Foreign Affairs / Re: Jeff Bezos Slam Professor Uju Anya For Wishing Elizabeth An ‘Excruciating’ Death by kegendify: 11:11am On Sep 09, 2022
Kagd10:

Plan to install Awolowo? Lol. It was the prison that saved Awolowo or else he would have been murdered by the Igbos!

In fact Awolowo wrote letters after the coup to release him but Ironsi, Ojukwu etc didn't and refused until Gowon assumed post and did.

Igbos wanted to colonise the country like the British. Point is the Igbos are no different from the Fulani and British. They've got this innate criminal tendency. At least the British repented and left before she died.

I say again, Go and meet with the elders so they can explain to you.
Igbos never planned to colonize the country.
If it were true, why did the coup take out the most corrupted Nigerian then even though he wasn't a Northerner?
The igbos were okay with their resources and believed they could sustain themselves with that. Ojukwu decided to declare after the killings of his people in the North or you never knew there was mass killings back then?

I say again, Ironsi was a believer of one Nigeria.
Man was living a sham life during the coup before he decided to take control of things since he was the GOC then.
Coming back from party in lagos, he noticed several changes within the millitary and he quickly countered the plans to restore things. it wasn't his fault that some of his majors planned the coup and mind you, he was even targeted by the coup planners because he didn't want no part in it. But now your history books still has him as the first person to carry out a coup.
your leaders have been lying to you from the start.
they succeeded in creating the narrative that the Igbos are greedy which was never the case.
the igbos are a tribe that distates dirt or anything that has to do with partiality, which was the reason there were plans for the coup in the first place.

Imagine, she's living in abroad yet insulting them.. Later, she and her people would start to cry and play the victim.

Meanwhile, Seun warn your moderator.. one of them has started again..

Why delete my post which is nothing but historical events and the truth?

Imagine people who hate the truth while blaming others for what they caused.. I always say it as it is.

This was my previous post below..

Igbos. Lol..

Toxic from birth.

Funnily, they were the ones who wanted to colonise the country after the British left.. the irony..

Azikiwe had wanted to try that in the SW despite the fact that the British left every region in autonomy of themselves but no, Igbo weren't satisfied but wanted to colonise the whole country. Azikiwe was left to lick his wound after he was stopped. Still he didn't stop and eventually spearheaded the Igbo coup which killed every leaders of every region which were none of their business while they protected their own Igbo leaders. He, Azikiwe travelled abroad at the same moment when the Igbo coup was happening. Ironsi came in and continued with the madness of what they had planned until his atrocities was withheld. In the end, Ojukwu declared Biafra but still wouldn't stop his greedy attempt in wanting to colonise the country. Eventually, their atrocities were fought against yet they're the ones playing the victim today.

They're doing the same today. Tinubu has never ruled anyone or their papa but they keep insulting him daily while they protect their leaders who achieved absolute nothing and are not better than Tinubu who's 10 times better than all their leaders combined together. Tinubu's legacies litter everywhere in Lagos such as Lekki seaport, RRS, Lekki trade zone, LAMATA, millennium schools, LASTMA, gigantic LASU teaching hospital, Eko Atlantic city, BRT and several infrastructure and policies put in place by Tinubu. As a matter of fact, Tinubu is the reason behind Lagos' bouyant economy today.. Yet most Igbos insult him daily despite the fact he has never ruled them or their papa

And which source told you they wanted to colonize?
you need to visit the eldest person in your household that is not tribalistic as you to explain what really happened.

The British left things in the hands of corrupted northern leaders whilst the military was in the hands of the southerners.
the main reason for the coup which failed after Ironsi who initially wasn't aware of the said coup was for cleansing of the democratic leaders we had then.
maybe their methods was wrong but there were plans to install Obafemi Awolowo as the president after he was imprisoned by the Northerners in power after Akintola betrayed him.
You talked of Ironsi atrocities. kindly mention them please.....
Ironsi's bane was trusting the northerners too much as he appointed them and even his bodyguards team were filled with northerners just because he wanted to make peace with them after Major Kaduna failed coup in which the said Ironsi was the person who countered the coup plans because he believed in a one Nigeria.
Just so you know Ironsi had passed the order to release Awolowo from prison but for some unknown reasons the process was delayed and he eventually got out during Gowon's regime.
The British spoilt Nigeria while in the country and even decided to worsen the situation by leaving everything in the hands of the northerners.

