Politics / Osundecides: We Advance Together When We Match With Continuity For A Greater To by KazeemDiary(m): 8:48am On Sep 19, 2018
On August 9th 2014, osun indigenes and residents expressed unprecedented levels of confidence and returned Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as governor for a second term. While there was obvious political intimidation of voters and opposing politicians by the then federal government, this demonstrated a truism of the statement that actions and results are inevitably proportional wherein the manifestation of one depends on the choice of the other. By attaining unprecedented levels of accomplishments in terms of performances, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has made everyone proud.

As the election comes up days away, it is important that we painstakingly consider the choices before us as stakeholders in the osun project. Ensuring continuity in terms of development is as important as the election itself.

While providing jobs and improving on infrastructure are key elements that must be adequately considered, developing an economic model that will make osun considerably independent of allocations from Abuja is perhaps more important.

For this reason, it is therefore important that voters are sensitized about the need to juxtapose and vote for the right candidate lest we become bedevil with backwardness.
Previous political and administrative experiences are key to turning our fortunes around.

Charlatans, bearers of fake qualifications and other individuals who have nothing to offer apart from a supposed promise to pay salaries are opportunists who do not posses the required mix of creativities and intelligence required to advance of our cause.

Supporting aspirants with pending litigations, as it is the case with senator Ademola Adeleke, must be given second thoughts as this will inflict political instability if they are given the mantle of leadership.

We all must rise above sentiments and come together with a view to taking our dear State of Osun to enviable heights.

Politics / Osun 2018: The Choice Before Us by KazeemDiary(m): 8:41am On Sep 19, 2018
Election to decide which individual, cum political party, will pilot affairs of Osun state for the next four years comes in a matter of days. Since governance commences immediately winners are pronounced, it is important that we painstakingly consider the choices before us so that we do not have cause for regrets during the four year journey. Governance must be perceived as a business and must be undertaken with all sense of seriousness if we are to attain giant heights. We must reiterate the fact that charlatans must be kept farther from seats of power. Individuals or political entities who have no clear agendas only seem to make mockery of our government.

Although section 131 of the 1999 constitution of federal Republic of Nigeria allows aspirants who possess school certificate to vie for elective positions, limiting ourselves to this low will only confine us within the grasp of mediocrities. It is worrisome that a leading political party can present as flagbearer an individual with questionable secondary school certification.
The dancing senator as he popularly is called, senator Ademola Adeleke is not being scolded for finding solace in dancing alone. He has failed to itemise his developmental agenda for osun state in the simplest manners. This reeks of gross incompetence. As a senator, he has failed to bring any meaningful development to his constituents apart from occasional monetary inducements.

The outgoing governor, ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has surpassed all expectations in terms of the giant strides he has accomplished during his 8year administration which is about to end. This unprecedented level of development which osun currently witnesses under Ogbeni can only be sustained if the next governor is a mix of intellect and administrative experience.

As stakeholders in the osun project, now is time to rally together and make decisions for that can positively transform our dear state.

LAUTECH CRISES; THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY.

Contrary to the opinions of a majority of LAUTECH stakeholders and my stance in previous open letters to the two official visitors, which puts them at the center of the blame game, this time, i have deemed it fit to redirect the focus of our cameras to the bloated leadership of the university which is infested with economic and financial fraud, corruption, true dereliction, abuse of power and mismanagement of resources.

If you look at great tertiary institutions, from the Premier University to Great Ife, you will see that most do not fail due inherent instability but because of internal weakness, corruption, embezzlement, mismanagement, and a failure to manifest the values and ideals they espouse. Truly, these are characteristics that exist everywhere to include tertiary institutions. What successful leadership do is keep them to a minimum because no one has ever eliminated any of those stuffs. Today, LAUTECH is dancing at the corridors of shame and ridicule as a result of the highlighted factors.

By the way, I would like to register my displeasure for the show of impunity and force by the Nigerian Police, during the students’ most recent 'protest for resumption'. Well, those guys in black uniforms are foremen and obey orders from their superiors who often times sits in their offices. Sad, instead of ‘answering their over 200 days prayers’, the owners State allowed the Nigerian Police to shoot tear gas at protesting students, who deemed it fit to express their displeasure for the ‘indefinite mid semester break’ and the industrial action by various unions on the campus, leaving some injured and arrested a few among them. Well, this is not coming as a surprise to me, something worse was done to us when we staged a protest demanding for tuition fee reversal among others.

Before I take on the aforementioned factors, let me give honor to whom honor is due, a reputable role model and a vice chancellor per excellence, Professor Sulaiman Gbadegesin. It is on record that the successes of the Sulaiman Kazeem led Students’ Union Government were built on the cordial relationship we had with the university Senate under his leadership. Sadly, it is practically impossible to exempt this ‘foreman’ from the failed leadership of the university, even with the face lift he has given to the university campus, administrative buildings and the lecture theaters. Unfortunately, his leadership failed to pivot the politics to a balance, end economic and financial crimes and keep mismanagement in the university to a minimum.

Firstly, we all must agree that corruption and mismanagement has reached an unacceptable level in our beloved LAUTECH. It has devoured the resources that could have been devoted to the growth and development of the university and impeded the proper carrying out of the university rules and penalize the honest and capable.

Education / Tertiary Institutions In The State Of Osun; The Rechristening And The Issues. by KazeemDiary(m): 6:18pm On Mar 12, 2016
Tertiary Institutions In The State Of Osun; The Rechristening And The Issues.

Prior to taking on issues and matters hovering around the decision of the State Government Of Osun to rechristen the existing tertiary Institutions in the State, i will like to crave your indulgence to list the new nomenclatures of the existing higher citadel of learning in The State Of Osun, and their 'formerly known as' nomenclatures.

It is no longer news to the people of the State Of Osun and its environs that on Wednesday 9, March 2016, precisely at the 4th & 5th convocation ceremony of the Bola Ige University, Osun State formerly known as University Of Osun, the Executive Governor of the State Of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola rechristened the main campus of the Osun State University after the first Governor of the Old Oyo State and former Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bola Ige of lasting and blessed memories, while other campuses of the University as spread across five Local Government Areas of the State also got new nomenclatures as listed below.

