Car Talk / Re: Why Do Nigerians Avoid Diesel Cars When Buying A Vehicle? by kayoday(m): 5:45pm On Jun 02, 2015
I drive a 1999 Benz C200 CDI. I used 30 litres of diesel from Lagos to Asaba.
The major problem with diesel cars is bad diesel. You have to get good diesel else you have to change nozzles frequently.
Also difficult getting good hands to work on the engine when faulty.
Most mechanics and workshops avoid diesel engines like plague.

Car Talk / Workshop with TPMS Programming Machine In Lagos by kayoday(m): 9:28pm On May 27, 2015
I need a competent workshop that can help install and program TPMS sensors in a Toyota Sienna. The original wheel on the bus were replaced with alloys and the TPMS sensors were not swapped.
I got replacement used TPMS from other Toyota and need someone/workshop with a TPMS Programming machine.
If there is a DIY method for programming, I won't mind if anybody with such knowledge can share.
Car Talk / Re: Diesel Engine Club, You Welcome by kayoday(m): 6:50am On May 03, 2015
Which Station in Nigeria sells the best diesel for suited for diesel engine?.
I drive a 1999 C200 CDI and the problem I encounter most is bad injector nozzle or the nozzle rail switch, was told it being caused by bad diesel.

Ok guys, let try and create a NL shortlist of possible technocrats and or politicians who would make the cut for GMB/PYO's ministerial list. We can will come back after May 29th and so who actually made it.
My list:

Dr Adewumi Adeshina-Agric
Femi Falana-Justice
Abike Dabiri-Information
B.R Fashola-Foreign Affairs
Ben Akubueze-National Planning Commission
Segun Arganga-Trade & investment
Tam David West- Petroleum
Tonye Cole- Works and Housing
Ngige- well, cant think of any portfolio, but sure he will make the cut.

Seems Femi Adeshina paying some guys to force him on incoming Administration.
What special thing has he done? we still import rice forget all these propaganda online. Mechanized farming still a mirage farming largely subsistence.
We still cant feed ourselves as a nation.

Car Talk / Re: The Horrible Condition Of Enugu-Onitsha Express Road, Worst In Nigeria. (PICS.) by kayoday(m): 1:54pm On Mar 01, 2015
MyPWisINCORRECT:
When me President assumed office, 30,000km of Federal Roads were not paved but as we speak, 25,000km of these roads have been or currently being attended to which the Lagos-Ibadan, Benin-Ore, East West Road, etc are typical examples.

I am sure this road is among the 5,000km pending repairs. I am sure GEJ will treat this with utmost priority.

25000km !!!! are you sure?. Lot of Fed roads are in terrible state of disrepair. Some major ones like Ibadan to Ilorin that they started 1999 still not completed.

Car Talk / Re: Typographical Error In Custom Paper. by kayoday(m): 7:35pm On Feb 25, 2015
@ z3us there seems to be mixup somewhere. Another custom source that checked for me said it was declared spare part in a container same thing u told me. That I have to pay current charges to get proper doc.
I decided to visit Custom Federal Ops at Ikeja to find a way out, surprisingly was told my paper was ok. Went to PTML CPS Tincan where the car was cleared and they even printed some doc that I have that was used in clearing the car from their sys. I also got a signed inspection act which was not in the original with names of the examiner and officers that released the car.
Car Talk / Re: Typographical Error In Custom Paper. by kayoday(m): 10:52pm On Feb 23, 2015
@z3us Thank
What is the way out of this mess, I don't want the car impounded. Which custom office can I visit in Lagos to sort it out? I intend to travel with the car and I do visit Seme border as well.
The custom paper shows it was imported alone and not in a container.

The boys look underage from the pics.
Shame on Nigeria Army for going into battle with untrained and barely armed youth.

Those civilians are not suppose to get soo close to those APC talk less of riding on them into battle.

Politics / Re: Police Chase Pro-Buhari Supporters Out Of PDP Presidential Rally In Kaduna by kayoday(m): 9:52am On Feb 01, 2015
[quote author=zicoraads post=30320170]I pray we survive this and the aftermath of this. We have been divided along religious and ethnic lines; it's so frightening. On my way back from work the other day, I saw truck loads of belongings with luxurious buses leaving town; along with their owners. Most Igbos and Southerners have left the North. Who would blame them? It's crazy in my office too. A place where you would think ordinarily we should rise above religion and vote for who we believe in. The other day, a colleague I respect and admire accused me of supporting Jonathan cos am a Christian. He is a Muslim. I was very disappointed and made sure he knew it even though he subsequently apologised, the damage had already been done. I have reasons why I defend this government and it is not religious. Unfortunately, that is the position we have found ourselves in today. Most people are supporting either GMB or GEJ cos of religion.

I haven't been to the East or the South since the campaigns opened but a poster with Jonathan's picture doesn't last one full day in most Northern states. It is quickly torn to shreds. Inshort, it is even dangerous to openly declare your allegiance to him. Some of these PDP governors are not even campaigning for him. The Governor of Niger state is running for Senate and his lacky; Nasko for Governor. Their billboards don't carry their Presidential candidate's picture. Unlike that of the APC where you would find Buhari's picture on most of their aspirants billboards and posters found the state.

That is why I have consistently said that Buhari's certificate issue is of no consequence. Especially to a die hard Northerner who doesn't even care if Buhari attended Creche. All he knows is that the man is one of us and a Muslim.

I belong to the PDP mind, body and soul. And for any true member of that party (not the jobless trolls on Nairaland) FFK is doing a very bad job at that campaign HQ. Surely he can do more than continously over flogging an issue that is of no Consequence just to justify his pay, while alienating Jonathan more in these parts.

Still, this country is bigger than all of us. A Democrat or a Republican, when it comes down to it will tell you we are Americans first. The APC are not shouting on TV like those thugs from the South (whom I believe Jonathan should call to order) but, people are being intimated and harassed in the North and the APC must call their members too to order. We wouldn't want a repeat of the post election violence in 2011.

We should be careful though. I belong to the PDP. My brother would rather see change in the APC. It doesn't mean we are suddenly enemies. If this country eventually goes up in flames, we would wish we did things differently. But it would be darn too late. [/quote
I am pro Buhari "Not APC" but love your write up.
PDP doing a bad job attacking the personality of Buhari instead of campaigning for Goodluck Jonathan.
An average jingle of PDP on radio mentions Buhari name more than GEJ and they are making him more popular. Most Buhari supporters support him because lack of trust in present administration not because they are APC members.
A lot of buhari supporters in Lagos voting PDP for Lagos gubernitorial and Accord Party in Oyo. If GEJ declares total war on corruption he might get some of Buhari supporters without any financial inducement or campaign.
Just my opinion.

I hope Buhari's school is protected by the fire service and vigilante groups. No one trusts Marilyn Ogar's DSS, IGP Abba or even the present day Army to do the job.
Since it was Cambridge/ West Africa examination I hope a copy or record will be offshore somewhere. For me I dont trust WAEC Nigeria cos. it is an agency of Govt.

Exactly what I expected from the Kano peeps. Let see how Lagos turn outs go be like.
Lagos population might not pull such crowd cos getting to the venue might not be as easy like other state.
Most people that I know who are strong supporter of GMB wont even go near such rally.

Yes GMB cannot change from being upright and seeking accountability as done in his previous regime.
