please has anyone sent something to Germany (uni assist or school) recently with DHL...how much did it cost?
Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by kenan619: 10:22pm On Apr 20, 2022
Depends on what part of Germany you are going to, turkish airline is your best option, you can book after your visa is approved
amEmmy:
Please for german visa, is it compulsory to reserve ticket b4 the Interview with proposed dates and which airline could I use to reserve my flight please
Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by kenan619: 2:18am On May 19, 2021
what that page is simply saying is that if you want to study in Germany and you have admission in Germany, apply to the German embassy/consulate in poland(warsaw) if you have a valid resident permit for poland or... send a mail to the Auslander(foreign office in bonn) asking them if you can apply for a permit ...
Vlibray:

You too much bro
I am in Poland right now and I just read that it’s possible to enter Germany then apply for a German resident permit
So I want to know if it’s possible someone in Bonn confirms for me

it's only in Nigeria, in western countries... everybody get tatoo
4dStreet:
Yeah,
people with vsible tattoo are seen unprofessional in their work place and may even limit one's attribute to a potential career unless he or she is in the entertainment sector.
Meanwhile
Leviticus 19:28—"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you"—so as to prohibit tattoos,

you think sey na only naija dey come DE, We had a virtual summer semester, very high possibility of a virtual winter semester too,you can attend your lectures anywhere, when you have your Visa, come and write exams, german education system is flexible .....you register for only exams you feel you are ready to write ... corona has relatively been contained, i have written physical exams this semester
Ykhgu1:
On the Flip side the Universitäts can decide to cancel Summer 2021 semester. To enable them clear the back og. Then inform Consulate to interview Forigne students so that they can relocate to Deutschland between now and the Winter semester exams period. Or to interview and issue Visa to Forigne students whose country has open air space.

So that all of us are given between now and next year August to relocate to Deutschland. Then no application is accepted for Summer 2021that way they sacrifice Summer 2021to Covid19.

you think Germany is nigeria, they are only interested in you knowing the procedure, this semester I have 2 calc courses, 1 says dont bring calculator, I am not interested in final answer, the other says, the formulary applied is more important than figures to him
kumkumtins1:

Baba you once mentioned that you did you bachelors in mechanical engineering in deutschland. Did you have any oral exams? And if you did, how was it/they. I'm going for my masters in electrical engineering and information technology and virtually all my exams are oral and I can't seem to reconcile how calculation based courses can be graded in a 30mins oral exam. Can you give me an example of how such exams typically are, like their questions and stuff like that.

the main challenge with getting a job here is Language, , UK is too expensive, the city in which I study , I can survive on €600 per month, that's 14k, that 17k in uk is minus living cost, just tuition
faithzy:
If you already have 10k euros for Germany, my advice, hustle from now to August to raise extra 7k, then try UK, atleast by then your sure of 2 years post work visa

i just want to give my opinion on this issue of reading through pages, i think if you are really determined to go to Germany its wise to read through two application periods(summer and winter) to understand how the application works, personally i read from part 5 and it was worth it, makes life easy for everyone, of course changes may come up from policy changes from the consulate, the first page of every long Topic on Nairaland answers a lot of questions for newbies...please if you can read 2 parts

Same Lady that interviewed me, she was nice, same questions, she was suprised when i showed dat i had funded 10425 , asked me when i funded, she also asked me to shout too, overall it went well
Glauben:

Hello guys, I had my interview at the German embassy yesterday & it was largely uneventful. Got to the embassy just after 6, was told to come back around 6:30 since my appointment was for 7am. I went to the park, some of those guys tried to smooth talk me but I just smiled & told them I had everything I needed. Killed some time at the park & went back to the embassy around 6:35 or thereabout.

I wasn't surprised to meet a couple of people on the queue already, and Paulinus started callling docs for 3 or so student visa applicants. There was this fair lady that incurred the 'wrath' of Paulinus, though she really didn't have a problem as I made her understand later on. Paulinus asked for Confirmation of Blocked account opening whether you have funded or not. This lady told him she had funded but had the confirmation in her email! Na there gbege start so. She was sent to the back & wanted to go look for somewhere to print the confirmation.

Na long story sha, but I noticed she had the Make the transfer doc, and told her that was enough to get her in even though she had funded already. She really didn't have to tell Paulinus she doesn't have the confirmation in her email. I told her I had the same doc & haven't funded, & i was pretty sure it won't be a problem. All she had to do was tell the VO she'd be sending the blocking confirmation after the interview.

When it got to my time, I arranged the docs with one other guy. Pretty straightforward if you ask me as long as you follow this thread & know what to expect.

Got inside, waited maybe 10 mins & was asked to enter cubicle 2. The VO was a young, dark lady with long braids. She was kinda casual with her approach & actually excused herself to go gist twice while she was asking basic questions & typing away on her pc. I was like, really? I sighted the the woman with the coloured dreadlocks inside too.

She didn't even signify when the interview proper started, the questions were the usual questions here, & she didn't even ask me half of the questions I was expecting. However she kept asking is that all? when I answered the few questions she asked me.

Now, the part that I really did not like was that there was no phone (or i didn't see one) from my own end of the partition. She practically expected me to shout, which I didn't like at all. I mean I can almost reach out & touch her if not for the glass partition & you expect me to shout like we are 10 meters apart? I didn't think that was good enough.

The last question she asked me was my plans after study, I answered her & she told me the interview was over. I'm not sure I even said thanks, just gently packed my stuff & left. Another odd thing was, she didn't verbally ask me about funding or advise me to fund immediately like I have read about for some VOs on here. Although, she gave me two other forms to fill which covers the issue of funding & the email it should be sent to.

That's pretty much about it. Good luck with everyone.

mail fintiba to give you a new blocking agreement.you can contact them on their website. i had a blocking agreement for 8829, but i mailed them and they changed it to 10425 for me
Metronimos:
Good afternoon and well done, everyone!

I had my interview on the 31st of July, sent my Blocking Confirmation of 8,604 on August 2, yet I got a mail yesterday requesting I send my blocking confirmation of the new 10,236 for my Visa to be processed (kindly find attached). I've resent the Blocking Confirmation though, and have had the new amount transferred as well but Fintiba is not giving me a new Blocking Confirmation to that effect, all I got is a new account statement reflecting the new amount.

Is there any other person experiencing this? What should I do?

This is the email I got:

Dear Sir/Madam,

In the above mentioned visa application, you are kindly asked to submit the following documents:

- proof of a funded blocked account with a monthly disposability of 853 € OR official German declaration of sponsorhip (“Verpflichtungserklärung”) for the purpose of studies given before the competent German authority

Please do so as soon as possible. Otherwise your application cannot be processed by the Aliens Authority in Bayreuth.

You may send the document in advance by E-Mail.

Sincerely yours,

b.o.

my Oga Nysc cert is not there oh, better go for your interview first
Onaco:
Good evening house and hearty congratulations to those who've gotten AM.
I have some few questions to ask and I look forward to clarifications

1) what is the maximum number of pages for the motivation letter needed for the interview?

2) should the motivation letter be written on a plain sheet or a full scape sheet? E get as my writing the be for plain sheet.

3) Should the last page of the International passport appear together with the data page? If no, is there a penalty if it does appear?

4) Coincidentally, my interview date fell on the the same date for my NYSC POP. Considering that the discharge cert is one of the documents required from those going for Masters, I'm quite confuse on the excuse to tender to Uncle Paulinus. I need your advice please.