The College of Law at Ifetedo was rechristened as Kayode Esho College of Law.

The College of Social Sciences and Management in Okuku was rechristened as Olagunsoye Oyinlola College of Social Sciences.

The College of Agriculture in Ejigbo was rechristened as Isiaka Adeleke College of Agriculture.

The College of Education in Ipetu Ijesa was rechristened as Ezekiah Oluwasanmi College of Education.

The College of Humanities and Culture, Ikire, was rechristened as Eniola Atanda College of Humanities and Culture.

Other tertiary Institutions that was rechristened are The Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, after the former minister of Internal Affairs, Chief Sunday Afolabi and the Osun State College of Technology was rechristened after Chief Bisi Akande, former Governor of Osun State.

In order to avoid an ambiguous pen-down, it is of a great importance to take on the issues as raised by concerned persons or groups of people but with my camera focus on the Students bodies, both in the State and at the National level.

Firstly, it was reported that the Executive Governor of the State never got the approval of the State House Of Assembly before embarking on his journey to change the names of the notable University which was built by his predecessor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

Secondly, some are of the opinion that the State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola neither consulted the Council Chiefs, nor did he got their support before taking the decision which they consider to be tyrannical, unethical and indeed undemocratic.

Thirdly, it was also said that the State Governor failed to consult the Students' Union Executives and leaders of the University before taking his decision, a decision they perceived to be outlandish, self aggrandising, and uncourteous.

Indeed, not only is it interesting to note that Students organisations in the State Of Osun deemed it fit to engage the visitor to their institutions via printed correspondences, demanding answers to their prayers and also with the position that the State Government Of Osun retract its decision to rechristen their higher citadel of learning, else the State Government should expect a showdown and possibly anarchy.

But it is also devastating and disappointing that there is a misplaced priority, an encroachment of jurisdiction, an abuse of privileges and right of assembly and association by these Students who failed to seek discussions on issues that obviously needs the rescue of the Government of the day.

Perhaps, it is evident that the Students organizations lacks the knowledge that the mentioned persons or group of people are neither placed above the State Government nor is the State Governor answerable to them particularly on taking decisions on matters that constitutionally reside in his office. However, it is noteworthy that the State House Of Assembly reserves the constitutional right to demand for a retraction of the decision, if the State Governor had failed to follow due process in the renaming of the tertiary Institutions In The State Of Osun.

It is in my opinion that concerned persons or group of people set their priorities aright, distant themselves from creating unnecessary disturbances, engage in constructive criticism and above all direct the camera focus of the State Government on issues that demands improvements both in their institutions and in the State Ministry of Education, as the change of names does not in anyway affect the academic standard and the internally generated revenues of the institutions nor does it affect the issued certificate and those yet to be issued.

REMARKS BY KAZEEM SULAIMAN
IN FELICITATION WITH MAXWELL ADEGBENRO ON HIS BIRTHDAY.

With great humility I accept the honor to deliver this lecture on the 4th Online lecture in felicitation with Maxwell Adegbenro, on his birthday.

There is a huge importance to celebrate the day with a public lecture, so as to share knowledge and highlight the critical roles of social media in our daily lives and in our political spheres. Hitherto, in previous elections and various protest across the country.

Since the rise of the Internet in the early 1990s, the world's networked population has grown from few millions to over two billion. Over the same period, social media have become a fact of life for civil society worldwide, involving many actors, regular citizens, activists, nongovernmental organizations, telecommunications firms, software providers, governments. This raises an obvious question for world leaders: How does the ubiquity of social media affect their interests, and how should global policy respond to it?

On January 1, 2011, during the official announcement of the increase in pump price of Purified motor spirit popularly known as Petrol by Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, loyalists in the National Assembly who were duly elected to represent the interests of their constituencies kept mute while some were undecided in other not to be seen as anti-government and to also keep their share in the proceeds of the subsidy removal. In less than less than a week after the decision was announced, thousands of Nigerians, angry that their corrupt government was unable to present tangible reasons for the anti-people decision, converged on the Gani Fawehinmi (Freedom Park), a major crossroads in Ojota, lagos. The protest was arranged, in part, by distribution of printed fliers and forwarded text messages reading, "Occupy Nigeria." The crowd quickly swelled, and in the next few days, hundreds of thousands of people arrived, choking traffic in Ojota and its environs.
The public's ability to coordinate such a massive and rapid response, close to one million text messages were sent that week and so alarmed the country’s National Assembly that they reversed course and fate was sealed; by January the pump price was reduced by a token. The event marked the first time that social media had helped force the government to consider a partial reversal of the pump price.

The “Occupy Nigeria” strategy has been adopted many times to include the “Bring Back Our Girls” campaign. These among other protests ultimately succeeded in defaming the Peoples Democratic Party that had a grip on the country for 16years and eventually lost power in 2015, after a well-coordinated social media driven campaign in part by text message, Facebook, and Twitter amongst others.

During the March 28, and April 11, 2015 general elections in Nigeria, politicians and activists used every possible technological coordinating tool to monitor and report discrepancies at various polling units which ultimately brought about the crackdown on the plans of the party in power to rig the polls. Obviously, the population of informed Nigerians on social media has drastically increased as a result of the role it played during the 2015 elections and the vast opportunities it offers.

The use of social media tools like text messaging, e-mail, photo sharing, social networking, and the likes does not have a single preordained outcome. Therefore, attempts to outline their effects on political action are too often reduced to dueling anecdotes.

In conclusion, despite this mixed record, social media have become a coordinating tools for nearly all of the world's political movements but we must agree that most of the world's authoritarian governments are trying to limit access to it by announcing policies that will delve a big blow on propagandists on these platforms. However, this seem unachievable considering the tangible roles these platforms played in bringing them to power and the need to keep these media as a bridge between them and the people. Nonetheless, there are obvious reasons why the government should regulate the abuse of the internet, take pragmatic steps towards the reduction in cyber criminalities, while encouraging the people to key into its positivity.

As our dear friend add a year to his age, It is my delight to on behalf of other friends and members of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu social media team, coordinated by Mr. Sunday Dare, to wish him the best in his present endeavors and in his future pursuits.