And for Tinubu, some of these things you mentioned he did are lies.
Stop selling his candidacy with lies. He didn't build Lagos like you are trying to say.
Lagos has always been a mega city. Read books from the 70s and 80s and you'd realise the only thing Tinubu did was to increase the IGR of Lagos which was done by expanding the tax net at the expense of the masses.

Go and get educated before you come spilling rubbish abeg.

Now everything feels like as if the world is turning it's back on you.
No matter what u do it still feels like you haven't done enough to enjoy the goodies of life, you are always having that feeling that you are not up to the minimum standard but it's all in your head, because whatever you plan with a strong desire will speak for you and whatever you speak with faith shall come into existence. If you desire to break the chain and you feel you lost the will to do so then you are a goner.
You alone know what you want and desire, nobody on earth can decide how your life plays out for you. Even when you feel you have lost it all think about the ones looking up to you, think about your parents and if they are dead try thinking about how they would feel knowing you gave up easily.
Sometimes you see your mates on social media looking dashing and displaying expensive things all over the internet but do you know the sacrifices they made just so they could get up to that level and when I say sacrifices I don't mean the ritual aspect but the time they spent just to make it.
The will to make it is in everybody finding yours can be hard but not impossible, so stand up Friend, make those ill thoughts vanish start everything with a positive feeling nobody can bar you from being successful because you own yourself...

Politics / Nigeria Decides by kegendify: 11:36pm On Feb 15, 2019
Nigeria decides

Tomorrow whoever you decide to vote for, just make sure you make a good choice .
Buhari is not good is what they are all saying.
Atiku is just a business man who wants to loot Nigeria talk is being mooted.
Sowore being too young to rule is still a debate to date. What matters is making the right choice your parents or friends voting for someone doesn't necessarily mean you follow them too cus doing that will be a mistake on your part which u should be ready to suffer the consequences cus your wants and theirs can't be same.

Some said the Buhari adminstration is a failure, yes I agree it might be a failure. but I bet there are still some people who has being successful during the last four years of his reign but of course we can't be content, unless if everybody is a success in the country which brings up Atiku here, he has promised to make things better that might be true, but it doesn't mean everybody will live a good life under his tenure cus I bet definitely, there will still be so many Nigerians who will go hungry. Sowore the youth's choice he is definitely young and not too young to rule Nigeria, but it doesn't mean he would fail if he's given the chance but it's a risk many are ready take by voting him as the next president cus it's not an hidden fact that we have seen other countries who has far more younger presidents. but I still hold the believe that Nigeria wont be easy but not impossible for him to rule likewise the other candidates.
But the thing is this,
Nigeria can't be 100% better in the next four years Regardless of who wins tomorrow and I'm not saying you should vote for buhari to continue but some risks are worth taking while some ain't worth it at all but whatever we make do of the chance we are given tomorrow let's not collect bribe from any political party it's our Nigeria too not theirs alone we surely ain't born to stand and watch everything go awry in this nation.

A certain male sat in the hospital bench reserved for visitors. his eyes filled with trepidation, he stood up when he heard a vociferous cry coming from the labour room, he began flouncing through the hallway silently praying for his wife to have a safe delivery, suddenly a nurse bursted out from the room his wife was. her face, beaming with exhilaration. tranquility came upon him, and he believed all went well inside, he laughed out when the nurse finally broke the news confirming that his wife had delivered a bouncing baby boy.
Perplexed by the way he laughed the nurse asked him why he was laughing that much he replied saying all through my life, i suffered and managed to hustle my way from the gutters. Now, I am wealthy and illustrious, but my bane was being unable to father a child for years since I married my wife, and now I have a son who I now pledge to fulfill all his heart desires in fact the world shall fall at his feet. After listening to what he said. The nurse felt his pain and joy at the same time, which made her prayed for him telling him the child will be a blessing to him and wife, because the world will be his oyster.

Episode 3

"I love your daughter but I can't marry her" Mrs Osai mouth was wide agape, surely Richard can't possibly mean to come to their house just to embarrass them by saying he can't marry their daughter, there must be something more to it.
Rosie remained where she sat, the words sounded confusing, even to her she never could have fathom what was currently happening, Mr Osai remained calm and asked Richard what he meant by what he just said and he should explain the reason why he can't marry their daughter. Richard stood up facing the window of the sitting room and said, I was married for 5 years, my wife and i got separated a year ago and I met your daughter barely a week after we divorced, I must say this, your daughter is truly a remarkable and wonderful woman but something came up last month my Ex wife and I decided to settle all our differences and start a new life but I was disturbed because I didn't want to leave your daughter but for the sake of my kids I must. Mr Osai nodded a bit and said I understand everything you said and I know what it feels like to be a father but I won't hold a grudge on you for that but I just believe you should have informed my daughter instead of coming here in the first place, I hope my daughter will be strong enough to let go and be able to forgive you for everything, Mrs Osai went to where her daughter who was now crying and consoled her telling her a better man who deserved her will surely come along someday, then she shot Richard a death stare, immediately asking him to leave their house and He obliged, said his goodbyes to everyone and left.

