May Allaah forgive him |
Sad. May Allaah accept them as matyrs. |
tbaba1234: Musa Cerantonio has been advocating for extreme groups including boko haram. I had mixed feelings, sad because he is muslim but he has been putting dangerous ideas out there and young muslims follow himAamiin |
Just heard now that Sheikh Musa Cerantonio has been arrested in the Phillipines. He would most likely be extradited to his home country, Australia where he has long been wanted. I dont even know what to say but I'm not too happy with the development. He's been on the run for long and now captured. May Allaah assist him. |
vedaxcool: The man who built the Titanic was asked, How safe would the Titanic be? With an Ironic Tone he said: "NOT EVEN GOD CAN SINK IT" & we all know what happened to the Titanic..Tancredo Neves President of Brazil. During a campaign, he said he got 500,000 votes for his party, Not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick & died a day before being made President..Cazuza Brazilian singer & poet. During a show, while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air & said: "God that's for u". He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner..Allah SWT say in the holy Qur'an "Do not walk proudly on the earth: your feet cannot cleave the earth nor are you as tall as the mountains". Surah Isra (17:37)Put aside your pride, Set down your arrogance, And remember your grave. - Saying of Ali ibn Abu Talib (radi Allahu anhu)Please take part in this & forward it to all Muslims and let everyone take part in the Dua.Ya Allah don't take my soul away until you are happy with me:Ya Allah give me a death of a shaheed. Ya Allah grant me death while I'm in sujuud. Ya Allah let the last words of my life be the Shahadah. Ya Allah If I die in my sleep let My heart beat the Zikr of Allah. Oh Allah, the guider of the lost soul forgive the entire Muslim Ummah! Ya Allah Forgive my Parents, my Family, my Muslim Friends. Ameen Summa Ameen. Send this Dua to all Muslims, without failing to say Ameen. The fire in Jahanam will not touch the person who recites "Allahumma Ajirni Minan Naar" 7x after fajr & maghrib. If u choose to forward this message, it will be a Sadqatul-Jaariya 4 u and me..jazaakallahu khairaa. Very thought-provoking and immensely useful |
What is happening in Gaza is a collective shame on the Ummah. Its sad to note that despite the powerful militaries Allaah has endowed us with e.g those of Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Saudi, Algeria, Syria etc we are yet so powerless as to be able to protect ourselves. I hope we can all see the effect of a disunited rank? Everybody is only desperate to protect its own direct interest. If only Turkey can defend palestine like it does for northern Cyprus. If only Iran can defend Palestine just like it does the Abu Musa islands which it is currently occupying. Isreal is still the persitent tumor in that region because of the disunity in the rank of Muslims. Instead Saudi and Iran are more concerned about who gets the largest share in Lebanon. About who wins in Syria. I can imagine how much kuffaar would be delighted at our self destruct mission. The solution is unity, then unity and then unity. Unconditional unity over laa ilaha illa llaahu muhammadu rasuulullah. Nothing will give us PEACE other than this |
tbaba1234: You do not expect me to read that.No sir. Its not a Shia position. Its a valid scholarly opinion. |
vedaxcool: m.aljazeera.com/se/20147512574517772 kazlaw2000 according to the link above many prominent scholars, like Qawadari has condemned ISIL declaration of a caliphate.Yeah, i just saw it today that Qaradawi declared the declaration null and void. For those interested, the 'caliph' led jumuah prayers at the Mosul grand mosque yesterday. The video is now on youtube. I cant post the link with this phone. sorry |
Excellent. This is the purpose of the thread. pls lets follow this format. Ba'yah, yes or no, then reasons. Bros al Baqir and tbaba, jazaakallaahu khairaa for your time |
Sheikh Musa Cerantonio, the presenter of the popular tv programmed 'ask the Sheikh' on Iqraa tv has just confirmed he has arrived at the Islamic State. He confirmed it on twitter. I think he gave his pledge of allegiance to the Caliph some days ago. The popular Sheikh Faisal too has given his pledge of allegiance. I started this thread, not to be the usual sunni-shia wahala of a thing but to seek everyones honest opinions. I asked some questions like 'would you give bayah (yes or no with reason(s)), do you think it will last, do you think its really worth the media attention, is this Baghdady suitable as a Caliph? Pls lets give our honest and independent opinions. Bro Tbaba, i've not really known your personal position on this, will you endeavour to be direct? The Caliph has called for Hijrah by professionals to the Dawlah. Do you think thats a legitimate call to heed? My own personal position is that i am not ready to accept a Caliph that has no answer to the palestinian issue. Let this Caliph prove his merits in palestine first, not Iraq or Syria. |
pls no e-bashing, brothers. Lets be courteous always. For Allaah sake |
@lagosshia, i have not seen any concrete reason to believe ISIS is a Saudi machination. They are diametrically opposite. Infact some even claim they are allied to the Syrian goverment. They are debunking it. They were making fun of the Saudi government on twitter yesterday. These ISIS guys are a different breed. Thats why you see everybody is concerned i.e the americans, the saudis, the iranians, the jordanians, the lebanese, the russians and the syrians. |
So this mallam, Baghdadi (leader of ISIS) declared the restoration if the Caliphate yesterday and himself the Caliph. Twitter is abuzz with the news with some clans in the levant, groups and individual pledging bayah (allegiance). So what do you think of the declaration. Do you think the Islamic State (as ISIS wants to be known now) will last, are you happy, will you pledge bayah or you see the declaration as laughable? |