Happy birthday and many more years of prosperity and greatness.

Thank you.

Politics / CCT: Again, Appeal Court Adjourns Hearing On Saraki by KazeemDiary(m): 9:54am On Oct 07, 2015

Senator Iroegbu in Abuja

The Court of Appeal has once again adjourned hearing of the appeal filed by the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, seeking to stop his arrest by the police and the plan to prosecute him before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) over alleged false assets declaration.

2302F02.Bukola-Saraki.jpg - 2302F02.Bukola-Saraki.jpgThe case, which would have come up for hearing last week, was stalled and adjourned till Tuesday following the death of the presiding judge of the Abuja Division of the court, Justice Abubakar Abdulkadir Jega, who died in the stampede in Mina, Saudi Arabia.

But the proceedings was once again stalled after the withdrawal of the said application before the Court of Appeal and substituted with a new application seeking for stay of proceedings at the CCT pending hearing and determination of the appeal.

The Court of Appeal and the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja in two separate rulings had earlier refused the ex-parte applications brought by the senate president seeking to stop his arrest by the police and stay proceedings before the CCT over alleged false assets declaration.

Saraki had wanted the Federal High Court to stop the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and tribunal from prosecuting him on the grounds that it is only the Attorney General of the Federation has the power to initiate a proceeding against him.

However, the tribunal had since then succeeded in arraigning Saraki and he pleaded not guilty to the 13-count charge slammed on him.

Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal had adjourned till October 8 for hearing of the application on stay of proceedings.

“On corruption, there will be no confusion as to where I stand. Corruption will have no place and the corrupt will not be appointed into my administration – President Muhammadu Buhari (Chatham House)

Today, Tuesday October 6 2015, all attention will focus on the Nigerian Senate under the leadership of Abubakar Bukola Saraki for the unveiling of the much awaited ministerial list sent by President Muhammadu Buhari for screening and confirmation. Having waited for four months for the president to form his cabinet, many Nigerians who were anxious to know those whom the president deems worthy of serving in his administration were dejected last week when Saraki failed to read the out the names.

Endless Waiting Game
Prior to plenary last Wednesday, the social media was awash with rumours that the president has submitted the list to the Senate president through his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang the previous day (Tuesday). It seems the senators themselves are fed up with the endless waiting game and were anxious to know the names on the list. But Saraki, who never informed his colleagues that he is yet to receive the list proceeded with the day’s business without announcing any correspondences from the president.

The senators in the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could no longer endure the endless wait , and this may have prompted its Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, to seek clarification on why the ministerial list which should be the primary function of the Senate on the day was not given the much needed attention it deserved.

Akpabio, who represents Akwa Ibom North West, raised a point of order, under matter of urgent importance, to find out why the Senate President had not announced the President’s letter containing ministerial nominees. The immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom state noted that the nation’s newspapers in the last couple of weeks, had been awash with stories of ministerial appointments by the President. Also reminding his colleagues of the anxiety amongst Nigerians , he asked the Senate President why he received the list from President Buhari and was hiding it from his colleagues.
As Saraki attempted to answer Akpabio’s question, Deputy Senate Leader, Ibn Bala Na’Allah, APC, Kebbi South, raised another point of order, where he explained that the day was still young, saying since the day’s session ends by 12:30pm, there was still the hope that the President would transmit the list of ministerial nominees to the Upper Chamber before the close of business. He also said since the day ends by 12 midnight, there was still hope that the list could come before the time. But Saraki could not provide answer, as he over-ruled Akpabio, asking that the next item in the day’s agenda be introduced. And so, the waiting game continues.

While addressing newsmen after the day’s plenary, Senate spokesperson, Dino Melaye, disclosed that the Senate was yet to receive the much-anticipated ministerial list from the President. According to him, as soon as the Senate gets the list, it would be made public through the media.
“We are still waiting for the ministerial list from the President. I want to advise that there is no need for agitation because September expires by midnight and the office of the Senate President is open,” Melaye said.

However, speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to the President , Femi Adesina, said the September deadline given by the President was still in order since it was not yet midnight. “Yes, I agree that today is the last day of September and the President promised to make the list available in September. But there is no cause for alarm since the day is not yet over. September will come to an end by 11:59pm,” he said

Finally, the List!

The development further heightened the apprehension amongst Nigerians. Since there is no official pronouncement from both the presidency and the Senate, many began to read meanings into the event that unfolded at the Senate. To the president’s avowed critics, the President has failed to fulfill his promise of naming his ministers before the end of September as promised, while to the president’s loyalists, the list is already with Saraki but was keeping it so as to delay it till October in order to create an impression that the president has failed to fulfill his promise to Nigerians that he will name his ministers not later than September 30.

Saraki later doused the tension generated by the whereabout of the list when he announced at about 5.20 pm that he has received the list from President Buhari. In his twitter handle, the Senate president twitted that the ministerial list was presented to him by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Senate, Senator Ita Enang in the company of the Chief of Staff to the President Abba Kyari. According to the Saraki’s twitter handle, “I can now confirm that I just received the list of Ministerial nominees”.
Waiting For Formal Announcement
Having crossed the first hurdle, Nigerians were eager to know if Saraki will read the list, even though the day’s plenary is over. Saraki, however said he would not open the envelope containing the list until Tuesday October 6 . A statement by the Special Adviser to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, said the list was submitted in a sealed envelope, and that his principla would only open it before the Senate plenary on October 6. He, however, said that the Presidency was free to reveal the identities of those on the list to Nigerians if it desires to do so..

“Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki this evening received the list of Ministerial nominees sent to the Senate for screening by President Muhammadu Buhari. The list was submitted in a sealed envelope by Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legislative Matters (Senate). Dr. Saraki has, following the tradition of the Senate, decided that the envelope will remain sealed till Tuesday October 6, when during the plenary sitting of the Upper legislative chamber, it will be opened and the list read to Senators.”

