kallowdean: For the GATECRASHERS
Don't even bother to waste your time and little money! Better save it... Ok
UBA will bounce you and probably securities will mess you or beat you up if uu ever gatecrash!!!!
UBA hates impersonation
Its your arrogant boy again. Mannerless and stupidly rigid.
And did I just read honeywealth mention him being a potential boss? For where? He isn't even a BSc graduate, just a little minded talkathief who just got a bit lucky along the line.
He is a complete joke folks. To let the essence of this thread get derailed by that opportunist is in itself humiliating. Let's ignore him and continue our UBA informative race joh.

General tos: Guy with dis kind of error it shows u r nt intelligent n u r clueless which automatically means u cannot join Customs- dis jet age u cld stoop so low n pay such an amount to get a job whn we kp on telling to beware of scammers--- so u kno nairalanders can profer solutions to ur problems b4 u went ahead n pay pls my advice 4 u is to take heart n kp praying to God to touch d so called "scammers heart" mumu
Hey you!! don't come here playing all self-informed and self-righteous.
Obviously u know little about how recruitment is done in the public govt domain.
In security Agencies recruitments like Customs and Immigration, there are 2 back doors. Either u know a godfather who secure u a slot (ie politician or military personnel, key elites) or u pay for slots that people are willing to sell. Even thogh so many people know this, we only pretend not to indicate that we know this.
But judging from the way u attacked the OP without any concrete advise, I doubt if u have the slightest idea of what goes on.
He paid for a slot, it may not be certain now given the tension around concerning job racketing and all but does that make his deal a scam? or does that make him a mumu?. May be u are d mumu here

U guys should be fully empathetic and reasonabble before you start cursing or demeaning people's action. What do u know about recruitment in customs. Do u think it is Shell abi Shevron that u write test and conduct interviews to be selected on merits. Of course Not. Yes it is sad that it is that way, but that's the status quo
Sure scam is everywhere but u cannot be sure this is yet a scam, given the reasons your agent gave u about the job scandal probes which is very valid.
U know none of these facts yet u deemed it fit to just turn on your opportunistic browser and started raining all manners of foolish talks on him..

@ Op ild advise u to go to the thread on Immigration/NDDC and loadge your concerns. Its a popular thread, u will see it in the first page of the job/vacancy section. U will get better help from there.
U are only narrating what several others have clearly done too.

Sure they do. Success mails first before the unsuccessful ones. They are undoubtedly an organised firm. That's the image they intend and are proud to sell to all..

No u cannot and it is stated under the instructions given by SHL.

Presiade - take it easy on yourself bro. I was only representing many interested candidates in following-up on the unusual contents of the feedback on the Online test u wrote u posted. No hard feelings, just being totally sure of things here and sometimes that may provoke harsh querries like the one I offered.
Its important for people to be sure of infos posted here. At least if u don't care, I do.
Previously, some folks had posted infos here in error, I was only making sure that yours wasn't part of that category; given how unusual the contents of your comment were.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by kcpumpin(m): 12:02pm On Apr 02, 2013
presiade: @kcp, I'm quite sure of what I said . It was 30 questions in 30 mins. Probably they are shuffling the questions for different candidates.
Success...
Really how possible?
Did u pertake in their test last year? Or is this your first time?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by kcpumpin(m): 11:59am On Apr 02, 2013
demola24: @ marlins pls wen did you do urs? Last week or dis week? Kinda confused. I dont want to assume that shl increased the number of numeric 4 we dat are yet to do. Respond pls.
Don't get confused buddy. In My Opinion, its either Presiade wrote that in error or perharps SHL has undergone new developments which I strongly doubt..
What I know for sure given last year's experience is that it is usually 25mins given, probably for 18 que. They will never give the same 25mins for 30que.

presiade: I did 30 Questions in numerical test. The questions were normal ratio, graphs, word probs, etc.
Oga I'm surprised at this 30 que thing o I must say but its all good though. God de.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by kcpumpin(m): 10:02am On Apr 02, 2013
Sir Gbogs: Well, I'm pretty sure it was 18 questions mate.
Well if u say so then I believe that's what it is (I'm yet to write the numericals though)

presiade: I did 30 Questions in numerical test. The questions were normal ratio, graphs, word probs, etc.
Bro u seem to be the only one that attests to have written 30 numerical que. Are u very positive about this?. I really don't want to think SHL is giving different questions' format for different candidates. And to read from your post that they were word problems is rather shocking. Its usually all graph to answer questions on. Did they ask you any questions that had nothing to do with a table/ graph/ barchart/ piechart? Did they? And are u sure of your claims that it was 30 numericals?? Respond s'Il vous plais..
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by kcpumpin(m): 7:43am On Apr 02, 2013
Sir Gbogs: Wow. Will it be safe to say they are changing their style? I wrote both on Wednesday or so last week; 18 questions in 25 minutes for the Numerical section. So, if you attempted 30 questions, it means they are changing their game.

For anyone who has not written it, you'd better hurry up and write it before it becomes 50 questions (pun intended). All the best sha.
Are u sure SHL Online test gave u 18 numerical questions or u just want to assume that? I really don't think so sir. Its usually more than 18.

achmed1: Hi Kc Pls do d test and give a info of what the numerical looks like and how helpful the practices test material are.
My oga u de fear to try am? grin
No worries, I should write it this night. I was able to get a Win7 system from a friend.
Well I may do the verbal today, not sure of the maths.
I need to do more prep for that maths o. E no easy but I believe Oluwa de involved last last..

MayorSchwags: the practice page isnt loading on ma computer. dnt knw why. tnkn of using another pc. any1 encounter same? huh
Its good of U to have tried it this early and noticed. I encountered similar problem earlier and I encouraged fellow candidates to try the practice questions too for early verification of Systems' compatibilities.

