To be honest, it doesn't really matter what class of degree you have here. I graduated from naija with a third too and after I got my papers, I was able to get a job at Chicago Lighthouse. Now as far as furthering with a third, that would be hard because your cgpa will not be up to the minimum requirements for a masters degree here. You do have a few options though. Even though you didn't provide a lot of information, I can offer some advice:
Say your first degree was in a science related course in naija and you did IT (industrial training.. the reason I mention this is because they people in naija never get less than A/B in IT. its about 15 credits if I remember correctly and when they factor that into your evaluation it will boost up CGPA), you can evaluate your transcipts using WES or some of these other reputable agencies. the way they do their evaluation is a little strange, but you might end up with like a 2.6 - 2.8 out of 4 after conversion. If this is the case, I'll advise you do TOEFL and GRE (and do well in them) to shore up your academic profile, then you'd have to do an enormous amount of research to find like 3 okay schools that will admit you for masters (it will most likely not be in your science related field but you might be able to find something close that you can sell at the embassy.). But say you dont have IT to boost up your CGPA, you might be better off applying to schools have the second bachelor's degree option. There are quite a few of them that a very good schools and are a bit relaxed with their admission criteria. They'll give you admissions and you'd be able to complete your Bachelors with a much better result.
When i first got here, It was really hard to figure out what to do because furthering with GP less than 3.3 - 3.5 USA GP is really hard to eb honest, but with a little know-how and some luck, its not impossible. I'm a living proof.

With 1.5M you can't do anything in d UK and USA. D money is just too small. But if u insist on traveling forget abt UK and go For USA.

Note: u can neva get a Visa with 1.5M

Hello all Long time no log in soo much has been going on with me.
here is my travel script it is not a happy one.
on tyhe day of my trip i got to the airport early, thinking that since i already checked in online oit was going to be a breeze... how wrong i was!
First they said one of my bags was over weighted that i had to reduce it. i promptly did so and when paid for excess baggage about 10k everything was going on a bit fine until one babe came in and decided to take over my matter. she weighed my bags again and couldnt find fault with that and said i must open the bags for her to search i did that and she said i had to remove my dried fish and grounded egusi that they wont let me carry it i said why and she said it was against usa policies i tried to explain to her that my friend traveled last week and i packed according to her list that they didnt raise any eyebrows for her and she said that's my business that if i wanted to fly i must remove them that the laws changed the night before. one of her colleagues said it wasnt applicable to los angeles but she shut him up that i must remove them, so i did so immediately and gave to my sister. then she said she wanted to weigh my hand luggage i brought it forward and she said it was too big that i had change the bag , her colleagues said it didnt look too big she shushed them up again so i asked her to measure it herself and see it wasnt, she said the person in charge of measuring was not in and that as far as she is concerned it was too big and if i wanted to fly i must change it , so i did and she weighed it again , it was over weight by 0.5kg she made me remove that i did. then she said i couldn't fly with my handbag and laptop bag that one of them must go! even though on the bottom part of my ticket it said i was entitled to carry them both she said if i wanted to fly i had to carry just one or i wasnt going anywhere! i pleaded and pleaded to no avail then i dropped my laptop bag and put my latop in my hand bag then she said she wanted to weigh my handbag!!!she did and said it was overweight! i asked by what standard cos there isnt any weight .limit for your handbag as long as you can carry it, or put it under the seat in front of you she said no and i explained that it was because of my laptop in it she still said no until one of her colig put his foot down and told her to let me go by this time i was the last person to check in and get a pass the boarding gate was already about to be closed. so i ran thru customs paid their compulsory bribe of 1k put my fish and egusi back in my bags sealed and handed over to etihad and then when i got to the boarding gate she had already called ahead already i was soooo late that a nice woman whom i didnt know was a person of authority had been looking at it all, so when she saw me running she asked for my name and called ahead to hold the craft! when i got to the gate the devil lady had already called ahead to tell them to reweigh my bags and search me extra when they couldnt find anything extra, her partner in evil told me my tablet was considered a laptop and that i am entitled one laptop so i had to drop either my laptop or my tablet! i was sooo late so i just got on my knees and started pleading she refused that if i know i want to fly then i had to drop one of them that no begging can save me. fortunately my good Samaritan was still around so i turned to her and begged her to collect it from me so i could call my sister to come pick it up from her the next day but she just told them to let me go.
so in i ran to the plane by that time i was gasping for breath like i was about to faint so the host was like calm down ma'am its ok you made it just calm down