“The Senate President won’t make the list public until October 6 when the lawmakers resume. The Presidency is at liberty to announce to Nigerians the names on the list it has forwarded to the National Assembly,” he said.
In his response as to whether the Presidency would reveal the names in the event that the Senate was still holding onto it, Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to the president, Femi Adesina, said the presidency will not unveil the identities of the ministerial nominees. He said that the norm was that the president would forward the list to the Senate President, who would in turn read out the names on the floor of the Senate.
“The Presidency will not read out the names. The tradition has always been that the President will forward the names to the Senate President. He is the one that will now read it to the House,” he said.

Addressing the nation, a day after the list was submitted, President Buhari in his Independence broadcast to the nation gave reasons for the long delay in announcing the names of the would-be ministers. He also assured Nigerians that there was no cause for anxiety and that the administration seeks to operate “methodically and properly.”

According to him, “we received the handing over notes from the outgoing government only four days before taking over. Consequently, the Joda Transition Committee submitted its Report on the reorganisation of Federal Government structure after studying the hand over notes. It would have been haphazardous to announce ministers when the government had not finalised the number of ministries to optimally carry the burden of governance.”

“The wait is over, he assured, with the submission of the first set of names for ministerial nominees for confirmation to the Senate, assuring that “subsequent lists will be forwarded in due course. “Impatience is not a virtue. Order is more vital than speed. Careful and deliberate decisions after consultations get far better results. And better results for our country is what the APC government for change is all about,” Buhari counseled.

Speculated Names Everywhere

The refusal of the Presidency and Senate to reveal the identities of those on the list soon gave rise to speculations as newspapers began to publish names of likely nominees based on what was termed ‘information from reliable, credible and authoritative sources’ within the APC and presidency. So far, 21 names are being touted as the authentic nominees. They are Dr. Chris Ngige (Anambra), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Babatunde Fashola (Lagos), Abdurrahman Dambazau (rtd) (Kano), Aisha AlHassan (Taraba), Ogbonaya Onu (Ebonyi), Kemi Adeosun (Ogun) , Abubakar Malami SAN (Kebbi), Senator Sirika Hadi (Katsina) and Barrister Adebayo Shittu (Oyo).

Others are Sulaiman Adamu (Jigawa), Solomon Dalong (Plateau), Ibe Kachikwu (Delta), Osagie Ehanire (Edo), Lai Mohammed (Kwara), Udoma Udo-Udoma (Akwa Ibom), Ahmed Isa Ibeto (Niger), Ibrahim Jibri, Audu Ogbeh (Benue) and Amina Mohammed (Gombe).
APC, Presidency, Saraki disown speculative names

However the Presidency, and Senate President and the party have all distanced themselves from the list, urging Nigerians to hold their breath until today when names would be officially unveiled. When contacted, Saraki’s media aide Yusuf Olaniyonu, swore that neither Saraki nor his office could have released the list, since he is to officially break the seal on the President’s letter before his colleagues, when the upper chamber resumes for plenary on Tuesday as is the tradition of the hallowed chamber.

He told one of correspondents: “If you don’t believe me, you may also join them (the fray of those flying kites) and add more names to your own list.”

Also, Special Adviser to the President on Media, Femi Adesina, distanced the Presidency from the list submitted to the Senate President on Wednesday. He told Daily Independent: “Until the Senate President unveils the list, no one can claim to have seen it,” he said.

For him, “those who shared it could as well tell where they got it from. But as I said, we will know the list on Tuesday when the Senate President will unveil it.”
On the basis for the selection process, he said: “The president himself has spoken about those he wanted as ministers. So I think that suffices.”
From the APC, Nigerians should not accept the list being bandied around in the media in its entirety but be patient for the official announcement by the Senate. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, in an interview with Daily Independent described as mere speculations, the names published in the media. His words: “Unfortunately, the Senate is yet to read the list; so whatever you read anywhere is mere speculation. Not until the Senate president reads out the list on Tuesday, it will be too premature for anybody to start making a comment on whom and who is on the list.

Reacting to the speculated names of possible ministers, National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin said Buhari did not surprise anyone. He said Buhari should have submitted the names of ministerial nominees at Eagle Square on May 29, adding that the four months wait had come to nothing as there were no exciting names on the list.

“There is no excitement or surprise in the list. They are mostly run of the mill people that do not warrant waiting four months to have. Those names could have been submitted at Eagles square on May 29.”

As the Senate resumes today, one thing is certain; Nigerians may be disappointed if the names speculated in the media are actually the same on the list. Having waited this long, some political analysts are of the opinion that the suspense generated by the wait will be worthless if the same names that were being speculated for the past three months in the media are the same that will be read at the floor of the Senate. But some are also of the opinion that those who have bandied the names of the would-be ministers may be in for a shocker. The intrigues, will however laid to rest in a matter of hours.
Politics / Diezani Played God, Even Jonathan Could Not Tame Her – Agbaje by KazeemDiary(m): 10:34am On Oct 06, 2015
http://www.9janotebook..com.ng/2015/10/diezani-played-god-even-jonathan-could.html

Lagos-based constitutional lawyer, Fred Agbaje has urged the incoming ministers to learn from the ongoing trial of former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Allison-MaduekeDiezani is being tried in the United Kingdom (UK) by Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) for alleged bribery and corruption-related charges.

In an interview with Daily Independent, Agbaje said Diezani’s trial was a manifestation that the war against corruption spearheaded by President Muhammadu Buhari was gaining ground and that looters of the nation’s patrimony would not escape justice.

He lamented how Diezani behaved like “a thin god and was so powerful that even her boss, former President Goodluck Jonathan could not tame her.”

“It is not only a welcome development but also a manifestation that the war against corruption is being recognised both locally and internationally. It is a testimony to the fact that there is no hiding place for any criminal in Nigeria again”.

“The world has indeed become a global village. Anybody who commits a crime in Nigeria and takes to his or heels by seeking sanctuary abroad cannot escape justice. Anywhere you are in the world, you will be smoked out to come and face trial.

“The likes of Diezani, who became a thin god in Nigeria when she was in office should know that the end of culture of impunity has come with the war against corruption in Nigeria. They were the laws of the land during Jonathan’s regime.

“Jonathan became so helpless in taming the ministers he appointed. The ministers became so powerful beyond redemption.

