opoks,

have to say again that you re really a great guy to know, just like I said earlier in this thread,I'm very much priveledged

to associate with the caliber of people in this thread. It was nice chatting with you over the phone, though I wasn't relax

to discuss certain things that I would have like to b/c I was in the office then but I have know doubt you are more than

what I thought of you, you too much.

You know I wz thinking in d line of ur explanation, that no be b/c some of us are the best in our state that make them

take us, but just that a lot of things has to be considered. Like, if NLNG is compelled to take about 5 pple from Rivers, and

all the best candidates they can get from there, non read enginering, and they needed to employ engineers, their best

option should be to consider an engineering candidate from states like Anambra state who might be in the third

position for that state, and the best two candidate should be dropped.

So, na God oh!, lest any man should boast.

Well,I've been trying to post since friday, but couldn't but thank God we can now discuss once again.

I was at NLNG office on Friday but couldn't see a soul except the security men.

The security men told me that last week was their sports week and that they've gone to surulere stadium for sports,

so submitted my acceptance letter to the receptionist to help me submit it to the HR.

But when I called on Monday to confirm the possible assumption date, I was told that we all should assume duty on 7th January.

I'm just a bit confuse about what biolabee posted that those that are Bonny bound should be called for friday but whichever

case NLNG is the bomb and not to be compared with any other job that any of us is doing at present.

Pgm I greet you and all the other peeps in da house.

I literally went mad with joy when I view my offer letter in the net yesterday, well I couldn'tpost that yesterday 'cause I was late from work.

My brother called me in the morning that the courier guy has brought my offer letter to our house and that he will scan and send it to my box. It wasn't untill evening that I was able to visit the net and viewed the letter.

Anyway the letter specify that I should be working at Bonny site with the production Division and that I have the day that the offer letter was sent to two weeks to present my acceptance letter and then six weeks from then to choose to assume duty. I wouldn't like to b;ow your minds with the remuneration and the incentives involve, you get to know that on getting your letter.

I've asked that the letter should be send accross to me so that I can go to their office tomoroow to tender the acceptance letter and then know when I should be able to assume duty. Though my supervisor at Intercontinental refused giving me leave, but what o I care, May be I would be afraid of loosing my job. Can sb tell me what to do so I wouldn't loose my job?

I praise God for everything and I will get back to you if I come back from their office tomorrow.

Shalom.

I think I have to start by apologizing to all for my unusual absent in this thread. Even though I miss posting here, I wasn't able to help myself b/c of the stess we are being pass through in the Intercontinental training scool. So when I do have time to come to net and browse, I do only succeed in reading other people post. But I have to say that I've always been encourage at the spirit that is being display here, people here are matured in their dealings that at time I begin to think they were in the same nursery school with Metusela.

I have to personally compliment Opoks, Opoks, You are not only a gift to this thread but to your generation, don't say to entertain you but damn serious about this. You are an embodiment of encouragement, an icon of greatness and a symbol of maturity, I doff my cap for you. Even when you got to know that you were dropped you encouraged yourself and was all out to encourage others, godfather, you too much and I say once again I adore you.

My man drianny, I don't know why I've come to love you the way i do but i want to tell you that i love and respect you so much. NLNG dropping you is their big loss b/c you are too much and a package weapon of mass distruction to any man that will come messing with you. You are very unique and also a great encouragement. Your present promotion at your work place is just a clue to you that Baba God cares about you and has His plan specially preserve for you. And just to tell you that, He has just let that your way to keep you encouraged for now. He is keeping you in your present place of work so that He will bring out His best in you and be able to package you for the great things he is preserving you for, so give it your best and avail yourself of all opportunity to improve 'cause you are being prepare for something special.