what happened to my comment? would anybody care to explain? |
let us just exercise some little patience and wait for Allaah's judgement. let's see how Allaah will deal with Sisi and his cohorts. i am sure Sisi would be shedding tears in private over the path he has taken Egypt. Too sad for him cos i know consequences of his actions would forever haunt him and his cohorts. To the Brotherhood, just go home and see how this illegal goverment ends. There may be another coup. To Dr. Mursi, renounce your claim to the presidency to prevent further loss of live cos these generals have lost all morals. my two cents |
this is just a fiqh issue and nothing else. this kind of fatwa could also come from a 'Sunni'(sorry to use this divisive term) sheikh. Who knows, some of them might even concur. on a side note, i have learnt that its usually fatally wrong to discredit in haste any 'strange' ruling. Body of Islamic knowledge is so vast. I can only have a definite position on this after reviewing his evidences. Meanwhile, i would still be proclaiming that drinking intentionally invalidates fast. |
I can only blame the zealots, Taliban for making this girl a star. They should never have, even considered trying to harm her. See how counter productive their ill thought decision has been. I just pray Allaah guides her to be a true Muslimah |
let us be just muslims and nothing else. talking of dreams, are they that authoritative? many people claim encounters with the holy in dreams. are we to take guidance from dreams? so if a muslim dreams he saw someone claiming to be the prophet Iisa (as) or Jesus urging him to become a christian, he should comply? |
Thanks. Mursi's earlier decision to arrogate sweeping powers to himself was done in the interest of stability. He shortly rescinded that decision. The crux of the matter is that he came thru d ballot box and should have been made to leave through same. Citizens' feelings can only be known thru ballot box and not with numbers on the street. Though i believe mursi made a mistake by not calling for early elections when he had the opportunity to do so. Anyway, the deed has been done. Mursi has already been deposed. Me i just know say Allaah never sides with injustice. wallaahu waliyyu taofeeq. |
at any point in time, a muslim should be objective. what was mursi's fault? Except that he was an islamist. This is injustice we must all condemn. do you know "angry arab"? pls google to get his blog. he is also shia but raised some very important points on this matter. pls read his blog posts of the last two days. dont behave like the stupid syrian regime that tries to poke fun nowadays. anyway, its not over yet in egypt. i hope these so called liberals fail as they are now failing in turkey. aamiin |
most muslims here are too knowledgeable to fall for this ploy. May Allaah save us 4rm misguidance. Accept trinity(literally) and still be a muslim? No, its diametrically opposite. But let me inform u of this in case u do not know; you are part of the noble prophet Muhammad's Ummah(nation) as everyone alive today is. He is ur prophet because u came in his time. It is incumbent u follow his teachings. So d 5 daily prayers he brought are to be observed at their stated times and all other injuctions. Summary, muslims are already on d straight path cos they are the ones abiding by the last testament from God. |
pls there is no point being apologetic about a fact of history. Look mr op, there is nothing wrong about early marriage and islam encourages it. So if no adverse effect is feared, it is perfectly okay. I can also give out my daughter at that age. But it isnt a must i do so. Thanks for the enquiry! |
@op, thanks. i personally dont see the reason for all the hype about our mother, Aishah(RA) age when she married. this has been a tradition in all cultures before now. Or you think marrying from 24 years-upwards has always being the norm? btw, who doesnt crave for a fresh and young body. it depends on how you define paedophillia. |
^^Not interested in giving you a reply. You are entitled to your opinion anyway. |
I am not tbaba. i swear by Allah. You seem to me an hate filled shia extremist. I pray Allaah guide you. Peace be on all Muslims! |
If this story about actually BURNING a Sahaba's tomb is true, then it is condemnable in its entirety. This, I believe should be the stand of every Muslim. May Allaah grant us the understanding of the deen. too much sectarianism on both sides. if only we would do away with those 'tags'. |
i think using the word desecration for what recently happened to the grave of hujr ibn adi. a companion of the prophet is incorrect, much more deceptive. Mind you, i regard myself just as a muslim and not either a sunni or shia. What i believed happened was a group of knowledgeable brothers, seeing as the site has taken on a somewhat over the top religious significance where some make pilgrimage to, decided to remove the remains and rebury it at an unmarked location. How was the grave then descrated in the light of this noble intention? I hereby express my desire to see this happen to every grave that has been taken as a pilgrimage destination. whether it be Rumi, Bulala, Niyass etc |
op, i flow with you. so many muslims nowadays trying to make Islam conform with current tides and not vice versa. i saw so many of them while on campus and in MSSN |
the op is right . let's face the truth, going to 'study' some of these courses is an herculian waste of time and resources. but you may be lucky to get a goverment job. if not, that's the end. go learn something else lucrative |
thanks a lot for responding cooltrycia. |
It's a pity how desperate some so called Muslims are about courting Western/Secularists approval. Fashola should know that he won't get anything not destined for him. So he thinks these anti-Islamic actions of his would give him south-wide approval for a presidential ticket. I dey smile. People full of their base desires and shallow thinking. |
