i
@ George D, Atlantic bird 7 is loud and clear on my 3m pan dish in two different locations here in delta state. Asaba and my hometown. 12399 V 27500 gave me up to 60 to 63 percent but i had to leave it at 57 percent so that my foxmovies tp(11766 H 27500) can be active at 58 percent there by makin my MBC tp drop from 74 percent to 67. Bearing in mind that both nilesat and AB 7 are not exactly in the same position. So as a result leading to signal drop.

A wise man once said " there is no such thing like a bad student but rather bad teachers" , sometimes a general opinion can still be proven as wrong. To those of us who relate with people on a daily level must have noticed the kind of rediculous questions that even the most of educated minds ask, when it comes to satellite tv. So its a state of ignorance that bring about issues like the above mentioned and the way forward to my own opinion is tolerance to other peoples inadequacies. for as far as satellite tv is concerned most poeple will ask questions like a five year old, because that is how far their state of mind can relate on and the way to creat a distinctions between you and that person will be to answer the question as an advance mind. Imagine seeking an answer from google or any of the available search engine, and it bounce back on you with all sort of abuses, imagine that! i guess the internet will be crazy to work with, funny right? All the same its been fun when i read through various nigerian forum and read where people ask questions that most people think they are not surpose to and others answer that same question the way that makes that becomes the topic for the day. Also, the words of wisdom says ' lean not to your own understanding' in other words, the above picture to the poster might simply be a way to amuse the forum and not the other way round; and he even started by comending the house for a job well done before asking anything. Our people say that when you commend a hero for all that he has done, then he will have the strength to do more. Lets face it, all of us come here for three reasons; (1) give infomations (2) get informations (3) see how well you information has helped others or how they respond to it. So imagine how bad you will feel if your sole aim for being in the forum at a particular moment in time is to give out infomation to any that needs it and no one actually requires it. Take a pulse and think about this for a MOMENT before yopu react and maybe you might have a reason to render your selfless service to you fellow blackmen withot prejudice. Finally to those who choose to ask questions that there is every possibility have been treated before, JUST SCROW DOWN TO THE PAGE AND YOU WILL SEE A GOOGLE SEARCH TAB DEDICATED TO EVERY ISSUES THAT HAS BEEN DISCUSSED ON NAIRALAND. TYPE IN YOUR QUERY AND YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY TO DISCOVERING THAT WHICH YOU SEEK. IT SAVES TIME, MONEY AND ABUSES. IT WILL ALSO AMAZED HOW MANY MORE FINDINGS YOU ARE LIKELY TO GET. A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE YET THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT MISTAKES WILL NOT ARISE BECAUSE SOME LIKE HAVING EVERYTHING THE EASY WAY

Thanks for the advice.
But can 2.4m get nile here?
Thats what i need to know before i make my move.
I've waited for so long to do this.
Yes it can but in the long run there is a good chance you might regret why you did not go for 3m. Besides for my own personal experience i can say that my 3m pan is far more better than my 3m fibre. You can call me if you need more details since i am within your zone. 08030525771

@ George-d, please i will like to know in details apart from the fact that your newly installed 4ways stargold fuji lnb can withstand the rain to certain level, is there any other significant change ? Like 10% or 20% signal increase , "H" polarasation being stable through out the day and night and certain tps showing green for the first time. Also, is the new tp 11449 H 27500 showing green at your end ?
Satellite TV Technology / Re: All About Nilesat Installations by Kcbenjamin(m): 8:35am On Jul 05, 2010
@ George -D and all the well informed, please i will like to know if this 3m fibre dish still has what it takes to hook up to nilesat ? If yes how do i renew it ? Is it just by sprayin on does it goes beyond that ?

Satellite TV Technology / Re: All About Nilesat Installations by Kcbenjamin(m): 3:48pm On Jun 22, 2010
@ George, thanks for the tp but i will like to know your opinion on these two position. The first is at the back of the building and the pole pick up from ground level. The second is at the front of the building above a deck flour at lest 40ft above the ground. Which will be best for nilesat using a 3m solid dish. All opinions are highly welcome.

George_D:

what members normally do is to buy a fixed mount and construct a polar neck for it.

Please Oga George do you have an idea of what the cost might be and do you know of any at your end who is good at constructing it perfectly ?

Some days ago I gave a detailed description on how to go about installing Nilesat, this is a first hand information and not what i study from someone else doing, but some minutes after that post has been made, it disappeared off the this thread, and i dont think I can go through that stress of putting that up again for the time being, maybe later I will reconsider doing that.
@ all the esteemed member of this great forum, who either has installed nilesat or witnessed it, would by now drop their experience as a way of makin this thread a library for any who wish to be informed. Those little details you think we already know might be the missing link towards a successful installation. Please i am calling on all great minds to please drop what ever theory or practical there is to it. Images and diagrams will still be an added advantage. I am but a humble student who speaks for those whose voice could not be heard.

Satellite TV Technology / Re: All About Nilesat Installations by Kcbenjamin(m): 4:57pm On Apr 06, 2010
@ George i am only asking of the best point of reference to track nilesat knowing fully well that nss 7 and nilesat are not in the same vertical point.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: All About Nilesat Installations by Kcbenjamin(m): 8:31pm On Apr 05, 2010
@ George, you're not getting me right. All i want to know is if AB 3 and nilesat are in the same vertical position. That is after trackin AB 3 can you reduce your dish by two degree to get nilesat or shift or what else.
