ASAPFERG: Abeg what is attractive about a 13yrs old? I think it's a psychological power play, people want to exercise their power over others and subdue them. Because there is no reason why this adult man who has plenty money would want anything from a 13 year old other than to show his power. This man isn't a tout or a poor person, It is because he thought he could get away with it. If this was done in the North, he might just escape judgement. |

wunmi590: Let's stop all these tribal war on this forum, is not healthy..
The pastor that was recently given life in prisonment, he's a yoruba man, I don't support life in prisonment also, 15-20years is good, but not everything should be based in tribe...
I'm currently working for an Igbo woman for the past 3years now, she trust me who is a yoruba person more than her fellow Igbo staff self, and I've worked for alot of my yoruba people who felt I'm not to be trusted..
Let's stop this, Good morning I think that Pastor (who is Yoruba) also got life sentence and he supported Peter Obi in his Church publicly making prophecies etc, that being said doesn't exempt anyone from that behaviour. Life sentencing for this sort of crime is normal, whether he was Igbo or not. I support the life sentencing. What bothers me more is that someone with a "supposed good head" on his shoulders and good career will do such a thing, I know some people do not believe Evil Powers exist but this is a far reach. It is also another reason why anyone cannot be exempted from a crime regardless or how accomplished, rich, handsome or beautiful they may look. |

I am not trying to correct you, I am here to tell you that you're mentally deranged, you both should get your head checked in the psychiatric wards. Mental illness is YOU trying to quote a text from a book you do not believe in, a book you hate & despise, a book you believe is a myth but you constantly quote it. You must be really CRAZY! FatherCHRISTMAS: Let her be. I like her that way. You have to be an atheist to understand truth. The moment you are able to hit atheism, that means you are no longer following blindly. That's means you are on the path to discovering truth. You cant find truth without first questioning the age old teachings For one, you are a very stupid person for quoting me & saying this rubbish to me this early morning. Two, I have no hate or love business with atheist or atheism. You do not need to quote Bible out of context to prove atheism or disprove it, just be an atheist in peace and leave quoting bible for reference. If not mental illness, I do not see how you despise something but you need to quote it for reference, like are you crazy...what the hell is that?! Three, I won't even be surprised if this is your second moniker used to attack people on Nairaland because most of you are mentally deranged. |

1000Capacity: I don't know if you have written your own Bible. God never caused marriage, In Genesis 1:26-27 and 2:18-24, God commands man and woman to leave father and mother and become husband and wife through uniting in a one-flesh act that seals their love and which can bring forth children. The formation of family is part of humanity's call to a loving stewardship of creation and culture. God is the author of every creation.
Also, Jesus first miracle was At a wedding party. My favorite where he turned water to wine. So with that, marriage or union is established in the kingdom of God. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end Amen The person you are replying is a stark atheist who is also mentally deranged, so do not waste your time arguing with him/her. He or she quotes Bible out of context to attack defame and to confuse. Do not even bother. |

Villa12: That is what your father, grandfather and great-grandfather did and they had a successful marriage. Nature has made it so expecially in our clines. In your tiny brain you think money is the only factor that makes marriage/family flow smoothly?
Will you also help the woman carry pregnancy for 9-12 months and risk your life during child birth? Will the child also bear the woman surname? Will you also lose your shape and figure as a result of motherhood? If you can also share the aforementioned then you can see a woman that'd even do 50/50 bills with you. This is the sole reason why you will die of poverty, it comes in the night creeping and will catch up with you, most Nigerian guys who are domiciled in Nigeria have this mentality of yours. I have left the shores of Nigeria 8 years ago, therefore I am nothing like you. This is also why women like shaybebaby love men like you that scream provider provider, because that's the only reason why you exist. To be a work horse and die. |

If your view was the standard, then we wouldn't have the term " evening newspaper" being bandied around. Why does it matter if one man thinks differently than others and you all want to crucify the one man because he thinks differently. Everyone cannot be backward thinking like your average Nigerian. Dollar is 1300, poverty is on the rise in Nigeria but our guy should go and marry a 21 yr old uni student who has nothing to offer apart from sex all in the name of “his view is not standard”. |

