Governor Oshiomhole is angry and very bitter towards President Jonathan for ignoring Edo state and its people, by depriving them of what he call their right.

While receiving former Minister of State for Works and PDP Chieftain, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi who just decamped to APC and 2000 of his followers at the traditional Urhokpota Ground in Benin yesterday,
Oshiomhole openly poured out his anger, saying PDP has done more harm than good in the state and the country as a whole. His exact words after the cut.

“What is buried in the name of PDP can never resurrect because the Bible says, he who die in sin shall perish and languish in hell. And because PDP died in sin, they killed, they embezzled our money, they dehumanized our people, they enveloped Benin with flood, converted our young one to prostitution and reduced Edo from the heart beat to a part of the country that was now remember only by reference to very negative headlines.

“ It will take PDP more than a hundred years to pay reparation to Edo people. If anybody imagine what has happened in this state for six years, then you can better calculate how much they stole from the treasury of this state and how many miles they set us
backwards in terms of where we are supposed to be.

And that is why when the President came here to say that Edo will fall, I said well who is speaking. Can a man who is on the ground speak to a man who is on his feet?

“ PDP has already been fallen and buried in Edo state many many years ago. Yes in the last election we asked our people to vote on the basic of certain sentiments, and the PDP at the Presidential level won 95 per cent of the votes. But now Edo people are asking, what do we have to show for it. The erosion
caused by PDP at Queen Ede has destroyed the schools built for Edo child. That erosion is destroying the Catholic Church, it has destroyed several houses, killed many of our people.

“ Federal PDP shared money to PDP states
including states where the President lost election, they did not give one dim to the people of Edo state. Our crime because we voted wrongly. In Auchi, erosion have swept away more than 50 per cent of the houses and swept away others, they shared the ecology money they gave no dim to the people of Auchi. In Esan Central and West, erosion has destroyed a number of communities, PDP produced leaders in Esan land they did not bring one dime to deal with erosion in Esan land, but they gave money to Delta, they gave money to Bayelsa, they gave money to Cross River, they gave money to Niger, Jigawa, Kaduna and others.

“ What is our offence because we voted wrongly? So when we say APC, Change PDP, Change Jonathan it is informed by evidence. We must change both the party and the driver. PDP has failed for sixteen years they should leave.

“And let me be very specific, if we had not removed PDP in Edo we wold not have experienced the change we are seeing today in Edo. If we remove PDP from Abuja the way we removed them from Edo we will
have power, universities will not be closing for six months, they will not be distributing SURE-P through PDP leaders, they will not be devaluing the currency and they will not be acting like small gods” he stressed.

A10-year-old boy, Usen Okon, who was thrown into the Imo River in the Ikot Abasi area of Akwa Ibom State, over witchcraft accusation, has survived the ordeal.

The Senior Project Manager of the Humanist Association for Peace and Social Tolerance Advancement, Mr.Ayobami Ojedokun, told Punch in Uyo on Tuesday that Okon was under the care of his paternal aunt, identified simply as Ekaeyen, at Etebi community in the Esit Eket Local Government Area of the state as his parents had died.

He said a few days ago, Okon was aroused from sleep by Ekaeyen who took him to her husband and asked him to confess to being a wizard.

He added that when Okon denied the witchcraft accusation, his aunt threatened to throw him into a river.

Ojedokun said Ekaeyen, true to her words, on November 16, took Okon to the Imo River and threw him into the water with the hope that he would drown.

“She actually threw Okon into Imo River thinking that the boy would drown. The boy came out of the water alive and went to their home, only to be told that her auntie had relocated,” Ojedokun said.

The acting Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State Police Command, Mr. Iboro Victor, said he was not aware of the incident.

“The incident is not to my knowledge right now,” he said.

The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the public that in response to two separate distress calls, nine cultists were arrested. On 24/11/2014 at about 02:00AM a distress call indicated planned battle of supremacy between De-Well and Degbam
cults groups at Okwuzi Community in Onelga.

The clash was averted by the swift action of the police where seven suspects were arrested. They are Chinazo Amaechi, Nna Chisom, Solomon Ossai, Regimus Igwelatu, Monday Jackson, Chinonso Fordima and
Tony Amanya while others fled.

Items recovered from them included one pump action gun, four live cartridges, one double barrel gun, Honda jeep with registration No. IMO WER 685 FX, Toyota
Camry saloon with registration No. RIVERS BER 407 AP, two laptop computers and assorted charms. The suspects on interrogation confessed to belonging
to either of the groups. In a similar response same day at about 1:30PM information received had it that some suspected cultist were sighted with arms around back gate of Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt (RSUST) initiating new members. Team of policemen Storm the area arrested and Joel Ozekume, a final year student of RSUST and Princewill Brown, a graduate of Cross River State University while others escaped. One beretta pistol and 3 rounds of .9mm ammunition were recovered from them.

The Command wishes to use this medium to warn criminals and their alike to denounce or be ready to face tough time as the Command is fully ready to take the aggressive onslaught to their enclaves. The
Command equally wishes to assure people of its readiness of sustained instant response to distress calls within shortest possible time while members of the public are urged to security conscious and report any character or move capable of undermining the existing public peace and security, please.
