Music/Radio / Is Olamide The Most Loved Rapper In Nigeria??? by kenlash1(m): 9:35am On Oct 21, 2014
I Luv rap/hiphop music and I believe in d abilities of nigerian rap artist. Going by releases that pop out from nigerian rap artist we can say that nigerian rap is going somewhere. With the likes of olamide, phyno, illbliss, vector, phenom, ice prince, MI (even though he has done Lil of late) just to mention a few , we can tentatively say naija rappers are gud.
Now my question is; who is Nigeria most luvd rapper based on street credibility, versatility, punchlines, stage performance, delivery of hits . I think Olamide takes dis title hands down. What do you guys think?

Education / Re: The Use Of 'i Was Like Ok' By Nigerian Students by kenlash1(m): 3:38pm On Oct 15, 2014
**************************************
Keenysbojan:
I have been wondering why Nigerian students always use the word 'i was like ok' in every of their saying... I found it difficult to believe that 'i was like ok' is a correct short sentence, in English...

because I have sat down and think about this all over and over and over, and through research I found that there is no short sentence in English, like 'i was like ok'.. but some Nigerians are so terrible when it comes to the aspects of speaking or writing standard English...

A student of unilorin came to meet my big bro at home, and he said I have been trying your number since I left Lagos and I WAS LIKE OK LET ME CALL YOUR YOUNGER BROTHER TO CONFIRM..

immediately,I felt the 'spirit of bad English' in what he said above... since then I have been searching,I have been asking those who are highly educated and those who study English in universities.. if the use of I WAS LIKE OK is good to speak..

to nairelanders do any of you have anything to say about this topic... share your own points of view and let some 'BAD English speaker(s)' learn from you.. thanks

Yours Faithfully
k e e n y s b o j a n
wen u finally decide to speak gud English den I can listen to ur corrections. Check d bolded

TeamSimple: I know she's female, but her name I don't know, what she does being a local govt chairman is unknown. Am nat trying to be gender bias, but with the kind of egaliterian society we run in Nigeria,a female office holder is not what we need. Or apart from late Dore Akunyili rip which contemporary female office holder has performed exceptionally well?
a thief is a thief male or female, they are all there for the money.

crispgg: Why don't you visit the Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Ibadan? If apples can be grown here I'm sure they will know about it.

Also, I'm aware that there is an area called Gembu in Taraba or Adamawa state where some Nigerian big men have apple farms. Heard that the place is cooler than Jos and they do experience snowfall some years.
true talk gembu is colder than jos and its in taraba state, I believe if dey can try it in jos , it ll thrive in gembu cos d weather, the soil, is gud for farming. Dnt knw about some big men apple farm but I knw some of d nigerian top shots ve properties there

I think the arrangement the pdp has is that anybody tHat contests dis coming election won't vie next year so ribadu wanting to vie next year is d reason he was dropped.

I also think ribadu in pdp is a bad move, not well played cos I dnt see dem giving him d ticket next year. Pdp don't honor promises and ribadu bn on d seat wld cause dem problem cos he has a nack for not bn loyal
