Gerrard59:

Wetin dey vex me be say na the cognitive dissonance and hypocrisies. You want a man to help you then after that, you run to Twitter to label all men as bad, cruel and scum. Then, why rely on men for your financial needs without working for it? You have young unmarried women insulting/mocking young bachelors whereas they sleep with married men. Tomorrow, these same spinsters are the ones who whine that men cheat on their wives and call for the destruction of the man. In the Ja.rus' case, there was a lady like that tweeted that the LASG should deal with him, only for everyone to know that Odanz had a mental visual remembrance of her vagina. Meanwhile, her supposed BF is a medical doctor based in the UK. Na mumu dey do long distance relationship sef. Or the other one who criticised a woman for seeing marriage as her all yet she tweeted how she loves a man but cannot have him to herself because he is married. Preach one thing, practice another.

Sometimes, I blame older men as they grew up in a different era, but hopefully, my generation draws the line between being a mistress and giving too much power to ungrateful beings. Na biology cause all these things. Sometimes, the illegality in Nigeria generates many money-miss-road men, plus the mentality most of our brothers have - literally using money to buy off women's attraction and attention.

On the financial aspect again, these women work for their money. The question is: what do they use it for? Recent studies have shown that single women outearn married women in certain professions and even slightly out-earn single men in some professions. In fact, if not for male testosterone which confers a higher advantage, women would have equal employment percentages with men across many industries. It is why I support the so-called solely female initiatives their ring leaders promote. Just that no one should cry when men replicate the same for young men. These are women who will never lend money to men for just having a broad chest and preek. So, after amassing employment opportunities and salaries men in yesteryears got, why do they want free money from the same men simply based on "I be woman o"? They asked for equality, and they got it. They should work for their money. No free lunch.

As for the bold, where else is different? Women are the same everywhere. That to me isn't really the issue, but the hypocrisy after collecting the money only to slander young men. Sha, dem go born boys and those ones will reap the benefits as the society is even harsher on boys who are/were solely raised by women.

Alongside the lady you have citied on Twitter, there was another lady always abusing Tacha for being promiscuous called "Aunty Ada" on that same Twitter. She was also found having an affair with a married man also for monetary gains, she came and denied but there was too much factual evidence against her. Most of the words of women on social media should be taken with a grain of salt.

Every body is abusing Ja.rus meanwhile most of those people all have a married man they are dating which funds their lifestyle. Someone like Ja.rus has enough funds to even go round 5 women and it would not shake him. As a Muslim man he was still attacked for doing what his Northern brothers would have done and they are praised for it, I cannot even remember when last someone condemned the great Emir Sanusi Response To Marriage To 18 Year Old Princess and took her to the UK for education. No one made any noise back then. On this Nairaland, people were raging as If Ja.rus has killed someone.

Majority of the divorced women as well are in relationship with married men for financial gains, which they blamed those mistresses for, so what goes around came back around at the end. Nobody wants their husband to have a side chic or mistress but will gladly be a side chic while they are single. who are we deceiving.

Women should work for their money. We're in the era of gender equality. Work your money. I have given my female friends money without asking for anything in return. I have been asked for a loan, but I dashed it out to ex-female classmates. However, I will not give money to a random lady without she providing evidence of work whether academic or otherwise. There's a reason scholarship awarding organisations have minimum requirements for applicants.

Nothing like free money. Work for it. Aren't you equal to a man?

Hahaha you don vex cheesy

I am always perplexed why modern day women always expect men to give them money without anything in return, especially when I asked if she gives *HER OWN FRIENDS* any thing at all or sponsors her friends on a vacation. Notice, I said *HER FRIENDS* which means the people she holds dearly so not even a romantic partner. None of the women on this thread give to their friends that are dearest to their hearts but they want a total male stranger to give them every thing without nothing in return. I am really surprised because simple logical scenarios that women can use amongst themselves is never used for men, I mean look at the last time you have gifted a female friend or family member and ask yourself why you aren't doing more for people around you. So then why do think or want a stranger or male friend to do the same for YOU for absolutely nothing. This is just madness. If not that I want to preserve my culture, I would just marry outside of West Africa.

Its common for a well to do woman to help a man without anything involved, but not the same with men.
Even the woman in the story that brought this post, was trying to feed her family by accepting help from her husband's friends, who could not help her or her husband without defiling her.
Or was she not trying to help her husband?

Yes, but it's her husband and that's normal.

I am referring to personal friendships, how many times have you taken your friends out, paid for them, sponsored them on vacation trips without any reward.

This is almost always expected from men only.

