Have you ever stopped in the middle of the Christmas rush and asked yourself—why am I doing all this?” This thought struck me as I got caught up in the whirlwind of last-minute Christmas shopping. The market was overflowing—people rushing around, carts brimming with goods, and voices blending into a chaotic hum. Everyone seemed focused on grabbing everything they needed for the big day. I couldn’t help but notice the shop attendants, tirelessly attending to customers. Many of them looked exhausted, but it was the kind of fatigue that comes with purpose, knowing their efforts would translate to a productive day when the cash register closes. Yet, in the midst of all this hustle and bustle, I found myself wondering: Do we truly understand the reason for this season? Christmas is more than the shopping, the food, or even the celebrations. It’s about JESUS. John 3:16 puts it perfectly: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” This is the simple yet profound reason for the season. Here’s the bigger story: When God created us, He gave us guidelines for life. But humanity disobeyed, and that disobedience caused a separation from Him. Despite our failures, God’s love remained constant. He sent His Son, JESUS, to pay the ultimate price for our sins, bridging the gap and reconciling us to Him. So, as you navigate the excitement of this season, take a moment to reflect: Am I reconciled with my Maker? Or am I simply going through life as though I made myself? If you haven’t yet made that decision to reconnect with God, today is the perfect day to start. It’s the greatest gift you can receive this Christmas—the gift of salvation and a relationship with your Creator. And if you’d like support on this journey, I’m here for you. Feel free to reach out at: imoleayooladeji56 @ gmail. com. Wishing you a truly Merry and Joyful Christmas, filled with love, peace, and the true reason for the season!

For you to write a great content, you must avoid the following mistakes: Mistake 1; Being clumsy in your writing Let me explain what I mean. When you are writing a content, your sentences must be well spaced out. Don't just jumble everything together. Make it easy for the reader to be able to follow your writings. Mistake 2: Writing in a too formal language When I first started out as a content writer, I was so formal in my writing. l write like I am sitting for an English essay exam. But now I know better. Now don't get me wrong. I don't mean you should start writing in Incorrect English. No. Rules of content writing allows you to include slangs, vernacular language or street words in your write-up. The truth is reading can really be hard for an average person. But when you include slangs, jokes, etc. You get to soften up your conversation. I will continue with some other Mistakes of Content Writing in my next article. I hope you got some value in this write-up. Please feel free to drop comment , share, like and also follow my page. As I sat before my desk earlier today I was watching the news on Sudan fighting... How people are trapped in their homes with no power supply, no water and no food ... And even the people that ran to neighboring countries for refugee Are not finding it funny at all Some sit under the sun and rain The supplies from NGOs are not enough The saddest part of the story is the Nigerians trapped in the country News has it that over 1 million Nigerians are living in Sudan Our government made arrangements for only the students to evacuate Even the arrangements sef get k-leg What of the other Nigerians there, how will they escape? Rufai in a program on arise tv said that conflicts are bound to happen And any serious government must have concrete plans in place to address such when they arise As I ponder on Rufai's statement I remember this passage Matthew 24: 6-7 That one of the signs of the end time is war and rumors of war It was Ukraine that started first, now Sudan, we don't know what country is next Friend, truth be told The events of the world are signs of end time You must ensure that wherever you are on the surface of these planet, God is there with you. Because WHERE GOD IS , NA THERE SECURITY SURE PASS (Psalm 91) My question to you this evening is this: IS GOD WITH YOU? |