Kuwena, I respect you, and I've always remembered you in my prayers. Many will blame you for your decision but i do not, why, I decided i cannever vow I would not do a thing until I've been pass through the fire and come out without doing that. But if I can advise you, listen to what people here are telling, because if you toe the part you are heading to, you may loose a lot before you can retrace your step. Life goes on even for a glorious future to them that believe that future holds greater as Igbos will say "nkem ji ka". And I've no doubt to believe that Baba God cares so much for you that He has given you Inter job to fall back on when this happens so that you can be console with but its a pity you so soon have forgotten this God that you've always called and accord your respect before now. You hardly call him God not to talk of Lord but have prefered to call him unknown, well it maybe that to you but to me He is known to them that want to know Him. It may be because of your much learning about the "unknown", but I plead with you, think well before you jump because you might not have another chance to do that.

And to the old and new buddies pgm, kenosky, wandel, thought, tombri, johnsonlaw, tommyex,, I hail una, una too much and I dey feel una, even though I feel i'm not a close part of this family, I still dey stick so close to una dey mash una bomber to bomber. In fact una dey keep me updated for everything wey dey happen and I so much appreciate una. Though I wasn't invited on monday, though I read Mech Engin, I'm not borthered 'cause I know say Baba God don sign am say I don better for me, and I go make am. though I may give them a call on Monday to make sure there wasn't any mistake.

I congratulate you tombri, and others that were invited for monday and make una yan us wetin happen when una come back, wish you guys all the best and Gods favour.

Shalom

Opoks,

I remebered what you said sometime ago that all of us in this thread, whether finally called by NLNG or not, are winners and are great men. I've never agreed less with you b/c as many that have seen our foot prints in this thread will know that they are those of great men.

I always anticipate to celebrate with you the way you've always celebrated with everybody in this thread when they are called. You've given out a smile Opoks and I strongly believe God that you will receive nothing less that that rather moreso. As I said sometime ago, I have a very deep respect for you and I know that you are mearnt for something great, so never give up, because I'm convinced that your best song is yet to be sang.

Likewise as many that have rejoiced with others in this thread; kuwena, drianny, tommyex, , I join you in praying that God will cause you to be celebrated just like you celebrated other people.

Dearly beloved ones,

Though I don't find myself worthy in any way to be among this selected few, considering all the brains and potentials I've met in this thread, but it has please God almighty to make me a part of the successful ones.

My brother called me in the afternoon, when I was having my training with Intercontinental bank people and told me about the letter. And when I came back this evening, I was able to view the scan copy of the letter I asked him to send me. It requested that I should go for my medical yest at Prime Hospital at Port Harcourt and that I should do that urgently. And there are some forms that was also attached.

So its true the letter is out, but I join my faith with all of us that are still waiting for theirs, praying that we all should meet at NLNG, to rejoice together and tell our story. There are people (men like drianny, opoks, kuwena, jbyno,, ), I seriously look out seing at NLNG and prays God seriously that they receive their letter.

May God be with each and everyone of us, peace.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by Kenosym(m): 9:03pm On Nov 01, 2007
Opoks,

You know I do not only respect you but adore you, and I believe so is for a lot of people. But I would rather not understand whether you are being controversial for the fun of it or you really mean all you post here. May be you really want to keep the forum lively be just discussing on these issues and I would rather understand you in that case.

Why? because I have always look up to you as somebody that has matured enough to handle some of these little little issues with every maturity. I remember when God father in mario puzio film chided his son, sunny that he musn't let his anger known, and so I believe with anybody that is matured. Why would you need to come back simply to challenge thought that just entered this thread and just have said his opinion. You know everybody is entitled to his opinion and no matter whatthought has said, it cannever in any way belittle your achievement in this thread but your reaction to that can.

Please man, be the man we've always known you to be, all the best man, one love.

KUWENA,

I really congratulate you. I heard thought I will be able to meet you at surulere training school. But all the same, I believe God we still would have the opportunity to meet at NLNG Induction and maybe training. I was also rang up by Intercontinental on saturday 27/10 and I started training at Surulere Training School on Monday. I believe you should be at Ofa Training school, and I agree with you about the wonderful learning condition that is being provided by the Bank for us. I can say with confidence that no other bank provides such.

