Thank you for the question. This is the question I later asked one mumu that I quoted above this comment. The older phones could still update but WhatsApp is probably trying to shed away excessive drags on their system and not ready to entertain complains and perhaps litigations from users operating those old model phones.

I will advise you talk to a landlord in another house around to allow you park in their compound, tell him your reason. I know you can't speak to two or three before you see one that will allow you.