“One is happy that one of them is being tried internationally now. It is a good show for the fight against corruption and will make the incoming ministers know that there is fire on the mountain. They themselves will have to run”, he said.

Politics / Tinubu Has Been Absorbed by KazeemDiary(m): 3:56pm On Jun 26, 2015
I challenge those who hate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to share their past or present leadership position and the recorded achievements and the troubles that accompanied them, instead of their unwarranted hatred for this indefatigable national figure.

Better still, Let those who hate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for whatsoever reason bring out someone like him among their family members or their entire locality, so as to proof to me, that they know what it takes to be an achiever with fame and power like him.

Asiwaju represents the turning point for Nigeria democracy, and I can make bold to say that he has been absorbed in history and will forever be remembered for his impacts across borders.

We love him and resound our loyalty to him, for the much clamored change, which is believed to be troubled at the moment will have continued to be a Mirage without his meaningful contributions.

ABDUSALAMI PANEL REJECTS SARAKI AS SENATE PRESIDENT.
http://9janotebook..com/2015/06/abdusalami-panel-rejects-saraki-as.html

Abuja - The Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar-led National Peace Committee has rejected the outcome of the election in the Senate, which produced Senator Bukola Saraki as the Senate President, reports The Nation.

The group described the election, which also produced Ike Ekweremadu as the Deputy Senate President, as unacceptable.

The committee in a statement signed by its convener, Bishop Hassan Mathew Kukah., condemned the apparent desperation for power exhibited by some political actors.

The group noted that what transpired during the inauguration of the 8th Senate neither dignified the upper chamber of the parliament nor represents the yearning and aspiration of Nigerians.

The committee played a pivotal role in ensuring a peaceful 2015 general elections.

The group facilitated a peace pact between former President Goodluck Jonathan and his then challenger President Muhammadu Buhari to douse the tension ahead of the general election.

(*). Why should Senator Bukola Saraki be declared senate president with 57 votes, while 51 other senators were
disenfranchised. That the management of the National Assembly knew that 109 Senators were being
expected on the day of inauguration. Why did they not wait for the others arrival before rushing to conduct

Some people weren’t comfortable with Tinubu’s ever growing influence – Boroffice
http://9janotebook..com/2015/06/some-people-werent-comfortable-with.html

By Henry Umoru

ABUJA- FOLLOWING criticisms that have continued to trail the politics which played out prior to the emergence of President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara, Senator Robert Boroffice said yesterday that National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu never imposed Senator Ahmed Lawan and Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila on the party.

Speaking with Journalists yesterday in Abuja, Senator Boroffice who represents Ondo North Senatorial District explained that the former Lagos State governor had wanted Senator George Akume and Gbajabiamila as the party’s choice for the position of Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively and not Lawan as the concensus candidateof the party for the Senate leadership position.

Senator Boroffice who noted that Tinubu’s position was that both Akume and Gbajabiamila being minority leaders in the Seventh Senate and House of Representatives should automatically assume the leadership of both the red and green chambers as Senate President and Speaker respectively.

He said, “Asiwaju Tinubu had already made up his mind to, in line with the normal, global parliamentary practice, support Akume and Gbajabiamila but the story changed along the line, when there were indications that the party leadership was favourably disposed to Lawan.

“Tinubu did not before then, had any close political interactions with Lawan. It was a senator, who is very close to the presidency that actually took Lawan to Asiwaju in Lagos, in company with another prominent party leader.

“Tinubu categorically told the two gentlemen in the presence of Lawan that his choice was Akume and pledged to consult with other party leaders before he would give his final answer to their request to support Lawan.

“I was in the known of all the process that led to the emergence of Lawan and Gbajabiamila as concensus candidates. Tinubu played the role because of his loyalty to the party. I was among the four people that he sent to beg Akume since he had already promised to support him.

“The campaign of calumny against Asiwaju was a grand conspiracy to tarnish Tinubu’s image because some people were no longer comfortable with his ever growing influence and goodwill within the party, which he earned over the years as a result of his generosity and selfless service”

According to Boroffice, the initial campaign of the anti – Tinubu lawmakers in the family of the APC was that Lawan’s emergence, being too independent minded person, coupled with his alleged closeness to the former Senate President, David Mark, would be a thorn in the flesh of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, adding, “It was when their wicked campaign against Lawan because of Asiwaju’s support for him failed, that they connived with the Peoples Democratic Party to rebel against the party’s concensus candidates of Lawan and Gbajabiamila.”

It would be recalled that there have been general outcry among some federal lawmakers on the roles played by Tinubu, towards the inauguration of the Fifth National Assembly when the election into the office of the Senate President; his deputy; Speaker of the House of Representatives and his deputy, were conducted.

Prior to the election at the National Assembly, there were however a section of APC lawmakers who were loyalists of Senator Bukola Saraki, and Hon. Yakubu Dogara that believed that Lawan and Gbajabiamila were single-handedly picked by Senator Bola Tinubu for alleged personal interests.

Politics / Saraki Saga: Tinubu Is Doggedness Personified - Ikechukwu Orji by KazeemDiary(m): 12:54pm On Jun 16, 2015
Saraki Saga: Tinubu is doggedness Personified- Ikechukwu Orji
http://9janotebook..com/2015/06/saraki-saga-tinubu-is-doggedness.html

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has already gone done in history as a trailblazer. Nothing showcases the steady, reliable, fuss-free Asiwaju brand better than adversity. His life has been marked with authenticity, reliability and trustworthiness. Those who think that the election that took place recently at the National Assembly is the beginning of the end of his political career will be shocked. Asiwaju may have lost the battle but we have to keep in mind that he won the war. People are now scrambling for the spoils of war. History will always remember him for his contribution towards the enrichment of our political culture.. Tinubu is a fixed thing, a person with actual successes and failures. He means many things to many people. You can find people who know him as a savior, a soured bet, an intellectual or six other things in between. But one thing you cannot take away from him is his love and passion for Nigeria.