When I heard about there vision and plan for the Bank and most of all for their staff, I really felt bad 'cause I know I will definitely cannever last long with them to benefit from all these, 'cause for sure I should be leaving them latest February next year either to join NLNG or Saipem where I should be fulfilled practicing what I read, engineering. But I pray that wherever I'm going to be working tomorrow, that the working condition and worker's welfare package should be better than what they have offered me.

And what of wandel, was he in your batch or are they still going to call them in? 'cause I heard they should be calling in new batch by next week.

Wish you all the best and pray I will be able to see you in person one day.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by Kenosym(m): 12:57pm On Oct 01, 2007
extype it seems we have a lot in common. I read Mech, didn't get 1st class though, but was just thinking that if NLNG doesn't click, I may just pick Inter offer and Save and go and do master's in oil and gas at Aberdeen.

But I know I wouldn't need to get tense about anything because God has a blueprint of my live in His hand and will direct me wherever He wishes I go.

I just wish all of us the very best and God's leading because the measure of a man does not constitute on his possessions.

No be small thing o, the way wey this thread they grow, pple like us hardly catch up with reading not to talk of posting. I just decided to leave off reading certain post so that I can have time to post.

Like, I think, Achebe said, the beautiful ones are not yet born. How could we have known that there is a great opoks that can match the great kuwena foot to foot and how could I've known that there is a better kenosky in place of kenosym.

You know the pple I've envied and had thought as the best in this thread were no where to be found again as new breed of unformidable force has taken over. And I can assure you that the very beautiful ones are yet to be born in this thread. And I just want to join my dear kuwena to say that its better late than not. I feel you all reall good, make una carry on.

Infact I strongly believe NLNG must have known the force they are about to contain, when they've started having problem on sellecting the best among the best.

I want to use this opportunity to welcome all the new landers in this thred, you all are welcome to the company of winners. And also to welcome all of us to a greater nation as we celebrate our independent day.

Shalom

Jalo,

its interesting to hear your jist and I'm very much relieve that, according to your post, the waiting is likely to be coming to an end very soon. But do you also have a concrete info on when they will start calling us?

I wish all of us to be there and lets continue to encourage ourselves in the Lord because only Him has brought us this far and Him alone is able to accomplish this in us.

"Now is our salvation nearer than when we first believe"
Cheers
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by Kenosym(m): 12:42pm On Sep 08, 2007
Tola,

Thanks for that info and just like you said, "He confirmed that nobody working in Nlng can influence the selection of the lucky 70 at this level.", we are left to the hands of destiny to decide. And as we've always hope from the onset, our fate lies only in God's hand I never believe in "Mother Luck", whatever that happens to me He has already predestinate that it should be.

Lets continue to hold each other in prayers believing that God who has seen us through to this point will sure perfect that which He has started in us. Wish you all the very best.

kuwena and Wandel,

You know I've done Intercontinental's Medical Test @ the Port Harcourt Zone and I hope we should be among the next batch that should be called in to the training school, though I wouldn't say when. But I think that all things here works for good for us b/c that we love God and that we are called according to his purpose and plan. I wrote apt test on March and they've been keeping us till sept. but the bible said something, that all creature are waiting, yearning for the manifestation of the sons of God and I strongly believe inter is equally waiting for our manifestation as regards NLNG job before they will come up so that eveything should work as God has ordained it.

Well Isn't God an overly Elshadai to have satisfy us with more than enough to wait for even in the choicest place to work, in a nation where unemployment is the order of the day. See you guys wherever Baba wishes us to be, prefferably NLNG

you know, that I really misunderstood you when i read your first post, and that should explain my compliment to Drianny about you, but I have just started to think otherwise. You are really wonderful and very lovely to relate with. Though your entering to the thread is so unique, I equally have noticed from your posts that you are also unique and your post has brought some balances to this thread.

I strongly believe with you that all of us here are heroes and winners whether we are called or not. Besides, very soon we all should know our fate here and that is why I think that you enter this thread just at the right timing.