Reason why i said you may likely remain single for life is because it is much easier for women to get men within or above their class but not that easy for men. If you like let all these small small boys for nairaland dey decieve you or applaud you. It's just like me saying the girls i graduated with in school should marry us the guy. Like who does that. Some of the girls in my class got married in their final year while some during and after service. How on Earth will they marry their mate who probably don't know where life is taking them to? Gerrard59: - Proliferation of Internet enabled devices and their affordability. - Access to global trends - Increased poverty largely resulting from Buhari's economic policies. His administration was catastrophic to many families. Families lost their breadwinners, especially in Northern Nigeria and the southeast.
Still, it's an industry sustained by the basic laws of supply and demand. Men are the buyers, yet men (poorer men) are the complainers. These men should choose a struggle. Going by these 3 stated reasons, can we also affirm that other African countries have this problem (Internet enabled devices, Access to global trends and Increased poverty)?. We aren't the only poor African country in the continent and also not the poorest, nor the only ones with bad presidents. Using this data: worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/poorest-countries-in-africa shows that we are not even in the list of the 10 poorest African countries. Based on your conclusion, I'd expect the other countries to have similar problems but with the look of things online, I doubt it. Regarding poverty, the lady in context did not even try to setup a SPA business or any other related businesses that could generate steady income later on, even after given a blank cheque by the Senator. She insisted on just continuing with her sex trade. |
Romance › Re: A Hook-Up Girl's Earnings And Expenses (Pictured) by Kelechi009: 12:38pm On Apr 17, 2024 |
Gerrard59: The issue of hook-ups is entirely on Nigerian men. Men sustain the industry, not women. These women don't fvck themselves. The average Nigerian man has an insatiable demand/urge for sex and would do anything to get it. That creates a market, and since women can be the only suppliers, they cater to this demand. If Nigerian men indulge in celibacy, the rate at which young girls resort to hook-up will drastically decline. It is simple economics. Additionally, it is biological because men have testosterone which induces the urge for sex every single day, people who cannot tame it will resort to demanding for sexual intercourse, and another set of people have to supply that demand. You're so hell bent on this issue and It's astonishing. Anywhere you see hook-up posts like this, you'd run and create thread Hookup has never been a thing in Nigeria and the mainstream media such as we have now, what exactly happened in Nigeria that skyrocketed the hook-up culture?. Meanwhile 10 - 20 years ago, growing up I never witnessed hook-ups, even in University years ago It was never an issue until current times. What I knew back then was called Brothels. We need to differentiate btw BROTHELS & Hookup, one is done by regular individuals occasionally (hookup) while the other is done by going into a LovePeddler house (brothels). You need to research more on what changed between 2010 and 2024, you cannot just be throwing blames at men for the hook-up culture. Testosterone levels in men have not increased in 10 years, It has decreased therefore using testosterone as a reason for blaming men is not accurate. |

oliverwrites: Unpaid labour? Westernisation is affecting Nigeria women. Does he pay rent? School fees? Feeding you, the kids and himself? Isn't that enough payment?
Plus when the children grow who between you and him is going to benefit from them more?
If you are referring to irresponsible idiotas I agree but for those of us who are trying as much as possible to be responsible, marriage is against us but for our women.
I personally spell this out to my wife whenever that we have equal right nonsense comes up. Some of us know marriage is against us, but we also do know that it is a mandate from GOD and not doing it is not an option.
I will take care of my wife and kids till I die, how they behave is none of my business. My mandate is my mandate. Can be tough and painful especially when women are being women, but it is what it is. I was waiting for a good response for this, so I scrolled through all the pages but none from @zooposki I recently engaged in an argument with a woman who vehemently opposed my viewpoint. Following the disagreement, she harbored resentment towards me because I presented clear and compelling reasons to support my stance. Before marriage- Man pays bride price - Man pays for the wedding (Traditional & Church) After marriage:- Man pays rent? - Man pays School fees? - Man pays for Feeding you, the kids and himself? - Man still buys her luxuries for her on her Birthday, Valentines day, Mother's Day, Christmas Day & other occasions across the year. - Man buys her a car All of this is done is Nigerian families (home & abroad), then @zooposki calls it unpaid labour. So I asked further:Would you consider switching roles, taking on the responsibility of paying all the bills while your husband relaxes and offers occasional support? Typically, the response to this proposition is negative. In conclusion:Women often become displeased upon realizing that their husbands are cognizant of this reality. Some may even develop animosity towards their spouses, akin to what @zooposki expressed, or you may begin to encounter microaggressions within the household. I sincerely hope this isn't your situation, Mr. @oliverwrites. |

[s]First of all, 99% of the People who travel abroad do NOT do it to make money. So the premise of her NONSENSE argument is flawed.[/s]
The amount of money that is needed to complete the process of emigration in Nigeria is MIND-BOGGLING! The idea that it's ONLY poor people looking for money that choose to travel to UK, Europe, USA, Canada, etc is just plain DUMB!
If it enters your body to leave Nigeria and you can afford it, LEAVE! Even if you are 99 years old, LEAVE! This is False, majority of those I know travelled because of economic reasons & foreign passport. Stop spreading false information. The value of the money they spent is not a lot because inflation is killing the currency in Nigeria. Travelling abroad helps people financially more than anything. From 2011 to 2022, Nigeria remitted: In total, the personal remittances received amounted to 20.13 billion U.S. dollars in 2022. Many even did it at the risk of not getting the essentials it was sent for. Also some bought to hoard for same reasons. Seeing now that it's been falling and fearing their dollars is relatively losing value and may continue doing so,they are gradually releasing it,while still watching. beautyuche: So for both Brazil and Mexico, parents get permanent residency immediately after birth. However, you need to remain in Brazil for one year to process a Brazilian passport while for Mexico its 18-24 months to process the passport.
In my opinion, both options are way cheaper when it comes to a second passport for the parents. This you can not get in the USA and Canada Hi, Just for confirmation basis, does this mean if a woman moves to Mexico for child birth, she has to stay for almost 2-years to process the passport for both child and parent, also it seems like this requires parents to cater for themselves for almost 2-years during this period. Hence this looks like both parents need to find work and earn some income in Mexico to keep them floating until 2-years. Is my assumption correct, if not just guide me properly, thanks. |
