Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Graduate Recruitment Nigeria – 2013 by kcpumpin(m):
achmed1: Come on man; when I first made the offer, I said I will send them to only 4 nairalanders,at the end I sent materials to over 20 nairalanders.
If these nairalanders cant forward to other nairalanders that request its not my probleM.

To let you know, I paid a good sum to get them materials- about 15.8 british pounds. I got them at www.assessmentday.co.uk.

If you need "them" materials you can visit the website, you get a one year subscription and you get to try the tests under timed condition.
I hope I have helped.
Okay the emphasis on $15.8 comes in again. I decided to ignore that before in my previous response but here u go again raising that same irrelevant alarm.
U see your kind gestures ordinarilly should be construed as altruistic but when u keep emphasising on the pricetag ($15.8 ) on it, u defeat the purpose.
I'm forced to believe that U are either naïve or inexperienced in that regards.
First, in my opinion that price tag shouldn't have found its way in your offering at all since u had willingly volunteered to help people selflessly in the first place (a similar gesture which countless people offer if u are an experienced observer). We shouldn't know how much it costs u in the first place whether monetary, emotionally etc.
Secondly there is a constancy of helps coming into this thread a lot, so many people volunteer valuable informations severally to others and others reciprocate when they have any. Others choose to remain mute. Life goes on.
Frankly, I was part of pwC's recruitment process last year and how I wish it was just passing the test that mattered most then by now I would have been advising u as a recruit.
In essence,I would be a terrible ingrate if I fail to recognise and salute your efforts so far but please kindly stop d $15.9 price-tag spewing habit and stick to the issues at hand. All respects still duely accorded though.
I hope this helps as well

achmed1: Please TMANA and vivichoks pls edit your posts and remove my offer. I dont want to relegate this thread to one of those '' this is my email'' threads. Thank you.
I really don't know wat your real motive is bro, but d same way u offered to help peeps with test materials in the other thread, u did the same here and u then start using the words 'derailed'/ 'relegate' when applicants start asking U for help. Now u are telling people to delete their quotes. That's funny u know.
I must commend your extended kindness to offer shl materials to fellow applicants(even though till now I havnt received any such materials on my e-mail) but I beg to disagree with your submissions that u never anticipated this thread to be filled with what it has turned into. Afterall this isn't the first of its kind. U did the same on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/1192833/pwc-graduate-recruitment-2013/1#14485154
So just in case may be it wasn't your real motive for this thread to go this way,its fine to just flow along with applicants who are already seeking your advertised assisstance. Afterall we will all need help one time or the other be it test or after the test. But do not ever call this 'derailing' or 'relegating'. Using such words here is not only demeaning but also insulting to our innate sense of belonging as a family of job seeking candidates in Nairaland.
Continue the help if u want to and if u think u are tired of helping, rest. With all due respect sir..

politicalpastor: naija na wah. recruitment, mmmmmmmmmmmmm, i remember when i was in nigeria, i try applying for N D A. IT WAS A MATTER WHO YOU KNOW. imagine, you have to bribe on way to die for your country.
nigeria, i petty for that country, meanwhile, here in america, joinning force is a pride, they even encourage you. no wonder the nigeria military is moving backward.
Your last statement is very wrong. The reverse is the case instead. The Nigerian Army for instance under recent rankings ranks no 1 in Weast Africa, no 4 in Africa and no 36 in the world.
Bro get your facts right. I agree that recruitment process into these agencies could be a bit shady here in Naija but that does not refute their strong position globally. (I no include Nig police o)..

achmed1: ALL I need is your Email ADDRESS AND A THANK YOU REPLY.

I will be sending it to just four nairalanders (The less the number of people who pass the tests the better for us.
Your kindness, please kindly pass me not with your kindness I humbly ask thee.

ParetoAndy: e.g when u mirror the word "vacancy", hw wuld it luk like?
The example you just gave wasn't helpful o. Its a very ambigious instance.
However, all u need to know about the test and how to go about it is already well stated in several pages of this thread. Endeavour to check them up and do your own neccessary preparations too.
U are blessed.

cncerng d waec/neco cert, is it either or both?[/quote]U are very kind. Thank you much. Regarding your enquiry, it is either you use SSCE/NECO that has 5 creidits including Maths and English or you can also combine both to make up the 5 credits requirements provided all were in one sitting..
honeywealth: lol,dat was funny 'insider help'.it was just God.wish u d very best.and pls update me 4 interview details.pls anyone going 4 NIMC test dis wkend.any gists or news
Well, I believe in patience, so let's be patient enough while preparing adequately for the Interviews..
ParetoAndy: is d test done on a computer system? Do we have water and mirror questions? Help plzzzzzzzz!
Its CBT (Computer Based Test). And UBA's CBT just like some other firms' has been programmed in such a way that U instantly know if you are unsuccussful or not immediately you click the 'submit' button or your time is up..
'Water and mirror que'?? huh U really need to expantiate on that figure of speech Chief.. God bless U all..