There is no doubt your first post was harsh and hard but I think it really was needed as it helps to prepare us for the present time. You know change they say is the only thing that is constant but its also one of the things that men resists most, and that explains why we resisted you so strongly initially when you wanted to change the flow we've ejoyed and were satisfied with.

Though I know that God has not brought us this far to forsake us but I completely agree with you that we all need to be prepared to accept whatever that the Lord has in plan for our lives. Just like Job said, shall we only receive of good from the Lord and not evil. But just to say it right, the Lord actually never had mearnt evil against him and neither should He mean evil for us. So whatever that be the outcome of all this let not think that God has forsaken us or has let us down, but lets see it that He has a letter end that is better than this beginning.

Drianny you know you are a beloved and a darling I really missed you this few days I've been out of net. How is life treating you, hope great? I'm sure of one thing, just like opoks said, we all in this forum are great and winners with or without NLNG job, there is this seed of greatness in all of us. And whether the devil likes it or yes it's going to burst very soon as we should soon be anounced. Keep your head up against all odds.

Kuwena, though I don't know when you called them but if recent, it should then mean that there is a bit discrempancy with what larwee said, and I seriously hope NLNG will give eough opportunity especially this time the issue of quota system is being considered.

Kuwena,

whatever you say I much agree, you know you are like a daddy in this thread just like poks said, and your sacrifice to this thread from the onset is such a challenge, and more than enough reason not to argue about this at all. And most of all I think we all understands each other once more.

NLNG, small small so say!

NLNG Bing my letter!

Kuwena, I want you to try and proclaim to yourself the promises of God concerning your life when the worry comes and then to tell yourself that you are meant to be great with or without NLNG job and that whatsoever that happens to your life is never by accident. And if God so much cares for you, do you think you can do better of than He could do.

and finally you can b what God wants you to be and no man nor any circumstance can stop you.

NLNG Bring my Letter!

Drianny, I think it’s time we go over to things that edifies and encourages, rather than continuing on this discouraging discussion.

I will be privileged to be more than your page boy but only on the ground that it should be with sweetjoy and only her.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by Kenosym(m): 5:58pm On Aug 29, 2007
NLNG, Bring my letter now!

Dear Kuwena, You know what, I dont agree with you about changing the signature, at least not now. I remember when I think Nehemiah was building the temple and his enemy tried to see if they can get him to fear by sending some people and asking him to go and hide himself in the temple. You could say that there is nothhing wrong with him doing that, but because he never wanted to give his enemies the opportunity to glory he refuse doing that.

So on that ground I really disagree with you in changing the signature for now, dont misunderstand me, so that the enemy should not rejoice he has finally gotten us to bulge.

And besides, I think what you are passing through now is worry and you really need to deal with yourself and that it shouldn't be misunderstood with the faith we've displayed here.

I encourage you to hold up, don't allow any circumstance to hold you down, be strong and know that God is God.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by Kenosym(m): 5:48pm On Aug 29, 2007
NLNG Bring my letter sharp sharp!

Drianny, you know you said that its not all mails you reply to, and I think you are very much right about that and so I think about many of us who have neglected opoko’s posts.

Anyway, I don’t think he worth all the attention. You know everybody is entitled to his own opinion and like you said everybody has freedom of speech. And in a time like this when there are uncountable number of Christian’s believes, some believe your being rich is not the will of God, and that you have to be poor in order to serve God well, and some if don’t suffer here on earth you’ve definitely will not make heaven or you will have to suffer in life after. And you find out you simple will be wasting your precious time tying to convince such a fellow about what is good for him. And opoko sounds like he has his faith rooted in one of such faith, so I think the best answer he ever needs from this forum is just silent and negligence to his posts.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by Kenosym(m): 5:44pm On Aug 29, 2007
NLNG, Bring my letter now!