Also watch out for Men or Women who break properties or electronics anytime they are angry, It is a sign that they may actually kill you in extreme anger.

I have personally experienced a Girlfriend who breaks my properties whenever she is angry, I had to boot her off out of my house one day out of anger, going forward I always avoid Psychos like that.

3. Ignoring or Downplaying Their Mental Health Issues
Itā€™s important for everyone to take care of their mental health. If your partner has been diagnosed with a mental health condition or shows signs of one but refuses to seek help, this can be a major issue. Mental health problems like depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder donā€™t disappear on their own, and they can deeply affect your relationship if left untreated.

What to Look For:

Denying or minimizing the seriousness of their mental health.
Refusing to talk about their emotions or mental state.
Avoiding therapy or medication, even when they need it.
Family / Re: RE: Miss Switzerland Murder - Watch Out For Spouse Odd Behaviour by Kelechi009: 10:11am On Sep 13
2. Unpredictable Anger or Violence
No one should feel unsafe or scared in a relationship. If your partner has sudden outbursts of anger, is physically aggressive, or threatens violence, this is a serious red flag. These behaviors often escalate over time, leading to dangerous situations after marriage.

What to Look For:

Angry reactions that seem out of proportion to the situation.
Breaking things, yelling, or physical harm during arguments.
Threats or intimidation to get their way.
Family / RE: Miss Switzerland Murder - Watch Out For Spouse Odd Behaviour by Kelechi009: 10:11am On Sep 13
Yesterday I was reading this Blog Post about Miss Switzerland, a tragic and shocking incident has emerged involving Kristina Joksimovic, a former finalist in the Miss Switzerland pageant, who was allegedly murdered by her husband, Thomas. The circumstances surrounding the case are deeply disturbing, as it is alleged that he dismembered her body and disposed of the remains in a blender.

Marriage is one of the biggest decisions youā€™ll make in your life. Itā€™s a commitment that involves trust, understanding, and deep emotional connection. But before taking that leap, itā€™s important to observe certain behaviors in your partner that might be red flags. Ignoring odd behaviors like sudden mood swings, controlling tendencies, or signs of mental health issues like bipolar disorder can lead to serious challenges down the road.

1. Extreme Mood Swings
If your partnerā€™s mood changes suddenly and without any clear reason, it might be more than just a bad day. Sometimes, people with conditions like bipolar disorder experience extreme highs (mania) and lows (depression). This isnā€™t about simple sadness or excitement, but emotions that are so intense they affect daily life.

What to Look For:

Periods where they are overly excited or happy, talking fast, making impulsive decisions.
Sudden shifts to being deeply sad, hopeless, or withdrawn.
Unpredictable changes in their energy levels, sleep, or behavior.

How many women can you help without demanding for their body in return? Just answer this question in your heart

I have a question regarding this, usually when women make this statement.

When last did you help a fellow man without anything involved?

It is intereSting that women are the only ones that want help out of nothing while they themselves do not help anyone, not help their family members who are struggling.

What was funny was the way most men were choosing their friend on X, it was a serious debate there lask week, very callous of them, which shows the breed of men in existence today, imagine if their father treated their mother like that when she was trying to push them out, same people will be foaming in the mouth condemning their father with insults, yet they would do some thing to their wife, smh.

Yeah, I would just try to be objective in the situation.

The best course of action would have been to assign someone to go to the hospital right away and pick up my friend, then use my phone to keep an eye on their condition. The distance between the "friend" and my location could be another criterion that is not assessed here. For example, if it takes an hour to get to the friend, it would be much faster to send an ambulance or use Uber rather than making the trip there yourself.

In this case, the family will undoubtedly hold the husband responsible for the wife's passing (if she dies because of lateness of taking to the hospital).

Next question we should ask is, does this "friend" have any family members and why is it that none of them were called.

So what's your contribution to your friend in the hospital? Your presence will remove the bullet and make him well?

What's so funny is that people will eventually discover their own friends will choose their family over them in such a scenario. I was surprised this was even a trick question.