What You Shouldn't Do At Naija's Owambe If you will be attending any party this weekend, please do well to read this and share with loved ones Last night, I was on my way to church for all-night. I had to go by public bus... At one of the bustops, The driver picked two women These two women were well-dressed And were carrying souvenirs You know those kind that is being shared in Nigeria Owambe I see some of those women coming from parties Saturday evening With load on their head, in their beautiful dressing You will think they are coming from shopping They have collected everything shared at the party... Maggi, Salt, Matches, Tray, Bucket, Spoon, etc. Ok, let me continue my story ... One of the women sat beside me I noticed she was acting uncomfortable Anyway, I kept on minding my business That's what u do in Lagos public transport All of a sudden, one of the lady on the other side beckoned to the driver "Wait o, driver! "Someone wants to vomit" That was when I looked to my side. The woman was quickly helped to come down. Eventually, she regained herself and sat in the front seat by the driver When I eventually arrived my destination, I started pondering, This woman that was vomiting Because she eventually started vomiting in her new seat beside the driver. I hope this woman has not eaten something strange? There is something I observed at Owambe parties and that is... People tend to let their guards down And that is also the time, the enemies target to launch their attack. Two lessons I learnt from that incident 1. Never let your guards down at social events 2. Pray before attending any social event 3. Sanctify the food and drinks you are given 4. If in your heart, you don't feel like eating a particular food, please don't violate what your heart is telling you The truth is the devil is an opportunist always looking for opportuned moment. You shall not fall prey to the enemy in Jesus name . Have a great weekend

My Christmas experience as a kid and now as an Adult Few days to Christmas I had to go shopping for shoes for my kids I had earlier shopped for the gowns And they kept reminding me... Mummy, you have not bought shoes o I remembered my childhood days Christmas period is always a different ball game for me and my siblings Because on those days we usually work ourself out At times, we may not be chanced to even bath until night time I guess you would be wondering what kind of work Hummnnn Na preparation of food o My mum believes Christmas is a time to share food with her neighbors, cooked one for that matter! And it usually our local food (Ikokore) Ijebu people will understand what am saying... But as I sit this afternoon 25/12/2022 I have a better understanding of what Christmas is all about At Christmas, we are celebrating the birth of JESUS, the Saviour of the world Until you are SAVED, you are not SAFE It looks like a hard saying , but that is the truth HOW DO YOU GET SAVED? It's as simple as ABC A- Accept what JESUS has done, he came to the world to die for our sins, so we can be reconnected back to God B- Believe with your heart that JESUS is your saviour C- Confess with your mouth that JESUS is your saviour Dear Friend, it is then you can be SAVED Why not take that step today to make JESUS your saviour, and let this Christmas mark a turning point in your life I tell you friend , LIFE WITH JESUS IS SWEET. Because JESUS is REAL.. I wish I can share some personal experience here. Maybe some other time... Say this Prayer if you want to be SAVED Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I realise now that I'm a sinner and acknowledge that I can't save myself. I know that my sin has separated me from you. I know that Jesus died for me by shedding his blood that I might be saved . Today , I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour . I ask that you forgive all my sins. Wash me in your blood and make me whole. I forsake the devil ,the world and a life of sin and sinful habits. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Father, I thank you because you have saved me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen If you have said the above prayer, you are now saved . You can send a mail to lifeoasis @ hotmail. com for further assistance. 7 PEOPLE YOU WOULD SEE AT A NAIJA WEDDING Having attended Nigerian wedding ceremony several times, (I have lost count gan sef) I have this to say: There are 7 types of guest in a Nigerian wedding. 1) The FLASHY ONES: these are people that like to be noticed anywhere they are. They choose clothes type with colors that will quickly draw attention to them. They are the NOTICE ME kind of people. 2) The CONSERVATIVES: these are the kind of people that would wear Jeans and T-shirt, simple gown to a wedding. They are very reserved. l call them the RESERVATIVES. They don’t want anyone to notice them or should I say, they are just trying to be different? 3) The EXPENSIVE: these ones dress so well that you will almost think they are the parents or siblings of the couple. But a number of times, they are far from it. These are the people that maybe just bought a new dress or shoe and just needs an occasion to wear it to to show off. I call them the SHOW-OFFS. 4) The AVERAGE: these ones dress modestly and decently. They have the mindset of : “I must not appear better than the celebrants o”. I call them the SE BI O TI MO (Be Moderate). 5) The SEDUCERS: these ones just dress to seduce by showing off body parts that should be concealed with clothes(e.g cleavage, thighs). These set of people are the ones that will keep going to the toilet regularly. They would not sit in one place. They just keep walking up and down so that someone can notice them. And yours truly, in a short time, a crazy guy like them or an uncontented married man is already collecting their phone number. They arrived the wedding single but wants to go home double. I call them the DESPERADOES. 