And no, there is nothing southern about yoruba. They like being the North slave..infact the people that put the entire SOUTH in recession and heading to the level north is currently is them. They have zero connection to South and always happily sellout the entire south. Yoruba just happen to be in south. Southern unity is better without them and that's why when most of South leaders get together they seem to always exclude them unless it is one of them that called for the meeting. In my opinion, the only yoruba that's good fpr south unity is fayose...that's it.
bro,go and learn from history you will be shocked at how unreliable the ibos have been over time in the southern structure.

Politics › Re: Zimbabwe More Developed Than Nigeria – Mugabe by Kdon2: 7:57pm On May 04, 2017
Gistpeeps:
President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, has said that his country is the “most highly developed country in Africa” after South Africa, even ahead of Nigeria and Egypt.

https://cdn1.dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/mugabe.jpg

Mugabe stated this at the World Economic Forum on Africa in Durban, South Africa.

“After South Africa, I want to see what country has the level of development that you see in Zimbabwe.”

“We have over 14 universities and our literacy rate is over 90 [%] – is the highest in Africa.

“Yes, we have our problems… but we have resources, perhaps more than the average country in the world, is it gold, diamond, coal… and our agriculture is very viable and this year we will have a bumper harvest,” he said.

Zimbabwe is ranked 24th on the UNDP’s Human Development Index for Africa, and 154th in the world. Nigeria is in 152nd place.

NaijaNewsPapers:
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former heads of state, Ibrahim Babangida and Abubakar Abdusalami, on Tuesday met in Minna, Niger State capital.
The meeting held at lbrahim Babangida’s hill top mansion, lasted for three hours and was believed to have dwelt on the state of health of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The generals were said to have considered all constitutional options available for the country in the face of the inability of President Buhari “to effectively function” as president.
President Muhammadu Buhari has been indisposed in the last couple of weeks and unable to attend two jumat services at the mosque within Aso Rock.

He had also been unable to preside over two Federal Executive Council meetings.
Those in attendance at the meeting were the host, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar and Gen. Olusegun Obsanjo.
According to a source privy to the closed door meeting, the trio agreed to “continue to closely watch the situation” and “will speak out” at the appropriate time.
Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo had secretly entered Minna on Monday evening and was received by Governor Abubakar Bello who drove him to the uphill residence of Gen. Babangida.
A source said Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar was already waiting in IBB’s residence by the time Obasanjo arrived.
All the domestic and security staff of IBB were asked to excuse the generals as they went into the almost three-hour meeting.
Niger State Governor Abubakar Bello was said to have also waited in one of the sitting rooms for the period the meeting lasted.
Bello was reported to have also driven Obasanjo to the airport after the clandestine meeting.
we dont even know who is ruling nigeria anymore. Maybe na abba kyari or hamman daura or osibande or whoever. Abi naija no even get ruler anymore just drifting.

dainformant:
Here's an update on the little girl, Khadijah Bashir, who was raped when she was 6 months old by her mother's friend. The suspected culprit reportedly hired 10 lawyers to defend him in court. The traumatized baby who is now 8 months old -is being treated at a hospital in Kano after undergoing surgery as her parents are unable to hire any legal representative due to lack of funds.

Read an update by Aishat Alubankudi who visited the baby in the hospital.

UPDATE: Justice for Khadija Bashir

Today, I visited Khadija Bashir at Murtala Muhammad Teaching hospital. She is just 8month old and was raped at 6month by husband of her mother's friend. I couldn't hold my tears when Khadija's father show me pictures of how she was brutalised by the rapist. She was bleeding and sperm was coming from her private part even after the surgery.

The culprits are currently in prison custody and they hired lawyers to cover their shame. They are also intimidating the father of the baby.

Her poor father is the one putting her medical bills and he need our assistance. Some NGOs in Abuja and Lagos have indicated their interest to help the parent. The help coming from Kano is discouraging.

We are calling on Kano state government, Civil society organisations and wealthy individuals to assist in anyway possible.

Politics › Re: Opinion Five Reason I See IPOB As Having A Political Undertone by Kdon2: 8:30am On May 02, 2017
Kenmatt:
Greetings to you all!!!

I just want to bring this five "burning"points that make me think that the Biafra agitation by IPOB has political Undertone.

I know that most of my brothers and sisters from the eastern part of this country will not like this, though it is just my opinion.

Firstly, IPOB became pronounced immediately Goodluck
Jonathan lost election to the opposition in 2015.

Secondary, the leader of IPOB was always heard talking against any politician from South-South or South -East who is with the opposition party that won the last election. The clear indication is a derogatory statements he was using againt some of them in which Governor of Imo state is among.

Again, the cohession between IPOB leader, Fayose the governor of Ekiti state and Femi Fani Kayode when we all know that these men are PDP adherents and oppositors to the government at the center is clystal clear that it has a Political undertone.

Fortly, majority of IPOB members are PDP sympathisers.

Conclusively, the activities of these group are always viral at those states that think that they believe in no other political party than PDP.
you are a nycompoo. One ipob agitation started when the new government started by marginalizing south east because they gave five percent vote(quoting buhari now)
two, those who believe in their grievance are the ones that identified with them. It is immaterial whether they are pdp or apga. After all apc joined forces with bbog in the run up to 2015 polls which has since turned sour.
Also all of the governors in the east are spineless cowards who have sold their birth right like essau.
Lastly, ipob has a right to pick any party that is sympathetic and could advance its course.
A government that means well can not afford to be sentimental or sectional it must be fair to all.its a government over all nigerians not a section.if you choose to be fair to a section then rule that section and leave others alone, otherwise you are asking for agitation from marginalised section, thats the logic and thats what ipob demands. Simple

Ex-housemate in the recently concluded Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Bisola, has slammed Nigerians criticizing the show calling most of them hypocrites.

The ex-housemate and actress who emerged the 1st runner up in the competition noted that the content of the show as kicked against by some Nigerians is purely based on entertainment.

Speaking on SoundCity FM, the mother of one who was allegedly dumped at the altar said: “A lot of people are hypocrites. Even if Big Brother Naija was not on the air, It wouldn’t change the fact that people still do terrible things in the world.”

She added: “It would not change anything.

“Big Brother taught me a lot. It made me a stronger person. “People who didn’t even watch the show had their own perception of it. You cannot please everybody because even religious shows get criticised.”

Big Brother Naija 2017 1st runner up and Nigerian-British actress, Bisola Aiyeola has tagged many of those criticizing the show as 'hypocrites'. Ajasco222:
Nigeria's vice president, Yemi Osinbajo has acknowledged Nigerian Jollof rice as the best anywhere in the world. He made the statement while addressing "the platform" at Christian covenant centre in Lagos.

He also joked about Senator Dino Melaye's recent hit song "Aje Kun Iya Ni o je" that broke the internet few weeks ago.

See excerpts from what he said below;

"Nobody is as funny as Nigerian comedians, whether professional or amateurs. We even have a member of the national assembly who recently launched a CD, Aje kun Iya Ni O je"

"The other day, someone showed me a text, a young man had sent him a text to invite him to a book launch titled 7 steps to becoming a professional whilstle blower"

"And of course we know that Nigerian jollof rice is the best anywhere in the world. Better than the Ghanaian and the Senegalese"