According to Ganiyu Solomon, Asiwaju is our long-sought after quintessential Nigerian leader whose vision, dreams and aspiration tower above non-progressive sectionalism, myopic tribalism and ethnic jingoism. “His philosophy, orientation and socialist background have no doubt prepared him for what the future has begun to throw up. He has his eyes on the future and this is evident in his choice of people for leadership positions because he sure wants to look back in his old age and be complacent that posterity has a good place in stock for him.” In the words of a political commentator, Tinubu’s intellectual efforts and personal sacrifices of his time and resources for noble ends have become a loadstar for others to follow. “To talk of Tinubu, that seemingly fragile looking easygoing man is to talk of quintessential large heartedness. His indefatigability, and undaunted courage in the face of intimidating fear coupled with his powerful ambidexterity in the mobilization of men and resources make the man a political icon.”
What happened at the National Assembly recently is only a surprise to those who are still struggling to adapt to the shifting terrain of Nigerian politics-the quirks, betrayal, eccentricities and passion of our political culture. Asiwaju is used to political battles and cannot be intimidated at what played out in the National Assembly. But Bukola Saraki has done himself, and the party, great and unnecessary harm. His road back to credibility and respect will be extremely difficult. He has willingly jumped into a bear trap of his own creation. Further events will determine who will be the loser. The Chinese believe that the strongest person in the room says the least. A strong man does not have to broadcast his intentions. Asiwaju stands for restrained moral power, power that is absolutely lethal and purposeful when it is unleashed, but never unleashed wantonly, without precise plan or purpose.

It is morally wrong to encouraged disloyalty in the party. Members should always abide by party decision so as to instill discipline in the party. Yakabu Dogara and Saraki betrayed the party and their actions have been condemned by well-meaning Nigerians. Mr. Sani Zorro, who represents Gumel/Maigatari/Sule Tankarkar/Gagarawa Federal Constituency, of Jigawa State called it an act of desperation. “As for those who went for an unholy marriage with another rival of the APC, well, apparently, they have done it out of desperation,” he said. “It is also clear that any of them put their self-interest first before that of the party. We have decided to remain loyal to the party because we have seen this kind of situation before.” A renowned Professor of law, Itse Sagay, is of the impression that the election that enthroned Saraki as senate president is fraudulent. “If you look at the moral point of view, that purported election was fraudulent. When you purport to hold an election deliberately in the absence of your opponent, knowing that he is absent, and intending to win at any cost unopposed by ensuring that absence, that constitutes fraud. Not only that, I think it’s an act of gross indiscipline, not just against his party, but against the whole country because we are all stakeholders in the electoral process, in who becomes the Senate President and we all felt cheated because there was no proper election. Again it’s also an act of gross impunity. In effect, he was saying ‘I know my opponent is keenly interested in contesting, I know my opponent is not here yet, and therefore, I will rush an election in his absence in order to be certain of victory at any cost.’ It’s absolutely unacceptable in a decent democracy.”

Asiwaju works hard to make the right tactical decisions and support the right policies and people. His support for Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila is a support for progress and unity of the country. Some people have chosen to misunderstand him and impute motives. A leader engaged in trying to bring about change will find himself living in an environment hostile to his intentions. The signature trait that has distinguished him from most politicians is his doggedness. He is a man that provides real leadership under pressure. His unique combination of intelligence, toughness and startling humanity makes him a master of the game. But Asiwaju will not do anything to scuttle our democratic experience because he believes that democracy is the highest civic good. He has been preaching the ideals of freedom and pluralism and this has been resolutely affirmed by his actions.

THE 8TH NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, THE CONSPIRACY.

If truly, a household will remain peaceful until the bastards attain adulthood, then the downpour in the Peoples Democratic Party which led to a forceful coexistence of the wet PDP Pigeons with the then fast growing Chicks in the All Progressives Congress (APC), all in a bid to dominate the corridors of power and control the decision making mercenaries of the nation, ought not to have been received with utter shock because growth is imminent.

Having considered the numerous anti-party moves that was credited to the Senator Bukola Saraki led caucus which consist of aggrieved Senators and embattled defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party in the ranks and files of the All Progressives Congress and also the seconded nomination at the inaugural sitting of the 8th National Assembly which brought in Senator Bukola Saraki (Kwara State) of the All Progressives Congress as the President of the Nigerian 8th Senate, in a house session with Senators of the Peoples Democratic Party as majority, one should be convinced that the estimated decision at the floor of the 8th National Assembly was well staged managed and executed.

In a bid to defy the supremacy of the All Progressives Congress, the Senator Bukola Saraki led caucus in the All Progressives Congress snubbed the timely invitation, disregarded the decisions of the national leadership of their party and violated provisions of the party’s constitution by going into an alliance with embattled Senators of the Peoples Democratic Party in other to make Sen. Bukola Saraki the President of the Nigerian 8th Senate and to also return Sen. Ike Ekweremadu (Enugu, PDP) who has been serving in the National Assembly since May 29, 2003 and doubled as Deputy Senate President of the Nigerian 7th Senate back to office, position PDP Senators as Chairmen of sensitive and most reputable committees in the house and possibly make Senator David Mark (Benue, PDP) the Senate Majority leader, if by chance few APC Senators are successfully convinced to defect to the PDP.

It was reported by a reliable source that the leadership of the All Progressives Congress strived to manage the crises that has to do with arriving at a consensus candidate for the position of the Senate President but the Senator Bukola Saraki led caucus was hell bent on boycotting the process as laid down by the leadership of the party, all in the bid to jettison the efforts of the All Progressives Congress and in fulfillment of their personal ambitions.

For Nigerians who reside with the believe that the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as Senate President and Hon. Yakubu Dogara as Speaker of the House of Representatives, as against Senator Lawan Ahmad (Yobe, APC) and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (Lagos, APC) who were perceived as his preferred candidates, as a blow below the belt for Asiwaju (Sen.) Bola Ahmed Tinubu (National Leader, APC and Former Lagos State Governor), it is very important to make it very bold that the elections at the Nigerian Legislative arms has absolutely nothing to do with the national enigma who has lived his entire life in excellent public service and pursuance of a better life for the oppressed Nigerian masses.

I must say that I seem to be lost in the triangle of people who believe that the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as President of the National Assembly and Hon. Yakubu Dogara as Speaker of the House of Representatives will undermine Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s affluence in the ranks and files of the All Progressives Congress, his national relevance and perhaps his global heroic status based on the widespread falsehood by members of the Peoples Democratic Party who are yet to live above the pains of the defeat from the last general elections.