6) The BEGGARLY: these ones are actually gate-crashers. They were not invited, but they just need a place to take decent lunch free of charge. You will see it in their dressing, a faded Ankara on a rubber slippers. I call them the MOGBO, MOYA( I heard about it and I branched). 7) The HIGH-TEMPERED: this ones are easily offended. Such people easily raise their voice when angered drawing people's attention. They are the kind of people that can pour hot soup(Obe-ata) on the Iya-oko(Groom's mother) because they were not served food on time. I call them the ATA WEWE( Aggressives) Naija wedding is fun. It’s a good place to relax and loosen up all the tension that you have gathered throughout the week. Watch out for my next episode on Naija weddings! Kindly like and share this post. I remain yours in gist-serving Kemi Oladeji

I WILL TELL MY DADDY TO BEAT YOU ; “cried my 5 year old daughter” So this is the threat I get from my 5- year old daughter most of the times I beat her. I usually wave aside the statement each time she makes them. But this particular day, I had to sit her down and educate her. I said; Dear girl, Daddy is a king while Mummy is a queen. A king will never beat up a queen. No never! I told her that if she ever see a man beating up his wife, that man must be a mad man. This is my reason, as God ordained, the wife is a part of the husband and vice versa. So the man beating himself is likened to someone beating up himself. And it's only a madman that you will see on the streets beating up himself. It’s high time we start educating our kids right from their innocent age what is supposed to be the correct order of things in life. Both the girl and boy child must be taught that a man beating up his wife does not depict royalty but rather it’s a thing of shame. We, as parents too must live out good examples for our children to see. There are some children that daily watch their Dad assault and beat their mum. The boys that turn up from such homes end up also being wife- beaters while the girls end up hating marriage. Some will even vow not to marry while those that eventually marry will create this wall of resistance /defence against their husband. Lets help this children by living out good and Godly examples before them and educating them rightly too. Thank you. #enddomesticviolence #kingsdontbeattheirwives #madmenbeattheirwives |
Kobojunkie:Yes, all men and women are equal in every aspect of life. But in the institution called marriage, there is just one head, that is the man. Note that , God did not put man in position of leadership in marriage so that he can Lord over her or mistreat her or abuse her. Rather, the man is to treat her with love. Like I said anything that has two heads is a monster. So saying equality in marriage can be likened to a man with two heads, that's abnormal. For proper adminstration in the home, there has to be a head, and that is the man. Now I am talking about a God-ordained marriage here. There are other kinds of marriage that men have instituted for themselves, anything can be applicable there. But for a God-instituted marriage , the man is the head, this does not mean the woman is inferior. But rather she allows for the man to lead while she supports him. For Every game, there is a rule. If you choose to play the game of football, but applied the rules of handball, the person will be disqualified. So also in marriage, God has set the standards and rules in Eph 5:22-25. Those rules are not negotiable |

Kemistri:The stands still remains as this For a God-ordained marriage, I mean the one between a MAN and a WOMAN not man and man, not man and crocodile, not woman and woman, not boy and girl, not man and snake ,etc. I mean the kind of marriage God ordained is between a man and woman and God ordained the man as the head. Fullstop. No philosophy can change that. |
Kobojunkie:That's is a brilliant inference! But can you support this inference with a verse in the Bible? I mean equality in marriage, what chapter and verse? |
Kobojunkie:Please read Eph 5:22-23. Wives, submit unto your own husbands,as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, and he is the saviour of the body. God has given the man , the headship position in marriage, that is the Divine order. Note that, Marriage was God's idea , Gen 2:18. God instituted Marriage and gave headship to the man( though God never said man should take advantage of the woman because he is the head). But rather God commanded the man to love his wife, Eph 5:25. Anything that has two heads is a monster, in marriage, there is just one head and that is the man. |
