Flat, clean and attractive UI. Well done Elvis.

Please focus now on getting downloads that is what counts if you want to make money.

Good luck and all the best with your app.

Bad news is that getting download isn't the only way to make money off your app. How about let's say building a business.

Education / Re: 5 Reasons Why Nigerian Students Are Not Appreciative Of Nigerian Made Edu Apps by Kennyinusa(m): 4:55pm On Nov 12, 2015
nollyj:

I have reasons why I started this topic and beside I have talked with some Nigerian education mobile app developers and they acknowledge the existence of this problem.

Whenever a new foreign mobile app goes viral, Nigerians will join the trend and in some case, we will download the application even more than the country it originated from.

When it comes to Nigeria made app, most people will look in a different direction and some will try to bring the developers down.

From my personal experience, I recently develop a Chemistry Android App called Classic Chemistry (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=inducesmile.com.completeorganicchemistry). This app is targeted to Nigeria Students studying or planning to write chemistry exams like WAEC.

Since I published this Classic Chemistry App in Google Play Store, I have had downloads from India, United States, United Kingdom and other countries but not much from Nigeria.

The app has received 5/5 in review. I have also received wonderful emails from users in different countries telling me how much they love my app and how it has helped them in their studies but not any from Nigeria.

After talking to few other mobile app developers, I come to the conclusion that these five reasons are the contributing factors why Nigerian students are not appreciative of Nigerian made Education mobile apps.

1. Nigerians prefer foreign mobile apps than Nigeria made apps

2. Most Nigerians have the illusion that mobile apps made by Nigerians are of low quality.

3. With Education apps, most Nigerians do not like reading because there are many ways to pass exam.

4. Sheer lack of money to pay for Data bundles

5. They prefer charting, 'Facebooking” than studying.

Please if you feel that something is missing, feel free to add yours

I think you have clearly highlighted the issue here. You app is of low quality just like a bunch of other nigerian app that their is on the app store.

You app doesn't have a descent logo and the ui looks like it was developed like 20years ago.

I have downloaded most of your apps and I sincerely think that your downloads are hohohoho.

Abortion: see what my gf texted another guy says "it's just a joke"

I never believed in snoozing or prying into bae's privacy. but I couldn't help but admire her new iPhone 6 which has pestered me for a long time to buy for her but I don't have that much , luckily for us her "uncle" in abuja sent her money to buy it

I've not used iPhone before so i decided to check it out. behold my hand took me straight to her whatsapp, I scrolled along and saw so many things the one they irritated me most was a chat with one he stored as "uncle abuja" I checked at the profile pix he looks rich, probably in his 60s

my babe had earlier deleted Their chats but the recent ones was still there

she was demanding 30k for abortion but the man was insisting she keep the baby, I don't really know if me or the man is responsible for the pregnancy she never mention it. i love her so much even tho I saw when she told the man if he didn't enjoy "it" to the extent he emptied his tank .but I don't understand that line sha

I'm a jobless graduated unizik stundent

please advice me I've confronted her but she insisted she just joking with the man

You are a goat if you really believe 5hat she was just joking.
Programming / Re: Android Developers Only! by Kennyinusa(m): 7:33pm On Aug 05, 2015
Hello guys,

Am Kehinde, an android developer. It is what I have been doing for the past 3 years. Am also experienced in Java script(Node.js).
Ideas are great, everybody or anybody that is smart can come up with an idea. Like a Facebook, AirBnB, Uber. But the truth is that the already exist sad

What I look in a potential partnership project isn't the idea but the experience of the partner. You know stuffs like proven track record. Proof of concept, sales or marketting abilities and most importantly, the ability to make me understand the idea or concept easily.

Am not about money, because I understand what value is, and how relative that is with money. I run my own registered software firm (Weather Software Limited) together with some awsone geeks. We are mobile focused, natively developing apps that targets the most popular mobile platforms I.e. Android and iOS.

So holla if you think you have something intresting for us.

Webmasters / Re: My Advice To All Nigerian Developers by Kennyinusa(m): 1:17pm On Jun 02, 2015
winexviv:
I have been a developer since 2008 and have met so many clients for different reasons. Most of the projects they outsource to local developers either get abandoned in the process or don't get used in the long run. They believe in outsourcing to foreign developers for very serious projects

My Indian friend who is among the team that built Finacle (software used in most banks in Nigeria) keeps telling me that Nigerians are lazy, but I know he is wrong in that. We are just too busy with many things and achieve very little.

In the course 7 years of active development I have left to do front end, back end and graphics design on my own, which makes me to do all projects alone. The country made it so but I know it is very wrong. Of late I discovered that my strength is in UX and UI design and not backend. My designs are always mind blowing.

Because of lack of specialisation, clients tends to price us low. Since many others claims to do all same things even cheaper.

If we as developers discovers our strength and perfects on it, then share projects with other talents, I believe that clients will be glad to pay us high knowing that his/her projects are handled by different experts and will deliver in due time with full project documentation.

I also noticed that only very few developers follow the due process in Web development. Product research -» user experience research -» wireframes -» User Interface design-» coding backend-» optimisation and launching. We are fund of jumping process and doing things anyhow.

I charge clients high for projects now because I do the needful. I will encourage us developers to improve on our strengths, extend jobs for other experts to do their part to get a perfect product in time. With this, you can confidently bill clients several millions for projects and they will be glad to pay.

Always improve continuously. It pays. And also endeavour to save more money, it helps your bargaining power when you know you are not near broke.

I totally dis-agree with this.
The country is not doing too good, we all know that but the country ain't responsible for how your run and execute your projects. It's by choice though through some factors that you might wan't to blame Nigeria for that, but trust me, you can build your team.

What our problem most time is GREED, Most Nigerians' developer are greedy. You get a project for 400k, instead of paying getting a UI/UX designer, probably a graphics designer, we prefer to do it all by ourselves and keep all the money.

The count up has started.

By the Grace of God, I will update this count up as often as I can.
If it is not possible daily, then I must not fail weekly.

Some of us are proudly in the opposition, and we shall oppose Buhari graciously.
We shall try our best to monitor him closely.
We shall not take it kindly if he makes any mistakes.
Even slips of tongue of tongue is not allowed.
Nothing else but miracles.

For example we are expecting millions of jobs this year. With evidence clearly shown here on Nairaland.
In 30 days time, I expect to buy fuel not more than N50 with subsidy completely removed. Oga said there is nothing like subsidy.
Let me just leave it here for now.

This is Hilarious. Lol

Camp has been good. Though I didn't like it at first, but I got used to the whole drills and all.

Though I spent more than 8 days out of camp. I am actually making up for it by doing the little I can to make something happen with my platoon.

My general take home from this camp is collaboration.

This photo of president-elect Muhammadu Buhari shaking hands with Lara Oshiomhole has sparked a heated debate on Twitter.
Some say that the handshake was inappropriate from the viewpoint of some Islamic tenets. While others see nothing wrong with the handshake.

Here are some tweets about the matter:

What is are thoughts about this?

This is some dump shit.

I am Christian and I respect Islam. But saying that a president should not shake hands with a woman is just fuckedl up. Imagine Hillary Clinton meeting with Buhari and you are saying he shouldn't shake hands with her, trust me that is bleeped up and there aren't no justification for this shit.

Salary varies among companies, the stage, revenue of the company and even the attwntion that the company is getting.

I was offered a contract job of 200k in Febuary as an enterprise application developer, the contact was suppose to last for 7 months and my job role was minor, like very minor. But based on the brand or company that the project was associated I couldn't just accept less.
