You would rate others you listed over The Green Mile?

No naaa. Check am
I'm rating them based on how much entertained I got watching them.
It's personal.
I felt the Green mile was unnecessarily long and should have been cut into half the time and more focus on the actual story.
Spent too time meandering before getting to the main story

wc 18 participants were chosen through the group winners of the qualifiers. You seem to forget that even salah could not pass the final round of WC 22 qualifiers against Senegal. Abeg park this narrative enter bush.
Of course. Senegal are the best team in Africa while Egypt apart from Salah have no one else.
Salah is basically the one dragging them through.
I wasn't comparing anyway cause Salah and Osimhen shouldn't even be put in the same conversation.

Salah took Egypt to the WC 18 since 1990.
Osimhen had the chance but couldn't do so at home against a weak Ghana

If Owngoal speculation is anything to go by, then our starting lineup today will be:

Uzoho

Osayi/Aina
Ekong
Ajayi
Bassey

Onyedika
Aribo
Iwobi

Chukwueze
Lookman
Osimhen
That midfield is terrible

Saturnalia:
Robert De Niro is one of my all-time greatest actors.

I first came across this 80-year-old brilliant actor around 1994 when I watched “Goodfellas - 1990”. I no go lie, I could barely comprehend the movie because it wasn’t subtitled until I watched it again in 1999.

Over the years, I have watched a lot of De Niro movies, but tonight, I leave you with the ones that I can never get tired of watching over & over again.

1.) Goodfellas 1990 - 9/10

“I’m like Paulie in Goodfellas, you can call me the Don”.

I am not exaggerating, I have never seen anybody that watched this movie and didn’t like it.

This movie is one of the reasons I adore Martin Scorsese. This movie sweet gidi-gan.

2.) Heat 1995 - 8/10

When I was in Primary School, my friends and I used to play this game called “Police & Thieves”. I always enjoyed being a thief because the Police would be chasing after us and it’s kinda invigorating.

Now, this movie depicts what I just described above. If you enjoy watching “Police & Thieves” movies, trust me, you won’t regret watching this movie.

In fact, this movie is rated the BEST “Cops and Robbers” movie of all time.

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls062929984/

Another Cops & Robbers movie that I love so much is “The Usual Suspects - 1995, closely followed by “Training Day - 2001”.

3.) Analyze This 1999 - 8/10

This movie is like a comedy and not exceptionally good but I so much enjoy watching it. Its sequel “Analyze That - 2002” isn’t that bad as well.

4.) Casino 1995 - 9.5/10

Another masterpiece from Martin Scorsese.

Gentlemen, this is “my own” best Robert De Niro movie of all time.

In all the movies I keep in my archive, this movie is among my BEST TOP 5.

THIS MOVIE SWEET DIE!

Notable Mention:

1.) The Irishman 2019 - 8.5/10

I am not happy tonight because I lost someone (who is not a family member) that once touched my life in a positive way, and funnily enough, I have been moody all day.

I bought a bottle of beer, it took me almost an hour to finish it.

I tried watching a movie, I just couldn’t concentrate.

Now, I am just lying down on my bed, fiddling with my phone, hoping sleep will come soonest.

Anyways, goodnight!
You left out his two most popular movies...
Taxi driver(1976) and Raging Bull (1980)

I think realistically we can qualify and do very well at the WC, and of course, that's with a new well seasoned coach..

In other worlds,Osimhen is a static 9,Halland also,Lewandoski and Kane probably?
And clubs won break bank to buy them?
Kane is pretty creative, but even Spurs are doing better without him.
And Kane is arguably the best striker on the planet.
A fluid interchanging Frontline has proven to be more beneficial in the modern game than having a classic no 9 who doesn't contribute in build up and doesn't press enough.
This is why dynamic strikers like Suarez or Benzema are gold.
It doesn't matter if that striker is world class, team always comes first.

Napoli doing very well without Osimhen.
Once again proving that the modern football are moving past the static no 9.

Straight Fight between Osimhen and Sallah.

Both played starring roles for club and country.

Mane should have easily won it if he hadnt made that Bayern move. he played a crucial role to senegal been champions of africa.

Before the WC he wasn't even amongst the frontrunners.
Salah, Messi, Ronaldo were the three main favorites..
His performances at the WC propelled him to win that award

No one can honestly say Messi was the best player in the last 12 months . A 7 game tournament is not the only football that was played in the past 12 months ... If they say it's all about the world cup, how come mbappe dint finish second ... Mbappe had a better tournament than Messi....was top scorer with 8goals ( 2 penalties included) ... anyone that understands this game knows its all propaganda...

2010 Spain won their first ever world cup , they dint remember that it was all about the world cup . They still gave it to Messi, saying he won la liga and was top scorer in Europe and champions league ... 12 yrs later , halaand wins mancitys first ever treble , top scorer in the league with a new record , top scorer in champions league, top scorer in Europe and they still give Messi that PSG fans booed out of France for failing to help the team pass round of 16 in CL....

As someone rightly said, if halaand won the world cup and Messi won the champions league and ligue1 with psg and was top scorer in both competitions, they will still give Messi...

Fifa and the balon dor are just Messi lickers .... no football player in history has ever received 10% pampering Messi has received in his career ...

Suddenly winning the world cup gets u the balon dor... but it dint in 2010, 2014 and 2018... Messi wins the WC and it becomes a criteria again... if u condemn INEC and support this nonsense award , then u are a certified hypocrite
Modric won in 2018 off the back of an excellent WC campaign

The same pundits who said Guardiola can't translate his success to English football and now he's changed football.
grin
You see why I can't take such pundits serious, they are never stable, always repeating cliches and without offering any substantial insight.
If Pep changed English football then how many teams in the PL play Pep's football.
To play that kind of football u need to have an open chequebook.
Even Pep can't play Pep's football without spending billions

I never said he brought it though.
I said he popularized it which is normal cause when something is successful people will want to copy such.