Conclusively, I am sure that Nigerians watch keenly but it is also imminent to state that the conspiracy by embattled PDP defectors in the APC which produced Sen. Bukola Saraki as President of the 8th National Assembly, as against the supremacy of his political party has all the tendencies of phasing-out our national leadership from the expected deliverables, if the illegality is not reversed by a competent court of law, for past and present public officials will reference an incumbent Senate President who is also standing trial that has to do with abuse of office and financial mishandling of the State’s treasury with the Economic Financial Crimes Commissions (EFCC).

In addition, I must also say that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s progressive roles in building the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) into a regional party in the South West, later across regions and later proposed a merger to the CPC, ANPP and Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocha (Imo State) led faction of the APGA, which was successful and eventually sunk the 16years unproductive leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at various States and at the Federal level, has nothing but been absolutely absorbed in history and will stand the test of time. Perhaps, Senator Bukola Saraki’s crass determination to occupy the prestigious office of the Senate President is to seek immunity from legal prosecutions for his corruption cases and further delve our country into the ocean of corruption.

Politics / An Open Letter To Mr. Jimi Agbaje by KazeemDiary(m): 8:14pm On Apr 10, 2015
We do be glad to set it straight that we can not be fooled by your deceit because we are not ready and will never separate your personalty from the heinous ideologies of the political party you represent.

Don’t be deceived, ridding on dragons to power doesn’t mean you can not be consumed by them in the eventuality of war. It is evident that your success in writing horrible stories from the alleged statement credited to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Riliwan Akiolu has caused a wide division between the original settlers of Lagos who are believed to be the owners and business migrants from the Igbo communities in the nation. This we consider to be a desperate measure taken to achieve your self driven aspiration to govern our beloved State.

You claim not to be one of them, you have also avoided making their logo obvious on your posters, billboards and other campaign materials but you wine and dine with them both in private and public places. Above all, the ill-treated governorship primaries of a failed party like the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) produced you as the party’s gubernatorial candidate for the Lagos Governorship election.

Having highlighted what majority of Lagosians consider to be critical in electing their desired and preferred leader, I will like to put it to you that we are ready to reject a PRODUCT OF ELECTORAL FRAUD, where 806 accredited voters produced 867 casted votes during your party’s ill-treated gubernatorial primaries. Inarguably, your allegiance will be to your co-conspirator and not to us and and a candidate surrounded by rogues like Sen Musiliu Obanikoro, Chief Bode George, Engr. Ogunlewe, Buruji Kashamu amongst others.

Mr. JK, you need to do more to be trusted.

For now, the NAYS have it; the Gavel against its sounding block.

But would Lagosians entrust the affairs of their beloved State to 'A PRODUCT OF ELECTORAL FRAUD', where 806 accredited voters produced 867 casted votes during ur party's ill-treated gubernatorial primaries, knowing fully well that ur allegiance will be to ur co-conspirators and not to them.

AAG: Siasia names 18 for Zambia clash

Coach of the U-23 national team, Samson Siasia, has declared that even though the battle of Luasaka will be a herculean task, his wards are condemned to win so as to book their ticket to the men’s football event of the 11th All-Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.

Siasia said this before releasing the list of 18 players selected for the huge game holding at the National Heroes Stadium, Lusaka on Sunday. The team will travel on Thursday.

The coach insisted that if the Zambians could come to Abuja to get a draw, his wards have no option but to go out there and earn a win. He however frowned at the attitude of Flying Eagles captain Musa Mohammed, who took permission to leave the camp to go and collect his international passport in Lagos and had yet to return to camp.

Meanwhile, South Africa-based Zambia midfielder Mukuka Mulenga says Zambia must beat Nigeria on Sunday and qualify for the All Africa Games.

Mulenga, who missed out on Zambia’s goalless draw against Nigeria in Abuja, told Times of Zambia that the Under-23 team need to win the encounter and qualify as a way of compensating for failures by the other national teams.

The former Power Dynamos player, who joined camp on Tuesday, said he was confident that Zambia would produce a good result in Sunday’s match.

He said the match would be important because Nigeria would also be in Zambia with the aim of winning, especially as the winners automatically clinch a place at the September finals.

The selected 18 players are:

Goalkeepers: Daniel Emmanuel, Akande Abiodun

Defenders: Obanor Erhun, Oduduwa Segun, Amuzie Stanley, Atanda Sodiq, Mustapha Abdullahi, Iroha Chukwuebuka

Midfielders: Azubuike Okechukwu, Godwin Savior, Mohammed Usman, Sokari Kingsley

Forwards: Etebo Oghenekaro, Ajayi Junior, Onyekachi Peter, Awoniyi Taiwo, Ubong Ekpai, Bernard Bulbwa

Politics / Civil War: Danjuma Blames Ojukwu For Not Emulating Jonathan by KazeemDiary(m): 8:24am On Apr 09, 2015
9JA NOTEBOOK: Civil war: Danjuma blames Ojukwu for not emulating... http://9janotebook..com/2015/04/civil-war-danjuma-blames-ojukwu-for-not.html?spref=tw

Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (retd.)

A former Minister of Defence and Chairman of Victim Support Fund, Theophilus Danjuma, has blamed the leader of the defunct Biafra, the late Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, for the civil war, which resulted in the death of nearly a million Nigerians.

Danjuma said this on Wednesday after President Goodluck Jonathan paid him a private visit in his Asokoro, Abuja residence.

He argued that had the late Ojukwu conceded victory to the federal troops after the fall of Enugu during the civil war in the same manner President Jonathan accepted defeat after the March 28 presidential poll to Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) of the All Progressives Congress, the nation would have been saved “a full year of bloodshed.”

Jonathan visited Danjuma, who is the Chairman of the Victims Support Fund, in company with some of his aides.

The two leaders however met behind closed doors and they did not make the purpose of the parley public.

Danjuma however told journalists at the end of the meeting that the President, by conceding defeat in the March 28 presidential election to Buhari, had set a record.

