Give us some background info. Who is this Imam and where is he. Is this paranormal or a trick? |
I feel for the people of Yemen in these terrible times. We must however note these points, 1. Hadi remains the legit president, his purpoted resignation was forced 2. Houthis have no right to occupy State buildings, arrest citizens or negotiate agreements on behalf of the state. The Houthis should be prevailed upon to withdraw, they cant continue to bring untold hardship to civilians. I dont see anything much to be gained by them in this current state of affairs. Sadly, the air strikes wont stop now. We all know what will happen if it does. The Houthis will just take over and Iran gains foothold. Remember the Houthis have an aviation agreement with Iran already. Let all Yemeni parties come together to negotiate the future of Yemen, amicably. |
Bro al Baqir, I have been itching to have a one on one discussion with u on the Yemen issue but not yet opportuned. I think I will have to disagree with u on this. I think the Saudis initially exercised a great deal of self restraint in Yemen until it was clear the Houthis wanted to seize power totally for themselves. In other words they were executing a coup. This was contrary to the agreement they signed. Imagine, they kept the entire Hadi's cabinet under house arrest for weeks. Haba! Saudis did not even intervene at that until the Houthis moved on Aden. I know Iran would have done the same in Iraq. Are they not doing so already? The Houthis went too far and they got their fingers burnt. Iran should be advised to stop creating proxy armies everywhere in the name of exporting Islamic revolution. Iran should have discouraged the houthis from seizing power but to dialogue. But I think they became greedy and decided to seize the 'opportunity' thereby misadvising the Houthis. Allah has said in suura Hujurat "the believers are brothers, make peace btw your brothers". The workable solution now as I see it is for the Houthis to withdraw and return siezed state weapons, withdraw from govt buildings and rejoin negotiatn |
Very educative |
Empiree:Lol. You are digging this up too? Good job. Kudos |
denigma2:I quiet understand what you are getting at, I.e an Islamic government. But how do we get there? Practically. |
Empiree:Wa alaykumu salaam bro. I am fine and I hope you are too. Believe me I have always been around. Its just that there are only few threads, nowadays that necessitate commenting in this section of Nairaland. Its been quiet here of recent. But its good like that sha. |
I remain unconvinced about the purpoted impermissibility of democracy using those common verses in Suura Maidah. You cannot just rubbish everything democracy because of those ayaats. Moreso, just like bro albaqir has said, those ayaats were about some ahl kitaab. I challenge the OP to explain, realistically how a leader should emerge for a country like ours. That, in his view would be Islamically correct. Note that to vote or not to is a choice. I myself am not planning to. But to say voting by Muslims is not right or to discourage Muslims from voting is just, in my opinion over the top. |

AlBaqir:aamiin |
maclatunji:Yeah. It poses a serious question of how literally we are to take things and our conclusion on this issue has far reaching implications on a host of other issues in Islaam. Is it the objective we should be more concerned about or the methodology or both? But wasnt there soaps during the Prophet's lifetime? |
usermane:Then, you would just take the case of the drunkard as an exception to the rule. Thats just common sense. What you pointed out, by all standards would not necessarily count as a contradiction. nb: I align with some of your views sometimes. Infact I have some of your posts saved for personal references but I dont share the absolute view that all Hadiiths are bad. Though some Ahadiths have been used and are still been used to cause problems here and there but thats not to say we should discard others. Ahadiths are invaluable source of information for the interpretation of the Quran itself, the compilation of Fiqh rules and Islamic history. |
@sino, what do you have to say about these many narrations showing the Sahabas practiced muta'h well after the holy prophet's demise. This is not to slight u, i'm just eager to hear your own ( or anybody's else for that matter) explanation(s) for those narrations. |
Empiree:Exactly |
Assalaamu alaykum, There is an ongoing heated debate in my town that I think borders on Understanding/Interpretation of the Deen. It all started when one Alfa in my Town, at a public lecture asserted that Kiln soap or any other detergent or Sanitizer can be used to wash any Ablution untensil that has been licked by a Dog. This according to him, can adequately replace the seven times washing including with sand that the Holy Prophet ordered in similar situation. He said what is most important is for the said item to be free of harmful germs. While many Alfas here buy into his arguement, he has been viciously opposed by many others who accuse him of heresy. They say the Prophet's order stands irrespective of modern alternatives. Moreover they asserted, bringing some scientific proofs which i have not yet confirmed that sand is the most superior anti microbial agent. I just want to sample opinions here on this issue. Where do you stand? |
For you bro Albaqir. Jazaakallahu khairaa for your painstaking efforts to clear misconceptions on 'Bidya' of muslim youths. I saw the post some days ago but lemme say I wasnt equipped enough to respond even though i knew he was mixing things up. But you've now given an adequate refutation. Once again Jazaakallahu khairaa. The sad thing is that some of these die hard Salafis would not even care to read your response. They are so fixated on their views and are not ready to research objectively. May I humbly request you pen something down on the 'numerous innovations of the Salafis'? Maybe it will guide them on the proper usage of the term 'Bidya'. |

Hehehe. Kai! Salafis cant stop amazing me. Saying 'Jumuah Mubarak' is a 'Bidya'? Just becos the Prophet and the Sahabas didnt say such? Well, i personally dont agree with such a conclusion. |
Aamiin. Thats my own conclusion too. c'est fini. |
Jazaakallahu bro albaqir. can we therefore assume that the Ruhaniyya bro empiree was talking about was the like of the one Allaah talked about in Suura Mujadila verse 22? |
Following. |
@empiree, i think you should stop repeating this story. Its time to move on , by relating some other stories if you like. I mean you cant keep on explaining forever. Pls move on. |
AlBaqir:Lol |
Jazaakallahu khairaa bro alBaqir for your recommendations. I will try my best even as I pray for Allaah's assistance. @tbaba. I feel really pleased with ur last post and i was one of those who gave you likes. You werent for the kill afterall. Barakallahu. Aamiin |
[quote author=Sissie Not hearing opening door sounds. I have better wishes. For example, I sincerely wish to dream of the holy Prophet (SAW). I also want to be shown paradise. I dont want to be working myself out, struggling here and there for meagre sustainance before I would eat. I also wish for my enemies to be subdued, both Jinns and Mankind. I want Allaah to be responding to my calls to him immediately without delay. I want to be free from my self desires. Lastly i want to be Waliyyullah. I have heard the tested way to achieve this Maqama (stage) is by lots and lots of dhikr. Not in their tens and hundreds like lazy Salafists but in their thousands and millions. The problem was that @empiree was giving out too much too quickly, inexperienced folks got overwhelmed like prophet Musa (as) when he was being taught higher realities by prophet Khidr. |
. |
May Allaah bless you abundantly bro Albaqir for this composition in honour of the Prophet. Its so emotional. Condolence to all Muslims. |
There is no Maulud greetings except for us to increase our Solawaat on the Prophet and his household especially at this time and to reflect on his undying love for his Ummah. Allahummo solli alaa Muhammad wa alaa ahlihi wa salim. Aamiin. Aamiin |
@albaqir, nice video up there. Jazaakallahu for sharing. @empiree, eku ise naa. Welldone for rekindling our yearnings to get closer to Allaah. If not for real life experiences like these we visualise, what would have motivated us to exert ourselves to the maximum in worshipping Allaah? Shukran brother. That Sheikh Adam al Ilory's quote u are fond of (about his kind of Salafism), is a masterpiece in intelligence. I think i will have it as my profile statement now. Its so on point. To all participants, Shukran. Its just that we cant always agree. |
got u there Empiree
