For someone who doesn't live in Abuja, it is cheaper to get a lawyer to do it on their behalf.
By the time you add:
1. transportation to and fro Abuja
2. hotel bills
3. food and snacks.

1-3 above will cost more than the lawyer's fees (which should not be more than 20k).

Mind you, this is based on my calculation.
Given that the prices for MOE, MFA & EMBASSY are fixed, s/he can do the maths based on the number of documents multiplied by the number of pages. Then add the lawyer's fees.
Good day Sir/ma, am a bit confused about this authentication process and would love you to lead me through it. I have the following questions for you about it.

1. Can it only be done in Abuja?
2. If yes, where exactly?
3. Now you're talking about using a lawyer to do it in Abuja, now will I have to send the originals of all my documents and photocopy to the person too? Am kinda scared of sending the original. Cos if it loss,....

Hello mates,
I applied to HTW in Berlin, Germany and got an admission to study MSc. Construction and Real Estate Management. However, it is an exchange program in which I have to spend my 1st & 2nd semester in Metropolia UAS, Helsinki, Myllypuro Campus and my 3rd & 4th semster in HTW Berlin.
Here are my worries; from my research, I learnt that since my point of first entry is Finland, I have to apply for visa through the Finland embassy. I have gone to read different articles online about the visa application/processes.
1. How do I prove my means of sustainability? Can I use a block account just like the Germany style or a Nigeria bank statement is sufficient?
2. I saw legalization of documents, how important is this and where and how can it be done? Which documents should be legalized?
3. When I checked the "https://visa.finland.eu/nigeria/Online-Application-form.html" for visa category, I could only see (research/training), does student visa falls under this category?
Hello, can we have a chat? I need to ask you some questions concerning what you posted here. Thank You.

Which would you choose bearing in mind you have a full time weekend job and some evening jobs twice a week. I'll tell you which I chose after I hear your responses

Random picture....underground tunnel. Usually leads to the other side of a very busy road
For me, I will take all three, it will stress tge hell out if me but trust me, on pay day I will forget the stress I went through for them. First, I will plane it in such a way that the classes will not collide wit each other. Plan may be Monday and Fiday for the first and then pan Tuesday and Thursday evenings for the second and since the 3rd one is only in the morning by 7, I can still attend every day of the week and move on. I no cone count bridges, I came for the money!. Goodluck WhyNa

@kennyyice Good day
Pls can u guide me on this passport processing.
I am in Abuja right now and I want to renew my passport. Somebody gave me immigration officer phone number, I called the woman this afternoon I asked her how much will she take from me to renew my passport. She said I should bring #35,000.
I can't offer such amount because of 32 pages renewal of passport.
Pls, can you guide me on how I can do it by myself?
I am waiting for your response.
Thanks
The truth is this, these immigration guys will rip you off your hard earned cash if you don't take out time to do things yourself. I will advise you to take out time to read this thread or go to there website to check for the infos you need. Trust me, it will save you a lot of money. I have not done renewal before, I just did a fresh passport and that it is. Info and documents needed for renewal is on their website. Just read it and pay inline then proceed to there office for capturing again.

God day house, I had my capturing done last week, was told to return today to collect it. Went there today at the Nigerian Immigration office Uyo for my international passport only to be told that I should return next week thursday for it. I was surprised cos I never expected it not to be ready only to discover that the man that captured also with me on the capturing day had his passport ready but mine was no where to ready, I got pissed called the attention of one of the attendant there only to be told to come along with the officer helping do it. When I told them that I did the whole process myself, she reluntantly told me to go call the person that I paid to online. Chai, E pain me I won't lie, but I just lock up and moved but i made sure I got the number of an officer in the collection centre to help me check and inform me prior to my coming on Thursday if my passport is ready. I feel like reporting them to there twitter handle about their rude and unprofessional attitude asking for money for every single thing and keeping my cool and want to give the woman a chance first. I feel my documents was dumped or put said cos I did it my self and not pay the fee an officer asked me to pay there before they proceed with my application. Should I reach out to their Twitter handler now or just wait till thursday?
Today has been really stressful and tiring, never planed to go get my international passport today but I did.

I thought about the whole thing again that happened on Friday and got pissed off about their delay then decided to tweet there handler on twitter to know how far if it is ready. Lo and behold after sending in the tweet containing my enrolment number and asking if it was ready I got a call from an officer their informing me that it is ready even snapped it and sent it to my number as proof that it was ready. He instructed me also to go back to twitter and delete my tweet to their handler and correct myself saying that I met the wrong officer when I went there on Friday. See ehn once I got there they were so quick to answer me and even give me my passport refering to me as the twitter boy also told me not to try it again. See if they are doing anyhow for you, just tweet their handler and the rest would be history. What I noticed was that it was ready on that friday and they just wanted to stress the hell out of me even tho I told them that I had to travel from one state to another for it on friday cos I did everything online.

Peace!

Please who has the phone number of ikoyi passport office. I did my son's passport during endsars but I'm yet to receive a text from them saying it is ready
Go to Twitter and tag their handler about it with your enrollment number, they will call you immediately and tell you if it is ready or not. Make sure you tell them the location of your application.

You can wait one more week. The print out shows passport will be out in one week but some officer strike it out and write two weeks speaking from what I experienced at Festac location, Lagos.

Call before going or give your details to their twitter handle to confirm its ready
Thank you

Hi, if I am applying to 3 schools in Norway (for example, NTNU, Uis, UiA) and they request that my Uni send my transcript hardcopy to them directly, does it means that I will order transcript 3 times from my UNI to cater for the 3 schools? (Haaaaaa shocked)...

I checked price for requesting a transcript from my school to Norway on etx.ng and it's #24300 as of today.... (Ha... gbese)

Just leaving the Ikoyi Passport Office. Paid on Saturday morning. I got there as early as 0720hrs but waited at the gate till we were called in at about 0800hrs. Instead of going to the long room as directed, I made way to the SERVICOM office (on my right). The yeye Officer I first met, Adelakun by name (popularly called Babalawo) checked my printed documents, asked who was helping me and where is my file. I said I'm DIY and knows no one, he asked me to come back for capturing on the 20th (capture date on my Form). I don't even know what to tell him despite telling him i received a Text msg to come. I wasn't discouraged and so I decided to go back to the Long room.

I sat there with many others with files thinking of what next to do then I sighted a high-ranking Oga like that (God bless Mr. Akpan for me). I approached him and sha began stories on how I didn't know anyone here and had to go online to DIY. He asked to see my form and after checking it out told me to go to SERVICOM. I told him my last encounter and how one officer asked me to come on 20th. He said I should go back and ask of the C.O Servicom (I don't know what the C.O stands for). I sha went and this time I met the young and Famous Officer Adamu (mentioned earlier by some people here). He looks willing to attend to me but since I mentioned to see the C.O Servicom, he directed me there and the C.O (Mr. Dipo or so) just checked my already printed documents and took me (together with a cool DIY dude I met there) to go meet Officer Adamu. Now, my confidence is doubled. Adamu checked and arranged our documents gave us a form to photocopy and fill. We did as advised and returned to him. He opened a file for us, signed and directed us where and where to go.

I captured and left at exactly 1020hrs. Officer Dipo asked us to check by Friday Morning for collection.

Conclusion, this DIY route is seemless and highly advisable. I'm glad I passed thru this route. All thanks to the earlier contributors.

NB. Dont forget to run if u see Officer Adelakun. Lol
