It is apparent that many institutions have released their admission lists for the 2014/2015 academic session. This is a huge indication that the 2014/2015 admission year is coming to an end. We at Gistblaze.Com felt compelled to inform and advise in that regard all 2014/2015 prospective students who have not been offered admission but for one reason or the other are expecting or hoping their names would appear in subsequent admission lists of their choice institutions for 2014/2015 session. The bitter truth is that these institutions may no longer release additional admission lists for 2014/2015 academic session. We are not implying that you should give up on your expectations. However, we advise all 2014/2015 prospective candidates who are yet to gain admission to save themselves from further heart break by purchasing the 2015/2016 JAMB UTME form which is currently on sale. If your choice institution eventually offers you admission, there will be nothing much to lose than forfeiting the JAMB Form you Purchased. Please don’t make the mistake of missing the 2015/2016 Admission year because you waited so long to accept the fact that 2014/2015 admission year has not favoured you. The sales of JAMB UTME form for 2015/2016 will close January 19th, 2015. Make hay now while the sun is still shining. http://gistblaze.com/2014/12/18/no-admission-given-yet-heres-what-to-do-next/ |

Nigeria's Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has presented the 2015 budget estimate to be about N4.3trillion before the National Assembly. The presentation which was very brief and devoid of speeches, was done separately before the Senate and the House of Representatives. There was no joint sitting of the two chambers which has been the tradition for budget presentations. Other Ministers as well as the Director-General, Budget Office of the Federation, Dr. Bright Okogu were present at the budget ceremony. http://gistblaze.com/2014/12/17/minister-of-finance-presents-2015-budget-to-national-assembly/ |

A look at 32 year-old Sani Saidu , will never pass him for a betrayer, let alone a killer , owing to his quiet disposition and soft way of speaking. But his disposition has only proved to be deceptive after all , as he is currently cooling his heels at the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department ,SCID, Yaba , Lagos, over a case of alleged murder. https://dvsl3w2q45hb8.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Sani-Saidu.jpg Sani Saidu The Gombe state born suspect allegedly stabbed one Mr Shittu Aremu, driver of a truck to death while accompanying him to Port Harcourt, Rivers state, destination of the 40,000 litre of petroleum product . The late Aremu whose age was put around 56 years, was a driver to S.K Transport Service Nigeria Limited . He reportedly loaded the truck with plate number AGL 368 XA with aviation fuel worth N5.5 million and consequently left Lagos for Port Harcourt on November 13, 2014, to discharge the product. But before leaving Lagos State, he was said to have invited Saidu to work with him as his motor boy, with a promise to pay him an undisclosed amount at the end of the trip. But little did he realize that the invitation would end his life. The first sign that signalled an unpalatable situation for the truck driver, followed difficulty by his employee to reach him on his mobile phone, two days after he embarked on the journey. Further checks from the tracking device on the truck reportedly showed that the truck had been diverted from its original route to somewhere around Mutum Biu, in Taraba state. Suspecting that the driver had a sinister motive up his sleeve ,the company reportedly lodged a complaint at the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID, Yaba, where detectives swung into action by travelling to Taraba state. Fortunately for them, the truck was recovered at the Taraba state Police Command, with only Saidu, the motorboy. I stabbed him, threw him out of the truck Preliminary investigation as gathered , revealed that Saidu allegedly murdered the truck driver before diverting the truck to the northern part of the country. In this interview, Saidu gave a graphic description of how he stabbed his master with a knife and threw him out of the truck , before taking over the steering.. Asked what made him carry out such dastardly act, Saidu replied : “ I killed Mr Aremu because I wanted to sell the aviation fuel and use the money to travel to Dubai on a business trip” Narrating how he snuffed life out of Aremu whom he fondly called baba Oyo, , Saidu said: “ A day after we left Lagos, at about 6pm, the company called baba Oyo and instructed him to park at Umunede, Delta state for security reason and that he should proceed on the journey the following day. While there , I bought a knife without him knowing and tied it with a rope on my leg. Very early the third day, baba Oyo started the ignition to continue the journey. As he was about to move, I told him that one of the tyres had developed a fault. I came out of the vehicle and pretended to be checking the tyres. I went to his side of the truck, bent down as if checking the tyres and in the process, I brought out my knife. But as I raised my hand to stab him, he held my hand and we started struggling, in the process of which the knife cut me on the index finger. I succeeded in stabbing him first on the lap and blood started gushing out. Again, I stabbed him again in the stomach, leaving the knife in there. By then he was too weak to shout. Thereafter, I pushed him out of the vehicle and mounted the driver’s seat and zoomed off. Diverts truck to the north My intention was to take the aviation fuel to Taraba state and sell it at the black market. When I got to Adamawa state, I sold four drums , at the rate of N28,000 per drum. On reaching Katsina Ala, the truck developed a fault and I ended up spending N57,000 to fix it. I continued the journey but on reaching Mutum Biu, I was stopped by some soldiers who were on a joint operation with the Police, at a check point. They demanded for the way bill and I showed them. But one of the policemen asked where the plate number was and I brought it out from where I kept it. I had earlier removed it because the company’s number was inscribed on it. When the policemen dialled the telephone number, they discovered that the vehicle was supposed to be heading for Port Harcourt. When they asked what it was doing at Taraba, I could not provide a ready answer and I was subsequently apprehended” I wanted to raise 150,000 The father of five whose family resides in Adamawa state further disclosed that “ I did what I did in order to raise N150,000 for a ticket to Dubai. A friend of mine who lives in Kano usually travels to Dubai to buy handsets and sell in Kano. He told me he would take me down if I could raise N150,000. That was why I did what I did. But with the look of things, it is obvious that I am in a big trouble and may never come out of from it for the rest of my life”, he stated remorsefully. Information at Crime Guard’s disposal revealed that operatives at the SCID would be leaving Lagos for Umunede in Delta state, to inspect the spot where the suspect claimed to have thrown Aremu’s body, with a view to ascertaining whether he is alive or not. Police sources however hinted that the driver’s seat of the recovered truck was stained with blood, adding that at the end of investigation, the suspect would be charged to court for murder and stealing. THE Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has urged Nigerians to vote for change in order to strengthen the nation’s economy and democracy, which he said the ruling Peoples Democratic Party had weakened since it took over leadership of the country in 1999. Oshiomhole, who spoke in Auchi, said that the ruling party had disappointed Nigerians, having failed to facilitate major infrastructural developments in power, education, health and other sectors. He said, “They have not fixed power. They have not fixed education. They have not fixed the health sector. They have not fixed the roads. They have dashed the expectation of the youths and they have polluted the political atmosphere and they have weakened the foundation of our national unity. “They have re-partitioned the country along religious divide and along ethnic divide. They have played brothers against brothers, sisters against sisters; they are buffeting us with primordial sentiments in place of issues of development and the country is weaker today than it was before.” Oshiomhole said that Nigerians needed people who fought to keep the nation together in order to “re-fix what PDP has broken.” He said, “Nigerians should vote for change, even PDP needs change, you can see the internal contradictions within the PDP is like a weak fabric; the more you patch it, the more it gets torn and after 16 years, even PDP will agree that they haven’t delivered on the promises of democracy.” He argued that the private sector had lost its vitality and that the country needed urgent revitalisation to check the high rate of unemployment. He also frowned at the state of the economy due to fallen oil price. “The private sector is dead and this is why you are not getting adverts for products. And you are not going to be able to create jobs if you do not revive the private sector; as you can see, even though between 1999 till date, the oil sector has performed better than it was in the previous 10 years,” Oshiomhole said. On the security challenges, he lamented that the Nigerian army, in spite of its successes in foreign assignments, had not met the expectations of the citizens in the fight against terrorism. The governor said, “All of a sudden, the Nigerian Army that is reputed all over the world to have fought and to be helping to secure neighbouring countries like Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Sudan and others when they witnessed internal crisis, now it is our turn to look inwards and we are told that our soldiers are running. “What has gone wrong? What has changed that we are no longer the giant? That we can’t even get arms to buy in official markets, we have to go underground? Are we under sanctions? By who and why? Why are we not earning respect? Why are we not trusted? “So, for me, even the PDP will recognise that they need time to go and rest so that they can ask themselves some soul searching questions; that how come that in 16 years we left the country weaker than we met it?” http://www.punchng.com/news/pdp-has-failed-nigerians-oshiomhole-says/ |

