Family members in UK, that's their interest. Since the visa cannot allow you work. They believe you will need someone like your sibling or partner who is already there that will accommodate you. The said person must put this in writing in acover letter including attaching their council tax. However, if you are planning to come with a dependant (whom ironically can work as they like) as tier 5 allows that. You will also need to state it too. This will strengthened your financial stability but offcourse that first few weeks of arrival - you will need to let them where you will living and who is picking you up at the airport.

My question is about the tier 2 visa switch.

I have a colleague who was principal applicant and his wife was dependent. They don't have children yet. Recently my colleague's VISA was revoked and given 60 days notice by home office. His wife's company plan to give her COS/sponsorship.

Can my friend switch to become a dependent under his wife under current visa rules or would he need to find his own COS asap? Anyone with similar experience recently who can share how they navigated the switch.

Was she issued 6131? Someone I know visa application didn't succeed because of this. If the code is 6135 - children tier will help the application.

I guess you meant the UK home office interview? Yes! It happens online but at the UK visa centre and not your home. However, you'll be given ample time to prepare. Make sure you are conversant of the organisation you have applied for especially their postal code. Secondly, accommodation is another strong point. Is your sponsor providing any and whats the postcode?
Do you have any family member over here?
Charity visa which is a tier 5 one is not expected to earn wages or salaries but stipends to cover groceries. This is where family ties comes in.

I have noticed, if you have a travel history to any of the developed world. Interview will be waved.

Please between UK and Germany which country is better to japa to. Canada is my first choice but they denied me visit visa recently after I waited for so long, and recent news is saying that right now Canada is denying a lot of visa applications from Nigeria. I don’t know whether I should try applying for study in Canada, whether they will deny me again.
Or I should just leave Canada and try another country. I have UK and Germany in mind as plan B.

UK is currently doing the same - denying people left, right and centre for flimsy reasons. Getting a COS these days isn't even the ultimate anymore. The current Labour Govt is trying to pander or impress the rising wave of far rights especially Reform UK with impressive stats on immigration. You know, immigrants to them are the reasons why they can't go on vacations the way they like. They are the cause of inflation too.

If you intend coming to UK, make sure your plug know what they are doing before you waste your money.

Is not 7weeks but 7-10weeks. They usually send email. I have to call them after the 10th week for my result before they mail me. So, I took additional two weeks to travel to get my certificate because I was busy.

A man that cornered almost the state assets to himself. The panel will retrieve all those properties back especially old NDDC at Aba Road, SEC building along CFC, all the civil servants quarters at Opobo crescent in GRA, Hostel K (Rivers state University off campus hostel for engineering students) and several of the states properties he collected.

I am a little bit confused. I went for Biometrics on the 2nd of May 2024, I was supposed to resume work on the 1st of June. They sent a mail last week that my visa processing is still with them and it will take 15 working days from the date they received it (3rd of May 2024 as a confirmation mail was sent on that to me) to make a decision (should be any time this week from my calender)

They just sent me another mail for an interview with them on the 4th of June at Abuja VAC.

This is kind of confusing to be honest.

Am I the only one on this table?

Anyways.....u can risk it....I don't think it's a serious issue.....someone else may think otherwise though........if the ECO is considerate, they may ask for ur passport via NSF email ....or just ask TLS to scan it to them

But If u don't want to risk it and u have money to another application u can cancel it and do another....But u may not get a refund because u have done biometrics and the application may have been opened .....but if u are lucky the application has not been attended to...u will get a refund.....

My brother/My sister, this same desperation has landed a lot of people over here in depression. Licences have been revoked and people are beyond stranded. I had to pay rent for 3 months for a family of 4 who came here after the husband paid for COS and never got a single shift, the wife got a job as a cleaner but the hours could basically only take care of groceries and energy bill. In January they found out the licence of the company had been revoked and they got a letter from home office early in March to leave in 60 days. Wife is back to Naija with the kids, husband is still around desperately looking for COS. Whatever you do, don't ever buy COS. Continue to apply. What is yours is yours and will come at the right time.

I hope he listens to you. There are other routes he can use to travel including tier 5 which is basically not expensive.

My COS was issued March 28th; just before the new rules of 4th April....SOC changed as well based off new rules....Now my question is, when inputting my SOC on the visa form, do I follow the old SOC code stated on my COS, or do I search for the new code and fill the new code?