"I have been reading this thread for quite sometime but have never contributed because I had to be sure I have sth worth saying"
Opoko, you earlier said you were waiting until you will be sure you do have something worth contributing before you can post, but its obvious you’ve actually have not gotten anything worth saying and you could do us a great favour to wait some more until may be you have something edifying to post. And by the way it’s not a must you or any other person will post. Consider your post, what could you think you’ve achieved? Just trying to sow discord among us, but be rest assured we’ve grown past that, your post can never tear us down, but it should rather make us stronger.

May be I’m wrong, but does your post suppose to edify or to discourage, does the word of St Paul, that we should season our words with salt so that it should be with grace, that you may answer any man, mean nothing to you?

"It's amazing that little tests like this would show what we are trully made of"
"But have any of you ever bothered to find out from God Himself whether being in NLNG is HIS OWN VISION, PLAN and ROAD MAP for you? Or whether His plan for you may take you elsewhere? Have you ever bothered to seperate what you desire from what God may desire and ask that His takes pre-eminense?"
"It seems I have stirred the hornet's nest. The peace and serenity of this thread was shattered recently by a single post from Opokonwa and ever since, people have taken stands, expressed views and even taken sides. J'appreciate! The wiser (and/or more careful) ones have only sat back and watched to know how this plays out, to avoid hurting nobody and to only talk when the dust settles. Or at least support who eventually appears to be winning the war of words.  I don't blame you all though! "

Now you’ve become the tester/tempter of our faith, is that what you mean you heard from God to do? Well talking about whether God has told us that NLNG is the place for us to be or not, I also want to ask if it was God that sent you to post this mail to bring discord in this forum which you seem enjoying watching to see how we should take sides, react and speak. When you considered and applied for NLNG job and was desiring to leave your presently heavenly found job, was it actually God that asked you to leave it and go for the NLNG job?

"And if you understand God at all, you should know that HE reads the heart, the innermost mind, the hidden you. HE cannot be fooled, cajoled or convinced otherwise. And besides, if HE is interested in you, HE cannot give you what may distract you in the long run from serving HIM faithfully."

Why should the meat that your brothers eat (faith we have) be such a problem to you. You that know God or rather is known of God and who never wake up in the morning until God asks him to, why don’t you bear with them that are just learning to craw with God. Why would you rudely condemn every one of us for freely expressing our feeling to our Daddy the way we understand

Well to you, He might be just only one mighty being in heaven and to whom we should only approach kneeling in awe, but to me He is more than that but also a Daddy, a beloved Father and caring God who willingly asked me to always approach His throne of grace anytime, anywhere, for any purpose and for any reason. Jesus has broken all the walls of enmity and tore the curtain that separates us from approaching unto the throne of grace and has given us the freedom to come. Please beloved, don’t lay any burden on any one of us except the one that Jesus has allowed for us. Allow us to worship the Lord in the freedom and liberty He has offered unto us.

If actually you are consistently following this thread as you claim to have, just like ehido said, you would not only have noticed we equally had considered the possibility that all of us may finally not be taken at last, but you should also would have learnt the right way such issues have been handled without getting anybody hurt or raising controversies. Milestone had dropped in the second stage but he still calls to encourage us and this will tell you that this thread goes beyond just getting NLNG job, and many people who are not NLNG hopeful has equally written to say how much they are encouraged by this thread. Also accusing adrianic for saying that one of us has a masters degree shows you never read well but that you are always fast to conclude on what you wanted to hear. It’s obvious you are quick to bring in agitation because you really wanted to test us and take away the peace and the love that we enjoy. But I want to assure you that we have come a long way to be easily tossed around like kids, we have even gone beyond friendship, we are now like a family that is tied together and can never be separated.

Please before I go, I want to tell you that I should be the last person to reply to your post if you continue in your tune, and I would like to plead with every one of us never to be influenced by your plots and tempting words. And finally, I would like to plead with you again to leave us to enjoy the peace and the love that God has given us.

Well, no offence is meant and no offence taking, wish you all the best in your faith and believes.

Shalom