Last weekend, I participated in an African-themed event and we (a little group) had lunch opposite the venue. A Ghanaian, Beninouse, two Kenyans, a Ugandan and a Namibian. One of the Kenyans, a lady, narrated how Nigerians are troublesome in the country. What crimes do they commit, I asked. She narrated with grief and sorrow that Nigerians are behind the gruesome murder of young Kenyan girls and afterwards, they dump the bodies near bushes and dumpsites. What about the Somalians? "They are not troublesome and even bring business to the country". The Ghanaians? "Those ones are not troublesome either" What about South Africans? "Oh, they are the best! They follow the rules and mind their business. The problem is Nigerians". The Ugandan interjected to say that "Nigerians are very cunny to which they equate it as "smartness"". I felt bad and apologised but reminded her that back in Nigeria, it is actually a ritual (pun unintended) to have young girls murdered for simply no reason. Furthermore, I told her that whenever these Nigerians are arrested, they should be hanged, no ifs or buts! They should not allow Ruto's in-law who is a Nigerian to lobby anything but deal with the perpetrators brutally, thoroughly, and mercilessly. Also, I advised that Kenya should put up restrictive border controls against Nigerians regardless of what they opine.

When I condemn crime, Ndi lovey-dovey will accuse me of being an Uncle Tom. Tomorrow, ignorant and arrogant Nigerians will say Kenyans are xenophobic when they get angry as their young women's bodies are mutilated. Yes, mutilated as certain body parts are nowhere to be found upon recovery of the dead bodies. Apparently, the gIaNtS of Africa have carried their "rituals make one rich mentality" outside the borders of Nigeria.

I wonder what Kelechi009 has to say about our recent ritual exports to East Africa.

The issue was if they practise money rituals and whether they are effective; the answer was yes. I never claimed that body mutilation or the sale of body parts does not occur or that Nigerians do not engage in it. I can guess that the premise of this argument comes from not believing that anything above the physical or material world exist which if you were truthful enough would just admit that this is your stand, so we can stop going back and forth.

Nigerians, especially the uneducated ones, are known to commit a lot of crimes wherever they go. For instance, Dubai and the UAE as a whole, which only admits educated immigrants, have problems such as cult gangs among Nigerians, but you won't find these kinds of problems in the West, where only educated immigrants are accepted.

Furthermore, the most of the time, xenophobic countries stem not from Nigerian crimes but rather from jealousy of living in a place where they are not successful because to their black skin or whatever reason. Before Nigerians started moving to Kenya, there has been known crimes in that country. Johannesburg, South Africa for example has the highest crime rate in the Whole of Africa with Crime Index: 80.8. Johannesburg is plagued by high crime rates.

Was the crime rate in Johannesburg done by Nigerians too?! Answer!

This is exactly my point, if you have evidence of Europeans having these convo talking about money spells on Reddit then what other evidence do you require. It would have made more sense to say "I do not believe anything magical exist because I'm an atheist". Then at that point there wouldn't need to go any further in this back & forth.

It means your disbelief stems from an opinion that there are no multi-dimensional forces of good and evil outside of the material world.

Point of correction, I did not say only Nigerians sell their bodies. Nevertheless, my focus was on Nigerians not necessarily other groups. Those groups were used for comparison purposes.

Agreed, but the prevalence and belief system in Nigeria have led to the deaths of many people. I am all for demystifying it rather than acknowledging its existence even when in those societies, it is not rampant or a major belief system to becoming prosperous.

Just as not every employee can be the CEO or every fresher graduating with a first class, this is understandable. However, it should not be promoted or eulogised.

BTW, what about the links to BBC and the Economist? You had nothing to say about them?

Word for word - "Rituals don't make anyone rich. If so, many in the developed world and elsewhere would be doing it openly after all, it works. Some illegal/"immoral" ways to make money such as drug trafficking and prostitution exist elsewhere. So, how come rituals only exist in poor places? If it works, why are they not rich? Someone can trade drugs and become rich. Another can offer sexual services and become rich. These work in any part of the world. But how come rituals never work outside poverty zones?

Another illustration: a few years ago, there was news that the pants of young women were in high demand by yahoo boys and ritualists. Preferably they should be blood-stained. But the same yahoo boys are poor and wretched. However, in Japan, young girls package their used panties and sell them to stores where men age 40+ buy them to sniff as a sexual fetish. These girls make cool cash. If rituals made people rich, how come these Japanese men, some of whom are pensioners, not using them to become rich? Pensioner no like money ni? "

I had to quote what you wrote earlier because it seems we need an English-to-English translator. Participating in a ritual and not becoming rich doesn't make the ritual special. Additionally, no one is glorifying rituals. The main point of the discussion is whether rituals are real or not. The answer is yes.

Many high-profile individuals are involved in occult rituals. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they don't exist in affluent areas such as Maitama, Asokoro, Ikoyi, Lekki, and others. They are there.

BTW, what about the links to BBC and the Economist? You had nothing to say about them?

