The pharmacists should be concerned with manufacturing and dispensing drugs, while the Medical Doctor is concerned with diagnosing and telling the pharmacist the drugs the Doctor need for treatment of the patient, which is dispensed by the pharmacist!!!! that's the practice, world over!!! Its only in Nigeria that a court clerk would fight to preside over a case, and ask a judge what the judge can do, that he the clerk can't do!!!! Nigeria is professionally messed up!!!! We don't give a flying fvck if they answer Doctors, but we give a supersonically flying fvck if they go beyond the ambits of their profession and encroach into ours!!!!

But this is Nigeria, where millions do not have access to a well trained Healthcare provider as well as facilities... A country where an ordinary without any training will open a chemist shop n dispense even prescription medications Dat might have serious deleterious effects... A country wia drug traders are in control the drug distribution... A country wia many die as a result of no availability of adequate professionals to care for the health system of the poor masses.... In such a situation, our pharmacy outlets and odas primary health care facilities comes in very handy... Our pharmacist have a very crucial role to play in making Healthcare accessible to the masses... They can diagnose n manage certain ailments and some chronic conditions Dat require constant medications like hypertension and diabetes... We can't expect a pharmacist to send a patient with a minor upper respiratory tract infections to the Dr or be engaged in syndromic mgt of Sti... Do you a pharmacist shouldn't take care of a patient with unsevere malaria, typhoid, and other less severe ailments... Dat is a no no... They must be engaged in health care system of our country n perform the much dey can.... Dey also do well to refer cases beyond dia scope such as severe cases of patients ailments... In the hospital dey must be engaged in pharmaceutical care which is the aim of Pharm D... They must make sure the patient receives the right med free of interactions n decreased side effects as well as pharmacoeconomically cost effective.... Yes, pharm D has come to stay in Nigeria.... I urge both med Dr and pharmacist to embrace it fully and spearhead our health system to being a better one if not the best.... We have many fight to engage in as pharmacist including making sure patent med vendors are eradicated and drug traders hu sell med like tomatoes and oda commodities be obliterated along with their open drug market..... of course we are not med Dr.... We are Pharmacist Dr and we our job description and med Dr i believe knows theirs... Jus as a medical Dr will direct a patient to the respective specialist Dr with regards to the area of focus wic the patient needs, pharmacists also direct patients to the Dr once it's above their scope of job... The Dr analyses the situation and sends him back to the drug Lord to issue the med and give directions to the patient... I don't see any need fr the fight BTW pharmacist and Dr.... I thank you

There is no problem with institutions conducting Post Utme. The problem is when a university which has admission capacity of 5,000 sells form to over 40,000 applicants.

But wat do you think a school like uniben should do... Currently uniben has candidates Dat applied fr admission in it as high as above 70,000... Dats y dey peg post ume cut off mark to 200 to reduce the number still ppl complain Dat dere cut off mark is high... If it's high fr dem den oda university like state university and polytechnics are readily available fr dem... And if they really want uniben n oda big unis like unn unilag Ui n co, they should strike above 200...dese schools are not meant fr dull ppl...

Clueless Nigerians commenting Dat post utme is illegal without knowing the actual essence of p.utme... It's a medium to help screen down and get the best candidates suited fr the depts and school as well... Imagine 70,000 applying to be admitted into uniben Dat has a federal government allocated admission quota of less dan 7000...there is no way dey can admit more than Dat... So dats y deyll hv to rescreen the candidates to ensure Dat dey are having the best candidates fr the position... Jamb as a body has died a long time ago and has had a lot of compromises in fr many yrs now ranging from malpractice to errors in results and oda related issues... So the post utme is dere to curb the excess of jamb... Dey combine the two results and get the average wic will now be the candidates results fr admission.. It then means if u were good in jamb ull b definitely good in p.utme... If you cheated in jamb p.utme will catch up with you... And if ur results in jam was wrong misjudged, the p.utme will help you excel... It's only the frivolous candidates Dat fear post utme like a plague cus dey know it will definitely expose their flaws