In a big store in the city Rosie could be seen shopping, it's been three months since the incident happened, she was simply not ready to start a new relationship the last one left a hole in her which she feels might never be filled again, suddenly she bumped into someone all what she had packed fell, and the person started apologizing to her telling her he didn't look properly while passing. he raised up his head after packing everything into her basket and stretched his hand to her, my name is Ayo I am so sorry for everything, she accepted his apology and they shared an handshake.
Driving home all that was in her head was the new guy she just met, Ayo, he surely seems to be a good person considering the way he handled the situation even though she was the one who had bumped into him, but, she just waved the thoughts away and continued driving home.
Arriving home she came out of the car brought out what she had bought and locked the car, she set the stuffs down in their respective places and decided to relax a bit and watch TV when she heard a noise outside, coming outside she saw two guys trying gain access into her car sensing they were trying to steal her car she started running shouting, one of them grabbed her and covered her mouth, pointing a gun to her head suddenly they heard a siren blowing, a police car was coming their way sensing the danger they are in, they left her and ran away,
The car stopped and Rosie opened her mouth wide when she saw who had just alighted from the car, Ayo? she called the person nodded in affirmative which made her faint at the spot.....

Episode 2

Nicholas Coker sat down, legs crossed in his parlour reading the daily times newspaper ignoring the argument between his wife Elizabeth Coker and their daughter Rosie Coker, the argument had started becoming too noisy for him to concentrate on what he was reading so he stood up went inside the room, sat down then started thinking about the topic of the argument, his daughter was very much like him in terms of being stubborn he knew she wouldn't budge against her mum, but he also believed his wife might be right, their daughter was already 33 and still, no signs of any man coming to ask for her hand in marriage but his daughter, he knew, might be the reason no man has ever came, she was pompous, rich and she worked in a firm who deals with cargo planes, so he knew she was contented and comfortable without depending on any man but age was on her side no more, considering she was the only child of the Coker's, he knew his wife was right to complain as a concerned mother..
Thinking all this through he decided to intervene on the matter, he called his wife and daughter, told them to calm down, then he asked Rosie if she was currently seeing a man in which she replied with a yes, her mother simply rolled her eyes, he advised her to bring the man home so they could get acquainted and see maybe he was really serious about her, she accepted but told them it might take time before she could arrange a meeting between them, her mother suddenly blurted out saying she should waste no time In arranging the meeting then she said in her local dialect Mo fẹ gbe ọmọ rẹ laipe (I want to carry your baby soon) Everyone suddenly laughed on hearing that ,Rosie quickly used the opportunity and suddenly pecked her parents then held her mum assuring her soon she will see her husband and she left for her house...
The following few weeks was very hectic for Rosie so she couldn't find a time for the meeting but promised her mum the next Saturday when she had called pestering her on the issue.
A certain young man named Richard came out of a car looking all handsome and dapper he went inside an apartment, kissed the woman who had come out to greet him, the woman being Rosie, she had finally decided to tell him about the meeting with her parent by weekend, Richard's facial expression suddenly changed from being bright and cheerful into a gloomy one, he raised up his head knowing fully, his secret which he had been keeping will be out anytime soon.............

Literature / Night(the Kids From Barley Fields) by kegendify: 9:16pm On Nov 20, 2018
Oh night thou art here again.
With the moon as our only guide.
Creatures everywhere lying in wait for preys.
Scaling through is all we pray.

Stars with their twinkling light barely enough for sight.
Vampires thoughts circulating our minds.
Fear of being their drink sinking deep.
Scaling through is all we pray.

Our shadows barely showing.
We started running for the terror was simply much.
howls of hungry wolfs could be heard loudly.
We simply prayed for more strength.
Scaling through is all we pray.

Our destination seemed far.
But we were determined to survive whatever the night had for us.
We all secretly swore not to go out at night no more.
Surely three 15 year old kids going for a party out late was a bad idea to begin with.
we started seeing lights at some distance.
We shared a smile knowing our travails were finally over.
Scaling through is all we pray.