Note: it is just God mercy&favor cos in course of checking in my name was mistakenly tick before I got there& the woman told me there is mistake she then said God will used the mistake for my favor.

Big bros... Not that i talked him down... To me is like the guess was confused about transcript and waec.. But am just trying let people know they usually make use of waec as the transcript..

Calling and mailing troy is ain't easy ooo cos if someone dont have patience, am sure they will get hypertension because troy find it hard to reply email and picks...

Someone needs to calling troy for over 30 minutes and still yet they wont pick until the follow day and its not certain if they will pick the follow day but if someone is luck they might pick after calling more than 15 times.

@cutelekush Sure, he can tell the VO the GRE was waived for the school, but still he decided to do it. This will make him look serious at the sight of the VO

@profojah just pray for God's favour. During my sister interview d VO did not check any of her documents,it was only the bank statement the VO check. Make sure u compose yourself, if u are well composed and u answer the questions well and u did not sound suspicious the VO might not even ask for any document from you.

You can tell the VO you apply to 3 school, make sure you know the name of the 3 school cos he/she might ask you, and why you prefer to choose dis particular one. So you must give a genuine answer.

Pls house...Do I need to go to the embassy with my waec certificate? Cos my own na Msc not undergrad and I neva get my waec cert but I got my school cert where all my waec results is been written and my testimonial too iis with me...Moreso, GRE isn't a requirement for the school but after my i20 and admission was sent, I quickly registered cos of visa denial and I got a very low scores 145Q ,134V and 2.0awa...tho I didn't prep for it, I did it under duress but I didn't put any school code since it isn't a requirement, the place is blank...what if the vo sud ask how many skol did I applied to...wetin I fit talk, my interview is next week ooo...

The consular might not even Check your credentials. It not gonna affect you

hello house, i need gurus here to edify me on this: date of birth on my waec certificate is not correct(year before the actual year of birth), tho, i have been to waec to correct this but have not received corrected copy, hope this will not be a constraint if the consular find out that the year of birth on the waec certificate isnt the same with the actual year on other documents. i have my birth certificate showing actual year of birth.

1. Forget January 2015. Target Fall 2015, sir. With that, you will have time to apply and not a fire brigade approach type of application.

2. Evaluating one's transcripts is quite straightforward:

a. Create an account on WES.
b. Pay the service fee depending on one you want.
c. Print the transcript request form from your WES' account and take it to your school to...
d. ...arrange for your transcripts and Certificate from your school.
e. Your school will send the transcripts, you send the photocopy of your certificate ( don't send your original certificate o).
f. WES will acknowledge receipt of the documents after which they will send a mail/fax/email back to your school for verification.
g. After the verification from your school, WES will notify you that your evaluation should be ready in few days time.
h. WES sends evaluated transcripts to your desired address.

3. Based on you evaluated CGPA, you can then start searching for schools, get sharp letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, thick GRE and/or TOEFL scores, then apply.

will the SOA show that 1.5 mil was in your account for three month
must the SOA be for a three month period
what of , if in the 3 month period of the SOA it shows that the 1.5 mill came in during the last week of the three month period
how much should be in your sponsor SOA i.e. the minimum
has anyone gotten the SOA before how does it look like.
what of if one just deposit the huge amount get the SOA and completely withdraw the funds.
I know the bank will not disclose my account balance to the embassy so there is no way the embassy will know if I had the money withdrawn afterwards if it doesn't reflect in the SOA. a beg I need clarification.
in previous post I have read it's always says one requires a SOA but I didn't take notice of the three month stuff.

So so bad. Dis issue need to be addressed
