fkj950ax: The screenshot I shared is a new update on USinNG website released around when IW was also reintroduced.
You won't get a visa for birth purposes right now.
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html#:~:text=Travel%20Purposes%20Not%20Permitted%20On%20Visitor%20Visas&text=Employment,journalism%2C%20or%20other%20information%20media Well two people shared that they just got their B2 for birthing last week. They presented and explained their need to based on complications from previous pregnancy. So …… |

Dampops: It’s funny that you have all these details about your friend’s previous applications. One would think the person being referenced was you or your husband.
You didn’t mention anything about his wife (except I missed that part). On what visa is she going to the US for childbirth in November? Is she a citizen?
He can apply for the B1 visa to attend his business conference (no need for you to mention that ulterior motive he has-to witness the birth of his second child). He has to get an interview date and that will be a challenge. Interview dates available are for 2023. I wish him all the luck…
He can look for a conference in another country as a backup… Lol you are right he’s my sis-in-laws husband’s brother but that story seemed long so I just put friend. Anyway his wife just got a B2 based on past pregnancy complication. Apparently some people have been getting that as I mentioned in my last post to @fkj950ax He may be lucky with appointment as I assume they have someone that helps with that cos of how fast his wife got the B2 appointment. I thought so too. I think he has a better chance with B1 cos one could reason that it’s been 6YEARS since his rejection and the only reason he is attempting US again is cos of the conference otherwise he may never apply again. Other than why come back to apply for Holiday to the US after 6years ? I dunno sha Thanks alot for your advice sir |

fkj950ax: Let both of them rethink all their November 2022 plans. Starting with screenshot below. Im not sure I understand you fully sir. Anyway, the wife just got a B2 visa as she has had pregnancy complications in the past. People get B2 visas if they have had birth complications and can convince the VO they can afford the birthing in the US. If you go to Nairaland “give birth in the US” some people have been getting B2 visas if they are in this category. Some on existing B1/B2 even inform the embassy about the intention to birth in the US and they are told it’s ok. This is recent times. You can check the platform For such testimony |

Hello everyone, A friend of mine was rejected a B1/B2 visa twice in 2015 and 2016… in 2015 he wanted to go for his wife’s graduation(his wife was in a masters program then) and in 2016 he decided to apply again for B1/B2 (for holiday ) but really because his wife was going back to the US to have a baby but was rejected both times.
His wife has been back in naija after the masters since 2015 (though she went to give birth In 2016 and returned). They have been working and doing fine.
Now this year he wants to go for a conference/poster presentation that would look good on his resume and help him get a promotion at work. The conference is in USA in November. Out of fear of being rejected, he wanted to look for another conference in another country but his wife is now a pregnant and she wants to give birth in the US around November (same time as the US conference). Now he really would like to witness the birth of his second child. Question: ITS BEEN 6YEARS since his last rejection 1) Does he stand a better chance applying for a B1 (conference visa) since the conference/poster presentation is a paid conference (not free) and it’s a physical conference NO ONLINE OPTION. The conference is around same time as the time his pregnant wife is due to birth
2) does he stand a better chance on a B1/B2 visiting visa saying he is just going on holiday since it’s been 6 years he was rejected.
Brief Background : His field is the technology field He did his masters in the UK in 2012, has visited the Uk for holidays in the past. Since his last rejection, he has been to a European country (2019) for a training related to his job that helped with his last promotion just like the one he wants to go for now that will help with the promotion he is due for at the end of the year. He also just to renewed his UK visa
Please your advice will be really appreciated |

Hello everyone,
Please does anyone know anything about birthing recently in Maryland? I went through pages and pages on this platform and got pretty good information but some of them Are far back as 2014,2017 etc. Please does it still take as long as 2 months to get birth certificate in Maryland? What are the cheapest hospital rates for Maryland in recent times? Is Virginia better In terms of cheaper hospitals and timing of collection of birth certificate?
What’s the average time to get the US passport now with all this COVID buhaha |

Coriander45351: Hello gurus in the house, i have an enquiry. I have a valid B2 visa but my due date is 2weeks after my visa's expiry date. Is it possible to still use this visa for birthing and hope the POE stamps me in for 6months. Do i risk getting banned for future visa applications by following this route if i am leaving the US after the expiry of my visa but before the expiry of my POE Stamped in date. Help a sister with valid information please. I’m assuming you got this visa before the ban then. I think you are fine. You can even declare because you got the medical visa before the ban. I’d use the visa if I were you, denials are not funny at the embassy now. Plus you can only renew 3 months before your visa expires. You’d be showing by then. You can stay in after your visa expires if you are stamped in for long. I’d even advice if asked at POE when your due date is you should say it’s before your visa expires, if they see you gave birth after no biggie women give birth after their due date. This is just my advice. As for the visa renewal I wouldn’t worry, you had a B2 and you thought you’d give birth before it expires but baby came later. Plus when we get to that bridge, we’d cross it. |