Suddenly

We heard a loud growl.
We knew this was it.
We had been warned.
Going through Barley's forest was a bad adventure after all.
Our courage suddenly failed and we gave up all hope.
We all hoped and prayed kids, our age never tried what we did.
Now we know what will befall us.
Death was here.
It didn't care we were just 15.
Scaling through was all we prayed, but we never did maybe, this was how our young flames was planned to fade out.

*The black slave*

I am a slave
A living creature with personal dreams of a life of fulfilments,
But because I am black,
I am deemed fit, only as a tool for the colonial masters.
I have been forced to become a legal property of another human like me colours differentiating us.
I am strong.
I am full of untapped potentials.
All that still isn't enough all due to fact that I am black.

I am a slave
Africa is my home.
I strongly hold the belief that someday I will be free,
Dead or alive?
A mystery I don't want to know the answer yet.
I have been beaten.
I have been burned.
I have been scourged.
I have been shackled.
I have been hanged.
Punishments meted out in response to perceived infractions.
Most times I have been punished are just to show and reassert my masters dominance over me.
All this has caused me great pain, but because I am an African I know I can withstand whatever is thrown at me.

I am a slave
I have heard of news of slave trade being banned in many parts of the world.
I don't know when it will get to where I am being held in bondage.
But I hope it gets here sooner.
Because I am getting weaker.
I don't want my freedom when I am almost about to go back to my ancestors.
I want my freedom now.
I want to go back to my dear Africa.
I want to witness the joyful nights, enjoy moonlight tales and watch the little children dance around the fire.
My Africa is the reason why I hold on to all sorts of sickening a treatments I have been forced to withstand.

I am a slave
Morning is here.
The day I get my freedom.
My master has decided to let me go not as a goodwill but because I have grown old and frail unable to serve him to the nearest standards.
My bones are weak.
The journey to my beloved Africa will certainly kill me.
I am heartbroken.
I am bitter.
I have no kin of my own.
When i die on my way to Africa.
My body will be feasted on by vultures.
My bones scattered all over the desert.
A once promising young man reduced to dust.

He might be dumb.
He might be a troublemaker.
But everything he does is for her just so he can get her attention but still all efforts has proved futile.
So he thinks giving her time might solve it but he is slowly losing it and he knows.
He doesn't wanna accept he can't have her.

*I don't know*
I don't know why my dad choose to come live in that street considering we had better options of houses elsewhere.
I dont know why I saw you the day we came into the neighborhood.
I dont know why I saw you at night when I came to get provisions at the store.
I don't know why I suddenly started feeling like I wanted to know you more.
I don't know why I saw you in my dream that night.
I don't know why the next morning I had the urge to find and talk to you.
I don't know why you smiled at me when I started making my way towards you.
I don't know why you seemed polite to me and agreed we become friends.
I don't know why we had a long phone call that night all in the name of being acquainted with each other even though we just exchanged numbers.
I don't know why you agreed when I asked if we could hang out which got me surprised.
I don't know why you suggested we go to the cinema.
I don't know why I started feeling nervous throughout the night thinking about the next day.
I don't know why the next morning my courage suddenly returned to me and I was full of life.
I don't know why we held hands in the bus on the way to cinema.
I don't know why you picked the same drink I requested.
I don't know why we sat so close that made it seemed like we were sharing a seat.
I don't know why you clutched my hands anytime anytime a romantic scene occurred.
I don't know why after the movie we held hands again but this time we stared at each other and I simply wanted to kiss your lips so much that I started seeing them as wine which I wanted to get drunk with.
I don't know why you pressed your lips against mine which I responded by asking for an opening to go for your tongue.
I don't know why I felt so much alive than I had ever been.
I don't know why we said the goodbyes that night unknown to us what was about to happen.
Then morning came
I don't why I started feeling uneasy thinking about you.
I don't know why I decided to go straight to your house that morning.
I don't why my leg hit a stone and it started bleeding badly but since I didn't believe in superstitions I just waved the bad feeling I was having away and proceeded to your house.
I don't know why on getting to your house, I didn't even greet the people outside that I just simply barged into your room and I was given the biggest shock of a lifetime.
There lied your body lifeless and going cold and suddenly your siblings rushed inside and started consoling me telling me you had been battling an illness for long now and this morning you finally lost the battle against the ruthless illness and the next thing I fainted......