Never knew kissing had benefits...My girlfriend is in great trouble |
Desperation often takes over after a bad a break-up happens, especially for serious relationships. At those moments, there are 4 things you must never do. Love hurts. Yes it does. In fact, according to some people, true love hurts even more than casual romance. Sometimes, in the midst of all the hurt, we give up and the relationship is killed, with the good things it came with. In some unfortunate scenarios, one of the parties is still hoping for the romance to continue while the other one may have gone as far as getting someone new. Sad. When a break-up happens, especially for serious relationships, there is this desperation that befalls the hurt party. But like all things done in desperation, it sometimes leads to more problems. Anyway, here are 4 things Wha’anda things you should NEVER do after a break up: 1. Do not pine over old text messages. Ah, those old text messages are evil. You read them —the mushy moment messages, and your heart goes into frenzy. Best thing is to just either delete them (if you are sure there is no comeback) or try to ignore them. 2. Do not begin to listen to forlorn love songs like Akon’s sad ‘Lonely’ or Eamon’s butt-hurt ‘Bleep What I Said.’ It is best that you also avoid songs that tune up your emotions, soft like Enya’s beats or even Radiohead. The reasons is that these songs bring a rush of emotions that might make you cry your eyes out or do something much worse —like suicide! 3. Do not begin to stalk your ex on Facebook (Social media). Trust Wha’anda, the more you read about the person’s activities, the worse you’ll feel. You just might be unfortunate to read updates about you or learn that he or she is getting married. A status update or a tweet can crash your whole day. So stay off their social media profiles until you move on. 4. Do not stop loving. The easiest cure for a heart-hurt is falling in love again. See, staying alone for a zillion years will neither erase the sad event nor make you immune to the need for sex and love. Paid or random sex will also not be a good as sex inside a relationship, even if it will eventually crash. So you gotta go out there and get someone who appreciates you instead of crying over spilt milk while the person you are pining over is living the life. There you go…Stay in love and stay happy. |
