So many myths going on here. Someone last month said that all July and August applicants will receive a decision in early November. The truth is, nobody but CIC itself is privy to such information. Anybody who profers solution as to when an application will be decided based on a reliable source, is only speculating. CIC does not disclose such information to anybody, not even to an MP. The second myth going on now is that CIC website has crashed. I really don't think this is true. This is the 21st century. A Canadian government website crashing? Even if it crashed, is giving everyone that applied a TRV a sensible way of response? Ordering everyone that applied to submit their application again with no application fees would be the sensible response. That they have not done so tells me crashed website is not the problem, but a matter of backlog spilling from fall the most busiest season that London encountered. Now applications since late September and October and now are been channelled to less busy Kenya to allow London do background check and finish processing it's backlog. This is what makes sense.

Sometimes I am inclined to believe there is something fundamentally wrong with CIC's database for June through to August applicants.....it's so weird to hold applications this long........probably, the database crashed and they are still trying to recover the data. Even CIC customer service support in charge of responding to webpage and emails are already frustrated and are in recent times, venting their frustrations on helpless applicants.

i thought about this too...nobody cares they should work harder and make whatever decision and stop wasting people time.

Guy, dont you think you venting too much..............there are all calibres of persons on this thread.........the young fresh leavers of high school, fresh graduates with no experience, and the advanced category.

Whist some questions are typically lame and unnecessary, silence will be the best answer. Some people are truly naive; while others are really ignorant and lazy.

However, hostile remarks seems like transferring aggression of delayed approval to both the naive, the ignorant and the lazy ones.

Note: this is not a list of fall/winter applicants. It is strictly a list study permit applicants who have responded to and given
their profiles to help establish a timeline as to how CIC operates. Based on the analysis of the data, it is holding true
that biometrics is often requested within 24 hrs to 2 days after transmission for online applicants; review of eligibility is started within 8-10 weeks, medical call between 10-12 weeks and decision dished out within 12-14 weeks. Paper Application it seems is significantly faster than online application. As usual, there are outliers to this average. We shall get madame @Goinforward when she gets back online, to come and pray and reach out to the throne of grace on behalf of all applicants. For all the applicants listed below who were so generous in sharing their profiles, we say a special thank you and more grace. It shall surely end in praise!!

Looking at the profiles of people getting approved without SOP, at least two or more of the following are common.

- First Class
- Top School
- UK, USA, Dubai, Canada Visa
- Very strong financial background. People with cool millions to their names.

We all know the grounds of Visa application refusal. The four above arguably answers ALL the conditions.

If you are unsure of your case, don’t play yourself. Please add whatever you think you need to to have a very strong case.

Lol, not fire-proof, bulletproof!! People are approved all the time with no SOP. This isn’t the second time. In fact it is a trend by now that some smart person looking to be approved, might just not even include SOP in their next application. It’s like the VOs attribute no SOP submission as a sign of non desperation.

First the email reads “All Applicants”, Second, there are people who received the email and have been greeted by the “you have not been shortlisted” message, Thirdly, there are also those who didn’t receive the email but have been able to log in. So how do we reconcile all this. Wouldn’t it just be easier and more tidy for them to put out a statement on their website stating the correct position of things.
