I saw this man speak on AIT's Kaakaki this morning and realised that he is a planner and visioner. His answers to all the questions thrown to him were apt.
His plans for this country is practical and brilliant. I just wish he will be given the chance to lead this country.

No 5 is correct. From pig blood keeping you alive if transfused to the use of pigs' insulin in treating diabetes to heart valve and organ transplant to test surgical technique due to similar organ size. Pigs have very similar body activities with man.

Pigs are smart but not as smart as "Sausage" lol

Have you forgetten the saying "don't judge a book by its cover". I believe you made your conclusion based on the image.
Read about the origin of both breeds so that you will understand better.

A lot of the processed meat that you eat in fast food joints like Chicken, beef burgers, etc is made out of animal meat containing antibiotics.

MrBigiman:
Resistance from aggressive use of antibiotics is the biggest side effect. It doesn't only diminish the immunity of the drug abuser, it depreciates herd immunity, and affects everyone in the long haul.

Nigeria is in an emergency. With quacks, aggressive health workers, professional and non professional dishing out prescription without check, the crises has just begun. Amoxyl doesn't work for most respiratory tract infections anymore, antimalarials are failing, and the country is sleeping to this crises.

Those who have visited foriegn climes know that u don't get any medication for flu's except steam inhalation, and advice to stay hydrated. Here someone has running nose from a viral cause and is gulping Cefuroxime-Clavulanic acid.

Another plausable reason the ditch this clime.

Correct! Thanks to our farmers, herdmen and quacks who do not follow stated withdrawal period.
Eggs included also.
@ MrBigiMan
We are not careful about alot of things. Ignorance is also a major cause.

It is different from the Red sokoto breed (whose hide is highly value around the world for the Morocco leather gotten from it).
We fail to appreciate what we have in this country.

It was imported from S. Africa around 2014 or 15 (can't remember the exact year) by the Versity in dollars. The cost could be that high.
They adapted fast also.

Created this works while performing some 'experiments' during my spare time. I placed the original pictures and the outcome side-by-side for better assessment.

Photographers can add this to their works/portfolio to make them unique (If you know you know).

What do you think?

Graciousned:
From whose account of history did you come to belive that Africans have "always" been greedy. Have you ever considered that Ethiopia was never colonized becos they had no natural resources of value to them at the time? Haiti and the Caribbean were invaded their people killed and taken slaves because of what: gold and sugarcane. Before they fought and drove out their French colonizers, only us in Africa still tell our history as what they've told us. And the deception continues! I remember being told tales of how those days people would leave their farm produce in d farm for days nobody will steal them, people will leave their goods in the market place people who came to buy will drop the money(cowries) for them and take d produce they wanted to buy. There was no stealing if somebody stole they would be stripped naked and dragged round the village. Does this sound like people who would sell their children for nothing? Cos as far as I know the colonizers had nothing that's why they came to Africa, to steal and teach us to change our way of life and become like them(immoral and without regard for human life). When they came they met a civilization, a structured and organized people and they couldn't believe it. Out of greed and jealousy they destroyed what we had that was working for us. The mistake we made was that we welcomed them, our neighbours who killed the first of them that came made them to go and bring guns. Think my people and wake up from the deception. We were and are a great nation! We just need to start re-teaching our children and writing our own history!

Graciousned, I quite agree with you on some of your points and I appreciate that you stated them with maturity and wisdom but I beg to disagree with you on some points.
The Europeans were not just interested in natural resources (though I can't remember now if the Ethiopians had natural resources but could get leather from their cattle), they were also interested in human resources and their ego to show that they controlled lots of territories. Let's not forget that each territories also pay tribute or tax to them.
It's true that they met top notch structure in terms of morals and civility but they were always looking out for greedy set of people who acted as betrayers. I will give some examples of ancient and recent times.
Cleopatra the last Pharaoh of Egypt supported the Romans to battle her brother so that she could become Pharaoh
Akitoye supported the British in battle against Kosovo so that he could be re-instated as Oba of Lagos (this was the beginning of colonisation of the entity called Nigeria).
Blaise Compare betrayed his friend Thomas Sankara (Burkina Faso) to the French colonial masters when he became a threat to them. There are many more examples that I can't remember now or will not write.
Let's not forget that tribes fought tribes to get slaves so they could trade for guns and mirrors.
Let me stop here cos this page go just full.
Sorry I replied late.

Some Nigerians will sell their parents for a dollar.
I know many will blame the Italian while excusing the Nigerians
who traded the lives of their compatriots for peanut.
This is the same scenario that played out during the slave trade,
brothers were selling their brothers for gunpowders and mirrors.

On point Sir. Greed has always been our problem in Africa since the days of our forefathers. Foreigners have known this and have capitalized on this.
Ever wondered why it was difficult to colonize Ethiopia? The Europeans didn't find a puppet and greedy traitor who wanted to become King or Emperor.

What is nigeria now doing with 180+ million people, yet we are very lazy.. Lets just keep on selling oil abeg
180+ million people but poor human resources. Nigeria has lots of natural resources but lacks good value system that would have made this Country great. Some years back, Nigerian comedians made jest of the Ghanian cedi but today...(I reserve my comment).
Look at how Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) transformed Singapore from a 'third world' country to a 'first world'. The general populace is playing the blame game while the ruling class is using us as pawns...smh.
It's high time we overlooked our ethnic and religious differences and do things differently.

Nairaland / General / Re: Men Catch Sea Cow In Kebbi While Fishing, Take It To Their Monarch's Palace by kcreativeme: 2:00pm On Jan 07, 2018
sinkhole:
There should have been a serious research on what brought this marine animal to a freshwater: it could have been something linked to climate change; it could have been something linked to over fishing at the coast or something that could lead to explanation of some of our problems but now this animal would have been consumed before you could say "jack"

Very true! We have many Professors of Zoology and related courses, yet, it's the foreigners that know a lot of things about our eco-system. Could also be a warning sign to a pending danger probably to the freshwater.

What do men say this animal is?

a) Sea cow
b) manatee
c) Sea lion
d) Sea fish

shocked shocked
sinkhole:
Actually, something is very wrong here!
That animal is a sea-cow and it is a marine animal which may be found in West African coast but Kebbi is nowhere very near to the coast, so how come a marine animal is captured in a freshwater?
That animal should have been handed over to the nearest zoology research centre to be studied!

Africans don't know anything about animal conservation. Everything is food to us.

African sea cow or African manatee.

Check out https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_manatee. It's a pity that we just kill animals anyhow in this country, no plans for conservation, research and tourism.

You’re right. Pig business is expensive. Very expensive. Not trying to discourage anyone but that’s the truth. I am into it and i can tell you. All this his analysis is on paper. It’s different from what’s obtainable. I know how much i have put into it. And believe me for more than a year, i still handle most of the expenses from my money. The fact that good things don’t come that easy is what’s keeping me going. He never mentioned cost of the pens, water, Labour, transportation as you stated. And the feeding is not as cheap as he stated.

Sir you are right. Animal feed has generally become expensive. Plus pig can be quite destructive, you need to maintain their pen regularly. It's still a profitable business though.
Keep going Sir, there is always a point of breakthrough.