He said Africa and the world should emulate Jonathan.

He observed that if the late Ojukwu had done the same thing after the fall of Enugu, he would have saved the nation of bloodshed.

He said, “The outcome of the election and the manner in which President Jonathan conceded victory to Buhari, is totally un-African, it is very important in the history of Africa.

Politics / Lagos Polls: A Pharmacist Against An Accountant by KazeemDiary(m): 2:15pm On Apr 08, 2015
9JA NOTEBOOK: Lagos Poll: A Pharmacist against a Chattered Accou... http://9janotebook..com/2015/04/lagos-poll-pharmacist-against-chattered.html?spref=tw

In 1999, Asiwaju Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu had an enviable political track record before he was voted in as Governor by Lagosians and other residents. Later in 2003, he was voted to continue which is a buildup of his achievements between 1999 & 2003.

In 2007, Babatunde Raji Fashola was not just a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Chief of Staff to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu but an excellent thinker with enviable experiences in the public sector. This fast tracked his popularity and eventually aided his victory to become Lagos State Governor thru the poll. His mind blowing deliverables between 2007 & 2011earned him a reelection.

The contributions of the duo mentioned in the above paragraph towards building the cosmopolitan city we call Lagos, can neither be undersized nor can it be over emphasized. The former drew the architectural design and laid the strong foundation needed to build on, while the later has successfully built a growing cosmopolitan city on the foundation laid by his predecessor.

Now, should Lagosians choose a 'pharmacist with no experience in public service' over a globally 'certified chattered accountant with 27years of excellent public service to Lagos and a man who was consistently active in the entire metamorphosis of our present beloved Lagos'?

Stick to your conscience, do away with sentiments, and think Lagos first...

LAGOS GUBER: AVOID THE RESET BUTTON, KEEP LAGOS WORKING.

Not only have we deemed it fit to appeal to both Lagosians and non-lagosians to refuse to be misled by selfish politicians who have resorted to using community leaders to mislead the public in a pursuit to enrich their purses and garner political relevance, we have also deemed it fit to highlight the achievements of the All Progressives Congress led government in Lagos in its most compressed form and also to further unveil the enviable credentials of the gubernatorial candidate of our great party, All Progressives Congress (APC).

No doubt, the outgoing Babatunde Raji Fashola led government has successfully built on the strong foundation laid by his predecessor, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu and perhaps has convincingly done beyond his campaign promises and the expectations of Lagosians via the provision of 5 Independent Power Plants with over 1300 electric distribution channels which has helped in reducing emitted carbon-dioxide, increased the provision of power to companies and artisans, increased the distribution of hygienic water from its initial 105m gallons to over 185m gallons with the power supplied by one of the independent power plants which also supply electricity to the government house and the State secretariat and reduced cost of power generation in the State, built a 184 bodies space mortuary, the provision of the Bus Rapid Transport (BRT), 172 modern schools and 11 public health institutions has been built across the State, to mention just a few.

Politics / MR. JIMI KOLAWOLE AGBAJE, ‘THE JK WE KNOW BUT WE CAN'T TRUST by KazeemDiary(m): 1:34pm On Apr 07, 2015
9JA NOTEBOOK: MR. JIMI KOLAWOLE AGBAJE, ‘THE JK WE KNOW BUT WE C... http://9janotebook..com/2015/04/mr-jimi-kolawole-agbaje-jk-we-know-but.html?spref=tw

Mr. Jimi Kolawole Agbaje, ‘the man we know’ is the who dazzled Lagosians with his good oratory skills during the 2007 Lagos gubernatorial debate but was let down at the polls for reasons that had to do with the popularity of the platform on which he contested and the practicability of his campaign promises but what more can we tell of a man whose brother is the MD/CEO of one of Nigeria’s foremost banks but still finds it impossible to grow his 20year old chemist shop into a super pharmacy like Healthplus, MedPlus and others. We are convinced that such a man can not be trust with the leadership of our dear Lagos State because his antecedents in managing his chemist shop affirms that he lacks the capacity to govern a cosmopolitan city like ours. On the earlier said, we must agree that there are more to the leadership of Lagos State than running two Chemist stores within the confines of the Lagos metropolis.

Mr. Jimi Kolawole Agbaje , ‘the JK we know’ is the man whose ancestral descent in Lagos was a royal home in Lagos Island when he contested for governor in year 2007, but claimed to have come from Ikorodu while filling his INEC Nomination form. Such a man can not be trusted because he lacks integrity to lead a State like Lagos.

Mr. Jimi Kolawole Agbaje, ‘the Jk we know’ is the man who is believed to be the most inconsistent politicians in Lagos, having defected from the defunt Acion Congress, to the Democratic Peoples Allince, reported to have aligned with All Progressives Grand Alliance at a point, lobbied the All Progressives Congress and finally settled for the Peoples Democratic Party following the refusal of the APC to guarantee him of the party’s gubernatorial ticket. Such a man who lacks credibility and political ideologies can not be trusted to govern Lagos State, for people like that are referred to as “POLITICAL HARLOTS”

Mr. Jimi Kolawole Agbaje, ‘the JK we know’ is the man who has been unable to defend or refute the tax invasion allegation leveled against him with clear evidences from the Lagos State Government, we wonder how such a man can lead tax payers, a man who has fed fat on tax payers money via driving on our motorable roads, using our health care institutions, security and other infrastructures provided by the State government.

Mr. Jimi Kolawole Agbaje, ‘the JK we know’ is the man who promised to take our dear Lagos back to her former position where Molues (Mercedes Benz 911) was plying our roads before the advent of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), he also promised to reintroduce Motocycles (Okadas) on our major roads as against the ban of Okadas in other PDP States. Such a man can not be trusted, his campaign promises are nothing but deceit.

Mr. Jimi Kolawole Agbaje, ‘the JK we know’ is a man who said the entire of Eti-Osa land belongs to the FG and promised to demolish the Toll Gates on the federal government owned Lekki-Ajah expressway, forgetting that the land belongs to individuals who acquired it with their hard earned income and that the Lekki-Ajah expressway (a trunk ‘A’ road)was in a pitiable situation before the intervention of the Lagos State Government.
