even bigger, what could be the name. It's a Noiler. I wish I had a camera phone to show you how big my last male Noiler grew to be after 6 months. And it looks like a local chicken, so people are always amazed at the size. By the way, Noilers are a hybrid of local chickens. |

jamp: Sorry bro. I had same issue with the host community where my farm is. I have decided to do more broilers now since deep litter system does not smell like battery cage system.
Honestly speaking battery cage can smell and I pity those staying around there. Please, why does battery cage smell more than deep litter? And please can you explain the two thoroughly, I am a novice going into this soon. Thanks. |

Turks: *Yes sir, CHI have begun selling their male line but not line but it's a momentary thing
*Hatchery to buy from? There are a number of hatcheries i can recommend which are guaranteed to give you good results. This is solely dependent on why their feed as well as their management which you earlier mentioned. As long as he feeding and management is good, they'll do just fine.
*3kg in 6-7weeks? I'm not quite certain if this is achievable if you're going to be feeding your birds with commercial feeds but it's certainly achievable if you'd be making use of concentrates. What's up...You didn't answer my question about the pros and cons of using female noilers for egg production. I plan to get 100 Noilers, sell off the male when they reach maturity and keep the females for egg production. What do you think? |

Na wa o! No other comments? I guess people aren't still into Noilers. |

omenkaLives: I honestly don't want Baba to run again, age is no longer on his side, and so is the downside of longevity as it relates to health.
Osinbajo is learning quite fast and has proven himself a man of great honour and morals. If the party wills it, I wouldn't blink twice before casting my vote for him.
Wouldn't mind seeing someone like Ribadu as well, but I fear his inexperience would get the best of him in such an office. An Osinbajo/Ribadu ticket would sell like hot agege bread I believe.
Another person I could easily support is Ken Nnamani, dude showed can't easily get be intimidated or swayed by money, otherwise Obj might still be the president today.
Tinubu would best concentrate on making Kings rather than trying to be one himself, because that would only diminish his larger than life personality. GBAM!!! |

EMMAACHILE: Had 8 noilers for 5 weeks (17-22 week) and got average of 7 eggs a day. Thats about 87.5% production. That's good. What was the size of the eggs? And what did you feed them from day old to that point? Also, when did they start laying eggs? |

I want to know if female Noilers are good for egg production compared to the normal pullets/layers we know. Has anyone had success with them? How many eggs does a female Noiler lay per week? Thanks.

bestspoke: Make I no lie you... your $50 fb ads will not get you past $20 for a new blog. Infact I doubt you will make up to $10. why? 1. Nigerian traffic: It is the worse you can ever expect as advertisers in the country don't bid past 0.1 . it is between 0.01 to 0.09 even if you get mad traffic. All you'll have is impression and few poor clicks. Which will annoy you at the end. RPM is a major determinant. If you have 10,000views from fb traffic and your RPM seats at 0.5 to $1. Your earnings won't move past $10.Study how to increase RPM ,read about the tricks. Cause RPM is the major determinant factor of your loss...or profit
2. The kind of post you promoting and your targeting: Most posts attract only likes and not clicks.while some attracts shares and click. If the latter is your case. them I'm sorry, all you'll get are likes likes and few poor clicks.
My point is: forget it that you'll make any profit from your first fb ads. It will most likely be for experiments and ada optimisation for your next ads. You'll need to set a targeting that converts and the posts controversial enough to garner shares and clicks..
I will advise that you use $30 to run fb like ads. And $20 to run an experimental ad. you won't make any profit just yet. Don't raise your hopes and get disappointed later.you target should be Google search traffic from U S. Which is why I'll advise against entertainment blogging. Will you run ads for life? And can you keep up?
Well cheers to your blogging career Thanks. I have two blogs actually. Kaysrapzone I started in 2008, but you know rap is not a big Niche. But I noticed what you said about Nigerian traffic converting poorly. In fact, I always pray that none of my Nigerian friends find my rap blog. It is that bad. lol! American traffic is all that pays me, and that's why 99.9% of my blog content/news is on American rappers. Thanks your comment. |

teemy: @kayo80, google will not penalize you if your ad links are 'nofollow' links. 'dofollow' links aid seo (backlinks) and it would a case of biggest pockets for site promotion and it would be weird if crappy sites rank high just because they have money. Okay. Thanks. |

neocortex: It is very unlikely especially in our society that a husband will accuse his wife of physically assaulting him if it didn't happen, considering the shame of being tagged a "weak" man. I believe, he would have accused her of infidelity, disrespect or verbal abuse if he just wanted to make her look bad. I feel you. Now she is saying he was the one that usually beat her and that he even broke their son's kneecap. The story is odd. Could it be that she has mental issues. |

pocohantas: Lolsss. You have said it all sis, I have been on Nairaland long enough to know where to strike them . I avoid those ones that can't have logical arguments, but they can't just avoid me too...
Ah, no be today something naa. For fu<k sake, this is a forum, there are lots of people with diverse views. Someone counters a guy without any insult, and he says she is sentimental and an aggrieved feminist? I am supposed to be licking asses of some e-beings because he gat "m" attached to his sobriquet? I am as objective as it comes, when ladies fu<k up, I say it straight up. On such days, they like me...but when I counter them, I become an aggrieved and frustrated feminist. I function on the principle of fairness and common sense. Ain't no feminist, but if feminist is the new word for women like me, fine!
They are already coming for it. They stick together to bully women in this section but don't want women doing same. They are our greatest problem! Vice versa. |

pocohantas: Naso, aggressive misogynist. Oga address the post and stop ranting. Abi you think this is 10 ways to identify women that will be dirty? Shift one side o
And when we don't agree with them, they call us aggrieved feminist. Nairaland guys will resort to calling a girl olosho, ashawo or feminist, when they have nothing to say . Some of these guys must be suffering from chronic delusion of grandeur... You sound like an angry woman. You can make your points without the insults. |