Jobs/VacanciesRe: UBA Aptitude Test: What To Expect? by kcpumpin(m): 10:45am On Feb 20, 2013
honeywealth: they dnt ask 4 dos requirement 4rm me wen I went 4 test in ibd branch.though,I hv them on me on dat faithful day.my question is wen ar they likely 2 call us 4 interview after being successful in d test.I wrote d test and pass on feb 12,awaiting response 4rm them and hw many stages of interview do we hv after passing d test.some1 shld answer plssssssss.
Honetwealth- yeah I don't refute your claims on that but like u said your test was conducted in ib, I'm only telling wat happened during my test day yesterday 19/2/13 in lagos.I guess diff strokes for different regional examiners. Some can relax rules (as in I.B) while some remain rigid (as in Lag) .
But more importantly, swizy happens to have her own test day just in a week time at the same lagos Marina centre I had mine. So she'ld be doing herself so much good yielding to the advise of peeps that did theirs in Lag and not I.B.
And let it also be known honeywealth that recently UBA collected CVs en masse from the external public, hence the competition and intolerance is now a bit tougher than how it was when u wrote yours last week courtesy of an insider's help (I'm sure then u may not even have been screened properly since u guys were few then). So I guess its a lagos think though.
As for the interview date, 1 cannot say but I was curious enough to ask 1 of the test supervisors yesterday and he speculated April to be the likely month we'ld be called for Interviews I'm not relying on that info though. I find it more of a guesswork than a reliable info. However, I remain ready and open to any date given. Patience is a virtue.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: UBA Aptitude Test: What To Expect? by kcpumpin(m): 8:12am On Feb 20, 2013
swizy: wat if am not able to get it b4 d date of d test... Considering I hv original cert of evryoda tin, can they cut me som slack till d nxt stage of d interview??
Cutting u some slack will mean compromising a policy that they have a likely zero-tolerance towards and if u are tolerated, several others may wish to be afforded similar tolerance, hence the idea of policy adherence becomes almost defeated.
My candid advise to U however, will be this; Depending on your test date, make swift arrangements for the cert, If you may have to travel to collect them during the test period, do so at the risk of a re-scheduled test which is most likely because it is possible to re-schedule especially if it has been confirmed that you have little issues with the requirements. So to not write the test on your scheduled day does not write it all off. Arrangement will be made for another test day but your delay mustnt be too long o as u know several candidates are also writing.
But if u are not going to travel within your test period, then go to the test centre, not only to try your luck but to make sure u have a contact (I.e UBA Examiner's number) to call immediately its retified.
U may meet this Mr John (if your centre is lagos). Very jovial and helpful. At the right time, intimate him your current challenge, he should help u out. And also I'm sure uld get a balance on how to really go about things from observations and enquiries made in your centre.or u may even get lucky and your st of result tolerated, who knows. Pray to God and take necessary steps
I hope this really helps..

Ecoline- I wish u and d rest success.
Swizy- I'm glad I helped u on that one. Its very important. Ordinarily a Statement of result should be valid for only 1 year. So d original cert is d ideal document.. Goodluck to all..

Jobs/VacanciesRe: UBA Aptitude Test: What To Expect? by kcpumpin(m): 8:09pm On Feb 19, 2013
menzworld: @ kcpumpin, did dey verify ur birth cert, ssce result etc b4 d test?
sure they did and were quite strict about it too. U have to come with all documents required intact
I.e : WAEC/NECO cert with @ least 5 credits including Maths & Eng in one sitting; (ensure that there is no disparity btw the date of birth written in your original birth cert and that written in your WAEC cert); University Degree cert (statement of results emphatically not allowed), Date of Birth cert, NYSC discharge or exemption cert. ALL ORIGINAL COPIES. including a passport photograph.then you are good to go..
Today, 1 funny guy brought a purpoted award with the title 'best serving corper' with the very sound faith that he would be able to convince the examiners that it is an evidence of his service, he was highly dissapointed and sent packing. So its best you save yourself the stress and embarrasement of re-scheduling your test after uve come this far and try not to forget or ommit any of these requirements.
I wish u all the best. Oluwa is surely involved.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: UBA Aptitude Test: What To Expect? by kcpumpin(m): 5:53pm On Feb 19, 2013
Just be patient and carefull enough to go through key pages of this thread, uld surely achieve valid knowledge and idea of what the test is all about and some sample que given by some kind NLanders.
However,in addition to that let me offer the much I remember.
Antonyms/synonyms : finite, legible, ostracize, engender, ultimate, meagre,
Numerical : read through the thread. Its basically simple decimal, fraction, average, 1 piechaert que, 1 circumference que.
Tips : don't let the time hit u by surprise, be the manager of your time by noting down when exactly uld finish (I.e 1 hour from start). This enables you to be more efficient and effective while attending to the questions. Then when u start, always remember that there are several cheap que, so don't waste valuable time on d hard 1s. Be done with the ones u can easily attempt first then uld have more tym to crack your brains on d less easier aspect. The truth is 60% passmark is too generous for a test as cheap as that. But a detailed preparation makes it cheaper and easier to scale through, so entertain no fears. For it has been destined that 'it is well with us all'. Goodluck in advance to all.

Kismo- thanks 4 dat. That info u gave however speculative, adds up quite adequately. The reason being that this present recruitment scandal is very contagious and it is spreading wide as people who got affected are raising alarms on other sectors. So I think it will only be wise if they advertise it even though we know underground runs will still be d major basis for issueing appointment letters.
Its bad how this mal-practice has eaten deep into the system. God de sha

To get an assured info of Customs recruitment is very hard because they all do things secretly. Even sometimes the junior staff don't know wat is happening up. The tyn don tire me gan.
I hope with time we get a clearer picture of things rather than all these speculative truths.
But please anybody with first-hand info on the appointment letters and when it may likely be released should kindly inform all. Thanks.

toria1980: Hi, pls any news about d recruitment for cadet, I have been hoping for it for d pat 2yrs now..your reply wil be appreciated ..thanks
If u are refering to junior cadet, certainly I don't know anything about that entry. My interest is in the Bsc Graduate recruits. And all I know just as beckilicious said is that they (Customs HR) are trying to be very careful as to the way things go because of the scandals that have been penetrating para-military recruitments for a while now.
So your safest bet is to be in touch with watever contact u have on ground now cox whether people like it or not, names and files are exchanging hands for processing as i write this..