FLEE WOMAN ! FLEE !! FLEE!!! Its so heartbreaking to hear that she is no more. Sis Osinachi Nwachukwu Her song has blessed so many lives. Dear Woman, It is true the Bible teaches women to submit to their husbands. But the moment your husband starts beating you up on a regular basis and you keep mute about it. THAT IS NO SUBMISSION, IT IS MERE FOOLISHNESS. The Bible states , WISDOM IS PROFITABLE TO DIRECT STAY ALIVE TO FIGHT FOR YOUR MARRIAGE How do you fight? FLEE! FLEE!! FLEE!!! FLEE THAT VIOLENT HUSBAND! FLEE THAT ABUSIVE HUSBAND! SEPARATION DOES NOT EQUAL DIVORCE God hates Divorce, but I have not seen anywhere in the bible that God says that you should remain under the same roof with a man that is physically assaulting you on a regular basis. Dear Woman FLEE! I don’t want you to get me wrong here. DON’T FLEE INTO THE HANDS OF ANOTHER MAN. But rather, while separated from your husband, PRAY, PRAY, PRAY Pray for your husband for God to change him. Pray for your marriage too. SEE, it is only the LIVING THAT CAN FIGHT FOR HER MARRIAGE STAY ALIVE WOMAN ! STAY SAFE! Like the FRSC Slogan, SAFETY FIRST, SAFETY ALWAYS #enddomesticviolence #Separationisnotdivorce #vawulence

As ASUU Strike lingers, you as a student should start thinking what's NEXT? The truth is the ASUU Palava will eventually end someday and you will graduate. This is a time to reminisce on what you really want to do AFTER SCHOOL. Don't wait until the certificate gets into your hand and then you start running from pillar to post. In my own case, I waited too late. The day I went to collect my certificate, I cried uncontrollably, because the future looked so bleak and blank. All I did in school then was to read, cram and pour ( during exam). I wasn't doing any critical thinking or planning. But thank God for HIS mercies that I enjoyed that redeemed me from that hopeless state. Dear student, start planning for your future now. What are your areas of interest, know it and start equipping yourself . One advise I will give students is to go learn at least a skill , even more. We live in times that salaries aren't enough again. You must have multiple streams of income. There are vocational skills ranging from tailoring, baking, photography, automobiles repair, etc. You can also chose digital skills ranging from COPYWRITING, GRAPHIC DESIGN, WEB DESIGN , PROGRAMMING, CONTENT CREATION, SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT, etc All these Digital skills mentioned are lucrative and you can earn from them while still in school. I will be hosting a FREE TRAINING on COPYWRITING this weekend . You will be taught basics of COPYWRITING and how you can earn with it on big FREELANCING platforms like FIVERR. Don't miss this Opportunity. To join class Send COPY WRITING to the contact on the flier Make the best of this ASUU Strike and come out BETTER and not BITTER. Are you about starting a business but afraid of failing? Your rich uncle just gave you this huge capital to start that business but you are so scared. You are afraid you will fail. You don’t want to disappoint him. You don’t want his money to go down the drain. HEY! STOP THERE! Your don’t have to fail and you shouldn’t fail if only you will pay attention to some of the Truths I will sharing with you in this write-up. Ensure you read to the end. There are some crucial mistakes that most startups make that you must avoid like plague Mistake 1: WRONG MINDSET For instance, if your main reason for wanting to do business is to make money, then you have already failed from the start. Money will keep running away from you instead of coming to you. Your main reason for being in business is to SOLVE PROBLEMS. Be an answer somewhere. Seek to solve people's problem and money will run after you. MISTAKE 2: POOR RECORD KEEPING A large number of startups don’t have proper records. No customer's details. No transaction details. No financial details. A no of times, startups underestimate what they are doing, saying ,”Its just a small business”. If you can’t keep proper record in days of small beginning, you are going to be in a big mess by the time the business grows big. Well, that is if it ever survives. So, keep proper record Mistake 3: TOO SHY TO DEMAND FOR YOUR MONEY AFTER A TRANSACTION I will cite an example.Mr A sold books to Mr B.One week later, Mr B is yet to pay up.Mr A is not asking for his money . He feels: “ I don’t want him to feel that I like money “, “I don’t want him to feel bad”. Aaargh! That's a huge mistake . If Mr A continues that way, his business will soon fold up. I will say this without any apology. IF YOU ARE TOO SHY TO ASK FOR YOUR MONEY, THEN YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE IN BUSINESS, GO GET A JOB INSTEAD! See three things that can happen if you are shy about money: 1) Customers will withhold your money and use it for other purposes 2) Customers will cheat you 3) In no time , you will be in debt after the business must have folded up. I will talk about the other two mistakes in the next article, watch out. Till then, go and start succeeding in that business. Remember if others can, you too can! I remain yours in success Kemi Oladeji Content Marketer |