However,
What responce did it give U?
What kinda system are u using?
Is it mini-sized computer?
And what Operating System is it too?
I believe the issue may be that your system is not compatible for the test. U may need to try another with Win7, normal size.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by kcpumpin(m):
well thank God i realized this soon enough. i kinda imagined if i had decided to take the test on that 7th of April deadline. it would have been too late to make amends from such feedback by then.

Therefore in that spirit, i would love to encourage all test takers for the sake of clarity and not to fall victim, please try testing with whatever devises, laptops you intend to use for the test to verify its Operating System's compatibility and otheer compatibilities like display resolution, monitor display size (for those who intend to use Tabs or mini-laptops). Just test and check for your own good o.

How do you test? Go to the test link sent to you, do all the logging-in and co proceedings then at least take the verbal practice test. its free and its not compulsory you must start the test immediately after it.
If you are able to start and finish the practice test without any problem or response of compatibility issues, then u are good to go. With that u are rest assured that anytime u are ready to write the test, no winchy winchy go fit block u except if na u..

Please these are vere sailient and important issues that need to be taken seriously.
A matter that is much more important than all these emails and requests for materials littering this room untidyly.
Wat would be the essence of all these distractions if u are bounced from writing the test?

I'm just concerned that someone may find him/herself in my encounter few minutes ago and it may be too late to provide a better solution by then.

Well, it is well I say again.
And bye for now,
....And yes, before I forget too, thank u too for thanking me in advance coolcool
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by kcpumpin(m): 2:50am On Mar 29, 2013
Damn, i cant believe i was already in the mood to start my test before i got bounced. The feedback given was that my System's 'Windows 8' O.S is not amongst the compatible Operating Systems allowable for this SHL test. Men that's embarrassing o. For A whole globally recognized Body like SHL being incapable of reviewing and keeping abreast of current trends in technology. Moreover 'Win8' is not so recent like that o, just more recent that the like of Win7, Vista en co.. Chai, what an inconvenience for me. Now i have to start looking for a spare system with a 'Win7' or 'Vista' O.S.. angry angry angry angry
All these stress sef, just to write online test.. mtchww.. undecided undecided.. it is well o.. cool

I don't trust my etisalat modem even wit d easyblaze HSPA
Got it too...And it seems it's going to be a numerical and verbal test that will be timed. Me sef I dnt trust my modem oooo. That was the first challenge that came to my mind. I guess I'll answer the questions in the dead of the nite. Network should be better then. @eihumb I need u now more than ever wink. How do I manage to answer 20 numerical questions in 17mins and 20 verbal in 20 mins. I don't get past about 13 questions in the numerical and 13 questions in the verbal. I usually guess the rest because of limited time.
I fully understand your concerns. I shared similar concerns too in previous online test I took but the glad thing is that they (SHL) fully understand that concern and as such they constructed the online Assessment in such a way to take care of that challenge and assuage the damage that may be caused in the event of an erratic and unstable internet network connection.
Buttom line is, immediately your network is good enough to open the link sent to u and start the test then you are good to go.
In otherwords, Upon commencement of test, u don't need your internet service much again because the questions have already been programmed for you.
So your test becomes undistracted regardless of any unstable internet network while SHL keeps you timed simultaenously.

Do u think bad network will stop you from being stopped when your time lapses? Lol .It won't na. So that's enough evidence that your network has little role to play immediately u start the test.

But that doesn't mean u gamble with common sense o. Be sure there is network before u start but don't dwell so much on it or get distracted by it when u start. It doesn't count much again. U need the network but it shouldn't be a major concern especially when u start the test. Its just that simple.

U just make sure that whatever devise u choose to take the test is technically sound, fully charged so that it doesn't experience any power black-out. Because if it does, then u will have yourself to blame on that one and will not have the opportunity to re-take the test even if na your papa be Group Chairman for pwc.

I'm sure this helps.
Success to all.
Thanks for the info. It's been so helpful. God bless. So Minus the online personality test which u say is the next stage, what does the 2nd online test entail. Cheers.

PS: So this means we can take the tests anytime before the deadline right?
Why don't we concentrate and take this first stage seriously first and scale through before we bother on subsequent stages.

Well, for your second question, yes is the answer. But we haven't been sent any link for the personality test na. They just informed us to get ourselves ready.
SHL Assessment Body will take over from there since they are the ones contracted to conduct all the tests including the Personality test.

So I suppose Within the next 48hours we should hear from them.

Or have U received any link to the test from them already?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by kcpumpin(m): 4:28pm On Mar 22, 2013
From what I'm getting from the tone of the message, would we take the tests @ dragnet or @ pwc?
Using past experience as a yardstick, I can boldly tell U that dragnet has nothing to do with this. At all. Its all about SHL.
First u pertake in an online Personality test, Next U attempt the Online Test, Followed by an offline supervised Test in their office in V.I. Afterwhich successfull candidates get called for Interviews,
Yes and again, after Interviews, U are given this same Personality Questionnaires test we are about to undertake to fill again.
So this Personality Questionnaire stage however little u think it is, is very important.
It didn't surprise me much when a friend of mine was kicked out even after scalling through all the stages including the Interview stage just because her post-interview questionnaire was inconsistent with what she had earlier filled at first before the Online test (I.e this particular stage we are likely to undergo next)
So its important u fill it with the consciousness that a lot of candidates get out from this stage.
Some will tell U that there is no good or bad answer to give in the Personality test. Well they may be right o but personally, I'm not a fan of that opinion o.

I believe in addition to being honest, one needs to carefully shapen one's answers in such a way that it reflects PwC's key/core competences.

With your answers, they will know if U can really fit into their workforce.
We shall all get there I know.
Shallom
