Janosky: Is Bill Mounce God’s mouth piece. That was his opinion. Jesus is the express image of God. If you want to see God in physical form, look at Jesus. The Father does nothing apart from Jesus and Jesus does only what he sees his Father do. They are separate persons but one in purpose. Their thoughts are wired together. The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is the good news about the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. And how through faith in this resurrection, salvation is available for all mankind. The scripture says; Romans 10:9-10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. This is the gospel preached by the early church. See examples below: 1. Apostle Peter First Preaching After the Holy Ghost Baptism. Acts 2:29-32 29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. note 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 THIS JESUS HATH GOD RAISED UP, whereof we all are witnesses. Notice, verse 33. The emphasis is on the resurrection of Christ from the dead. 2. Apostle Peter’s Message to the House of Cornelius Acts 10:38-41 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: 40 HIM GOD RAISED UP THE THIRD DAY, and shewed him openly; 41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him AFTER HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD. 3. Philip the Evangelist Acts 8:5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. What did Philip preach? He preached Christ. 4. Apostle Paul After His Conversion Acts 9:18-20 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. 19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. 20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. What did Paul preach? He preached Christ. What did he preach about Christ? Acts 17:2-3 2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, AND RISEN AGAIN FROM THE DEAD; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ. I could go on and on with more evidence. But Jehovah Witness don't preach Christ. Rather, they oppose the message of the gospel. Three things they teach that opposes the message of Christ are; 1. That Jesus didn't rise from the dead bodily. This is false teaching. It's contrary to what the scripture teaches. Jesus rose from the dead bodily. They saw him, they touched him and he ate with them. He even told Thomas, "I am not a spirit. I have flesh and bones" - Luke 24:39. 2. They teach salvation is by works. But the scripture teaches that we are saved by grace: Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast. 3. They teach that hell as a place of torment for lost souls doesn't exist. But Jesus taught us that such place exist. The story of the rich man and Lazarus is one of many examples. Luke 16:19-31. They debunk this calling it a parable. It's madness for our Lord Jesus to use what is not real to make a parable. But it's not a parable. In parable, you don’t mention actual names or characters. Please, if you are a member of Jehovah Witness, leave that anti Christ organisation and embrace Christ. If you are not a member, please, don't ever contemplate to become one. Nigeria is a very rich and blessed country. We just have wrong leaders, wrong policies. It's a shame that we can't get our refineries to work. It's wrong to keep selling our crude oil in dollars. Naira will continue to go down with this policy in place. It's a shame we still import try circles and many other things we can produce to boost our economy. It's a shame |

He existed before the world began. See the statements he made in this regard; John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee BEFORE THE WORLD WAS. The NET puts it this way; John 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory I had with you BEFORE THE WORLD WAS CREATED. This is why he also said; John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. He taught clearly about the reality of hell which your wicked anti Christ organisation denied. He said he is coming back but you said he isn't coming back. In fact, you said he has already come back. What more can I say. Your founder is an agent of darkness who opposes virtually every truth of God's word. It's quite unfortunate that in this age of enlightenment, millions can be deceived to believe the lies of Jehovah Witness organisation. One of such lies is that Jesus didn't rise from the dead with his body. I know some of their new members are not aware of this teachings. But I have my evidence from their own book. See it below; FLESHLY BODY NOT TAKEN TO HEAVEN However, many persons believe that Christ took his fleshly body to heaven. They point to the fact that when Christ was raised from the dead, his fleshly body was no longer in the tomb. (Mark 16:5-7) Also, after his death Jesus appeared to his disciples in a fleshly body to show them that he was alive. Once He even had the apostle Thomas put his hand into the hole in His side so that Thomas would believe that He had actually been resurrected. (John 2k24-27) Does this not prove that Christ was raised alive in the same body in which he was put to death? No, it does not. The Bible is very clear when it says: "Christ died once for all time put to in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit." (1 Peter 3:18) Humans with flesh-and-blood bodies cannot live in heaven. Of the resurrection to heavenly life, the Bible says: "It is sown a physical body, it is raised up a spiritual body. . . flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom." (1 Corinthians 1544-50) Only spirit persons with spiritual bodies can live in heaven. Well, then, what happened to Jesus' fleshly body? Did not the disciples find his tomb empty? They did, because God removed Jesus' body. Why did God do this? It fulfilled what had been written in the Bible. (Psalm 16:lO; Acts 2:31) Thus Jehovah saw fit to remove Jesus' body, even as he had done before with Moses' body. @euteronomy 34:5, 6) Also, if the body had been left in the tomb, Jesus' disciples could not have understood that he had been raised from the dead, since at that, time they did not fully appreciate spiritual things. Aemmyjah: I never said Jesus never took back his physical body. He rose up from the dead with his body but it was transformed into a glorious body. Scriptures should never be interpreted in isolation. You must consult with other passages that addresses the same issue. Evidence of the scripture that shows that Jesus rose up with his body; 1. He said it before it happened. John 2:19-21. 19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. (Compare) 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the TEMPLE OF HIS BODY. This passage is enough to debunk your lies. But let's continue; 2. The tomb was empty. If Jesus didn't rise from the dead with his body, they would have seen it in the tomb. To assert that God took his body is calling God a fraudster. But your organisation which opposes every truth in the Bible is the fraudster. You don't have a single scripture evidence for that. 3. Jesus himself told Thomas he is not a spirit. He said, come and touch me. I have flesh and bones; Luke 24:38 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; FOR A SPIRIT HATH NOT FLESH AND BONES, AS YE SEE ME HAVE. Notice, he didn't say, flesh and blood which is the earthly body. He said, flesh and bones. This is the glorified body. It is not sustained by blood but by the Spirit of God. This is what the scripture meant when it said; 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. You misinterprete the verse above as though it says that Jesus was raised as a spirit. It said he was made alive by the power of the Holy Spirit. 4. Apostle Paul wrote; Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned LIKE UNTO HIS GLORIOUS BODY, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. The passage above acknowledges that Jesus has a body but it's a glorious one. And our bodies will also be transformed like unto his glorious body. 1 Like |
