LASTMA rate similiar to that of Lagos State VIO. The least offence attract a fine of 20,000 and they have a clause which charges 20,000 for any other offence as well. LATMA and VIO in Lagos are mini gods, LATMA most especially might even lie to extort one if not careful. Had a terrible experience at the bookstores house traffic light at Marina early this year when i was accuse of beating traffic light which i did not. I was 100% sure i did not beat the light cos it was green when i passed, an elderly passerby told them i did not beat traffic but was insulted and told to leave.

Was lucky when they eventually released me telling me to plead instead of claiming right as that will only compound my problem when i get to their office. I am already thinking of getting a cheap car DVR and secret camera from china to record at all time while driving cos of LATMA/Police officials. Who know I might be helpful in flushing out some bad ones who extort Lagosians on daily of their hard earn money.

Well seems you dont drive in lagos. You are not allowed to drop or pick passenger at some designated bus stop except you are BRT , Police ,Army or friends of LASTMA manning the area. i.e Oshodi under bridge. The bustop there not marked BRT only and since there exist no BRT dedicated lane it is natural to believe it is for use by all.

Pastors ,Imams ,Traditionalist are the main problem in this country. Every Nigerian believe in either of them as a solution to their problems, but unfortunately they compound it. Very few of them are genuine.

No. Just got basic troubleshooting skills for my car and with the help of OBD scanner, nairaland auto gurus, google and some other auto sites such as 2carpros,com you can know where the fault is before visiting a mechanic for repair. That way you pay less.
I once assisted a guy to reset the engine oil life which was reading -ve value to 100% just by using google. He was charged 10k before then by some mech.

I get my parts myself and most time I instruct mechanics on what to do.
But the OBD is very essential to prevent guess work when check engine is on.
I know of a good mechanic around oshodi expressway but his charges a bit on d high side.

shikshark: The later is the answer, i was invited for an interview at their office in area 3 like two weeks ago for the post of travel coordinator,i met a lady and one thing i observed is that she keeps saying "humamitarian this, humanitarian that" alas asked me salary expectation and i said 120 then the lady said the will have to be really honest that they can only afford 35k, upon the fact i told her my current salary is 70k

You better don't spread false info here. I know of some people who got job with them this year and the offer was above the 120k you quoted there. Far better than what any bank will offer for entry level.