Human trafficking links on BBC is not a new thing, selling body parts have always been in vogue. The practice of selling body parts has persisted over the years, with allegations suggesting that some organs are used in replacement surgeries in certain Asian countries. The existence of an international organ market has been known for decades, dating back to cases such as that of Clifford Orji in Nigeria.

The issue here is not whether it exists or not. Can you prove that those rituals work? That's the intent of the thread, which I believe is titled, "You cannot make money with rituals," and not, "Rituals don't exist."

As a fervent follower of the r/occult on Reddit thread, the way spells are talked about as bringing money is entirely different. Compared to the Nigerian style of magically bringing money out of nothing. A jobless man in Nigeria is looking for spells to become rich. How? You're doing money rituals with human beings, but you don't even have a job. And you say, "Rituals exist." Have you seen anybody do rituals and suddenly become rich overnight? If you have, tell me so that I might go and worship him.

That's what Gerrad59 is addressing. Not that rituals don't exist.

He specifically said rituals or any form of magically making money spells do not work, you don't need to interpret English to English to me.

I doubt a lot of things that you say, because you often make a lot of ignorant posts and put it out as facts, rituals are done in every religion and not about being poor or rich. that's how you came to a nonsense conclusion some months ago that only Nigerians sell their body for sex & Nigerian men are the main reason for prostitution until I debunked that nonsense.

Rituals are present in every religion, including Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Pagan rituals also exist, typically focusing on honoring deities, observing natural cycles such as seasonal changes or lunar phases, and celebrating life milestones like birth, adulthood, marriage, and death.

Rituals are practiced not only in Africa but around the world. Some refer to these practices as money spells. These spells are believed to open various opportunities, such as successful job interviews or favorable responses from family members when requesting financial assistance.

In Nigeria, fraudsters known as Yahoo Boys use such rituals to gain favor when scamming victims. However, not all Yahoo Boys become rich, and not all money spells work for everyone. Therefore, it's unreasonable to assume that all Yahoo Boys should be wealthy.

There are literally threads on Reddit dedicated to Witchcraft and money spells, Google and you will find them there. People discussing and asking how to do it. These are not Nigerians and they aren't poor.

These are not Nigerians living in the Poverty capital, I say this because I know anything "Nigeria" is not rated by you, so at least you'd have a good reason to check this up.

Yes, I look forward to the results of these social policies they promote. I want to see how they will defeat evolution and nature. My problem is the power of American media and government to cajole people outside the country to copy these ideas. For instance, Japan has seen tactical pressure from the Biden administration and his ambassador here to legalise LGBT marriage. This was not the same under Trump. The same applies to Uganda and Ghana being denied loans because of their anti-LGBT stances. I don't watch movies or listen to American musicians, so I am not bothered by that aspect.

The tactical pressure will be worse under Kamala and the results of the policies they promote are already showing in America. Once a person starts arguing for single parenthood, just know their brain is fried.

Anyone arguing against the value of a two-parent household is not worth engaging with; I would just leave them to their own misguided views. A stable two-parent family is the cornerstone of any society. This is one reason I have concerns about aspects of Black American culture. I believe that immigrants from India, Africa, and Mexico often excel because they tend to relocate with their families and maintain strong family structures. Itā€™s challenging for a single-parent Black American household to compete academically or professionally with a two-parent immigrant household, and they often fall short.

This is a quite interesting & realistic picture of Nigerian fathers to be honest.

GloriousGbola:

one of the worst things you can do to children, imho, is leave them with their father

a large number of nigerian men simply do not know how to take care of children and will outsource 90% of the tasks to someone else

at best an already old grand mother or at worst one aunty like that

this leaves the children at risk of being molested

you want an idea of how careless the average nigerian father can be - one day i was at a supermarket and a man was with his child who needed to piss. and he handed the child over to a security guard to take the kid to a toilet. i immediately barked at the guy and asked him what he was doing, putting his child and the childs genitals in the hands of a complete stranger

davido is another example. the man is making noise about co parenting imade, but his own son died under his roof. his house is more of a frat house than a home. can you feel comfortable leaving your pikin for a sleepover at the house of a person like davido? how many men are built for the sacrifices of raising children?

you have already said more the price you are not interested in kids, so maybe thats why you may be missing the issue.

a woman can tell if her husband is capable of taking care of the children on his own

also, to be much more cynical, about it - children are an unhappy Nigerian wifes long game revenge against her husband.
be there for the children in their childhood, and they will be there for you in your old age. a lot of nigerian fathers do not have any relationship with their kids beyond being an atm and the dispenser of discipline. and this is something a lot of nigerian women actively encourage a father who is a distant authority figure.