Mrsonpoint: Hello..
I am planning to a B2 interview in early March for the purpose of birthing in April and I have decided to have my 2nd baby in USA..I gave birth to my first in USA but unfortunately when I renewed in Jan 2020,I was denied because I was told to sort it out with my hospital...The counsellor assumed I paid only 2k to birth without looking at my other documents because he said only the dr bill but I paid about 6k in total.
Anyways,I have called my hospital and they have written a letter stating no funds was gotten from government, insurance or any 3rd party, that I am a self paying patient and I paid in full.. They have also updated itemised bill.I have all my receipts showing the full cost of the delivery which cost about 6k
I will need advise and tips to guide in my interview prep in March...The main reason for me wanting to have my 2nd baby in the same hospital is because I had a bit of an emergency scenario with my son and it was handled very well by the doctor and Nurses so I feel very confident and Thanks to God too my son is doing good.
I have good travel record and work in a good organisation.
Please advice and tips from Gurus for my interview and how much do I need to have in my account..The cost is sponsored by my husband and i Please how did this go? |

flourishing247: They don't know na. LOL. I always laugh when people try to act smart. I do not know what they think the officers are typing when one is answering questions. Grocery list Everything you say is noted. That's why when some go for renewals their interview is very fast. They pull up your records and check for red flags. Hmmm. Please is there anyone who went recently and declared ? Cos I’m scared of not declaring and a little worried about declaring. What if one is told at the Poe that one cannot go in cos of the type of visa they are carrying What if they say it’s not a birthing visa? |

Slayyy001: Good day house ,pls I want to ask a vital question . So, the US consulate Lagos says B1/B2 will begin appearing for visa November 30. So, I have a family friend who wants to do his wedding and wants to invite about 10 person( list is complete).
Can he still write to the embassy to notify them of the invite and the number of persons he’s inviting or what’s the best way ? Cos he doesn’t wana waste time if they are not granting interview for b1/b2 till November 30?
Ur opinion will be appreciated .. thanks That’s November 30 2020. Last year.... |

Alphahauk: Hello everyone. pls I need advice, I just got invited to USA for my elder brother wedding and I would be playing the roll as the best man for the upcoming wedding. I wrote my final year exams in 2019 November but still yet to collect my statement of result due to closure of schools and COVID-19. I contacted the school and they told me that what I can get is Attestation letter from my department. My dad is going to be my sponsor for this trip.
Is there a chance? Yes they should state that you are in final year And you will be returning to complete your education after the trip. Final year is a tie. Its rare to see someone abandon final year versus someone who just started. I know there’s nothing Musa no Dey see for gate lol but to the eye of the VO sha final year is a strong tie. This is just my opinion. |

Ozzy15: Please I need an urgent response to my questions.
In 2018, I filled my visa form where I stated I had no relative in the US ,and was granted visa to attend a conference which I did. Early last year I purchased a ticket wanting to vacation at stay with a distant cousin ,then covid happened and I haven't been able to travel.
My visa expired late last year and I've paid for another visa and used my email to login ,I got October date for interview, but I haven't filled my DS-160form yet.
My questions are :should I maintain in my form that I don't have a relative in US or should I tick yes .
In the part where it states name of contact in US ,should I also fill in the details of my distant cousin or just use a hotel in peace.
Lastly should I also use a hotel address as where I'd be staying or use my cousins address which is actually where I intend staying. Please leave your cousin out of it. She’s not even an immediate relative. You never filled the cousin in your Ds 160 form In the past did you ? If no , please leave cousin out of it. Don’t reduce your chances |

myke1975: Hello good people in the house ,I need ur advice on this,is it true that the higher the hospital Bill the better is the chances of getting visa
The hospital I saw in Chicago told me that for my wife to have her baby is going to cost us $60,000.00 for the total package,is this not too much? This is way too much. If you read backwards on this platform you will see so many hospitals for way cheaper. |

My visa expires on 20th of this month but when I tried to do a dummy reschedule I wasn’t seeing the date of the closest appointment. I wanted to be sure there was a close date before I pay and I see November. Started the process in January, did the booking in February and my interview was early this week. I had someone sit at the computer and look for dates for me, we noticed Monday’s and Wednesday’s used to have date. So she just sat there and looked for date for me. I was also checking too. I gave her something in the end sha. |
