Speech of Governor Nasir Elrufai at the workshop:
I was supposed to be here tomorrow for the closing unfortunately, I will be at some political emergency meeting in Abuja. So I won't be able to make it tomorrow says Elrufai.

He however thank all the participants at the click on Kaduna business skills workshop both the residents and those that came from other states. According to him, Kaduna belong to everyone.

He stated that even if he don't understand what they are teaching, he has been assured that it is something very important that will make the participants globally competitive with any ICT expert in the world.

The governor also hope participant find the program very useful and hope they opened doors for participants to be next bill gate or Mark Zuckerberg, and for those leaving Kaduna State tomorrow he wishes them safe journey to their various destinations.

He concluded his speech by thanking all their partners, foundation and financial institution (world bank) for their support.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai, yesterday Tuesday 22nd May, presented brand new Peugeot cars to 9 second-class chiefs in the state. This is the second time the state government is extending this gesture to the royal fathers. Earlier on January 23 2018, Governor El-rufai presented brand new 301 Peugeot Salon cars to 13 third class chiefs.

The presentation demonstrates the government's resolve to strengthen and support the traditional rulers in discharging their duties.

Presenting the vehicles at Government House, Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Barnabas Yusuf Bala noted the contribution of the traditional rulers in ensuring peace in their domain. He described the role of the traditional rulers as key in transforming Kaduna state,
which is the goal of the state government.

Brand new 4008 Peugeot (SUV) cars was given to the royal fathers of following chiefdoms:
* Numana Chiefdom,
* Ninzo Chiefdom,
* Koro Chiefdom,
* Kajuru Chiefdom
* Jere Chiefdom
* Kagarko Chiefdom
* Kauru Chiefdom
* Lere Chiefdom, and
* Gbagyi Chiefdom.

The gesture was a fulfillment to 2015 promise by Governor Nasiru El-Rufai to alleviate the transportation difficulties of the traditional rulers, after a request made by the Emir of Zazzau on behalf of the Kaduna state traditional council.

As an #NPowerNG Volunteer, I have discovered that volunteering is the best way to keep self physically and mentally sound. Been in the labour market for a long period of time may cause a graduate to become frustrated which might lead to having low self esteem. This was the story of many Npower #volunteers before they were engage as assistant teachers, health extension workers and Agriculture extension workers. Thanks to the FG social intervention programme for giving young Nigerian youth opportunity to serve as volunteers.

They can now hold their head up high and their thinking patterns has change for rendering services as an Npower volunteer to their communities.

What is Volunteering?
According to Wikipedia, Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity where an individual or group provides services for no financial or social gain "to benefit another person, group or organization". #Volunteering is also renowned for skill development and is often intended to promote goodness or to improve human quality of life.

Sometimes people get paid for volunteering services. However the experience gain from volunteering service is key.

Below are the five reasons why volunteering helps:
1. Volunteering through social connection helps us interact with others in ways that are valuable and helps us feel appreciated.
2. Volunteering can give you a sense of usefulness, purpose and can also help you interact better with others.
3. Volunteering can help you see life from a different perspective: through the life of others.
4. Volunteering can boost your self esteem and psychological well being.
5. Volunteering can create a change in thought patterns.

This remind me of my youth service days in Borno mardugri camp. Don't get it twisted at that time Boko haram were not functioning then and the town was peaceful.

Few days ago the Director General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Suleman Kazaure, has addressed reports calling for the scrapping of Man O' war drills during orientation camp.

Gen. Kazaure who was represented by Director, Legal Unit of the NYSC, Ahmed Tijani Ibrahim said the exercise will not be scrapped as it is optional to corps members. He made the statement on his official visit to the NYSC Orientation Camp in Okada, Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo state while reacting to death of Kwara corp member during Man O' war drills.

A Twitter User In Trouble Over Defamatory Statement Against Governor Nasir Elrufai in a fire incident that occur in Kaduna yesterday where it was reported that the Kaduna state independent electoral commission was on fire.

The twitter user took to his twitter account to share the below information:

However, the statement did not go well with the Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai and he decided to take action against the poster. Below is what the governor share on his twitter handle regarding the matter:

Dear Mr Kefas: This irresponsible and defamatory statement will require a response. 80 I hope when you receive from court summons, you will be able to prove your defamation? We are tracing your address for service of court processes. Help the processes by providing it early.

It seems the LGEA Primary schools pupils in Kaduna state are not so happy about the sack of their teachers as they troop out this morning at Sabo Tasha Kaduna to protest the sack of their teachers. The were seen matching and chanting bring back our teachers.
