Gosh234: I am marvelled at their attack ,made start thinking if I have had issue with any of them before now , nawaoo You did nothing wrong. They are always angry around here, even with men they never had an encounter with. I bet you they'll still be here hounding another young man in five years time. It's their curse and burden, don't take it personal. |

Even though all women tend to share a few traits, I dare say it's genuinely not this much of a rocket science to get a decent girl in the north. Yes, they aren't perfect either, but, boy, compared to their counterparts down south. |

These cowards only comment at about the same time. . As usual with their lame shaming tactics aimed at silencing men from calling them out for the utterly selfish people they can be. We know you don't love your kids the way you claim you do. We also know the OP is spot on with his takes. But, it's okay, you can still keep up with the charades. |

cococandy: The misogyny on this forum is sickening. Almost like there's a history of women lying against men and trying to ruin their lives and people just aren't so quick to side with a woman again. We are not believing Women anymore until sufficient evidence abounds. No amount of wailing and condescending comments from you will change that. Deal with it. |

DKM123: All I know is that those foreign women who say they fancy Nigerian men should endeavor to take an internet stroll to the the biggest Naija online platform and see if they will not throw up thier guts, scream "God forbid", carry thier high heels on thier heads and run for thier lives with speeeeed!
See typical responses of Nigerian men. Not barbarians and ancient Mongolian cavemen o. I mean 21st century educated Nigerian men. Yen yen, blah blah No one cares

JovialJune: If you are consistent and constantly on these streets, you'd know he is our resident Cinderella, he has obsessively fought with every known female moniker here, and the funny delusion of it all is that, he goes by another name "Lord.ko" ,
The "Lord" makes me laugh hilariously anytime I see it Tbh, the emboldened kinda like implies he's more often than not on the right side. One should question his values if most of the women in this section are a fan of him. |

ImaIma1: Very typical of men to want to shut women up by bullying and shaming. Don't let anyone peddle lies about you to shut you up. I swear women shame men far more than the other way round. Literally on this thread few pages from this one you'll find women broke shaming a dude for posting his bank account. The lack of self awareness from you guys is impressively mind boggling. |

Man, you are unbelievably clueless if you think Maria is the bad one here. Even more clueless if you think number of "likes" gives a clue as to who is right or wrong around here. Should have just let the ladies do their thing and sit this one out since you have no context whatsoever. |

Beautifulearth: we had issues and she told me she’s fed up, told her fine then help me forward my laptop as that is the only thing of mine in her possession. She told me I should forget it that she’s not sending it again Girl is just bitter that you are not putting in any fight to keep her. She has a high opinion of herself and thought you'd beg and do her biddings to save the relationship. Good thing you didn't budge as she's likely to keep pulling this trick whenever she wants to have her way, which is going to be always. For the laptop, get the police involved; present evidence of your ownership and her threats. I'm happy you dodged a bullet nuclear bomb. |

But I was told mother's love is unrivaled and they can lay down their lives for their kids. Lies. Notice how even the women on this thread don't seem to see how preposterous it is for a woman to allow her baby sleep on an empty stomach and a particular one above even spinned the tale to eventually call the op petty. You are all birds of a feather. |
Family › Re: Nigerian Ladies Stop Marrying Men That Are Not Already Rich by KevinDein: 9:19am On Dec 05, 2021 |
emmaodet: Also, no woman is doing a broke man favour by marrying him. Whether women decides to marry poor or struggling men or not, most ladies too will be broke if they stay on their own. Have seen it a lot. A lot of aunties or sisters on the street stay in one room with many ladies, all struggling together. If they had married 5-10 years ago, they would have put the blames on men for using marriage and poverty to cage them and not realise their dreams blah blah blah but here they are, 10 years down the lane alone with no excuse of a baby or a man slowing them down yet wallowing in poverty. If only a lot of poor and struggling men also know the kind of favor and grace God is giving them by allowing women to avoid them, they all will be dancing. Now, let us imagine a struggling man earning 50k per month without any unnecessary baggage of women... This is genuinely a great comment, tbh. |

She desire to have only one child but she wants the man to castrate himself and give up his ability to bear more kids (if circumstances change), while she retains hers. Somehow, the geniuses in the family section are trying really hard to convince anyone who cares to listen that that isn't an act of selfishness. |

Women hate the truth, regardless of where it's coming from. Op seems to only liked the comments that sound nice in her ears but ignored or engaged in war of words with those that rightly called her out on her utter selfishness. No wonder some 45 year old women don't exactly show marked difference in maturity from 22 year olds. Una no dey ever wan learn. |

Nairaland Dumbos: Tuface is dangerous, he's gaslighting his wife. Quiet men are the most dangerous. Same dumbos would have said Tuface is abusive and immature if he had engaged her in a war of words. I mean Kpokpogri was called immature and all sorts of names because he wasn't the quiet type. They go to length and engage in all sorts of mental gymnastics to vilify men and make women look like the victims. |

With this your mindset it will difficult to attain certain heights in your career or life...
All you mentioned as stress are responsibility... Would you expect another woman or your mum to do your duties on your behalf??
Lots of you need some growing up to do I couldn't believe that comment and funnily it got over a 100 likes. Preparing breakfast for one's kids and getting them ready for school genuinely sounds like some of the few pecks of marriage where one gets to bond with their kids in the process. Apparently for this utterly selfish generation that's such a mightily stressful thing to do. |

Mercychen: Wake up early ( when youre not ready) Prep the children for school. Prepare their food breakfast. If hubby is nice, he'll help drop them off otherwise, you do the school runs. These are genuinely some of the things normal people do and derive satisfaction; mentally and emotionally. Helping their offsprings become better human beings and watching them grow into successful adults. How is preparing breakfast for your own kids a big deal? I do that even for strangers. |

Family › Re: Why Are Young Men In Nigeria So Desperate About Marriage by KevinDein: 8:11pm On Nov 09, 2021 |
Raalsalghul: One reason for this I would say is lack of exposure.
Some people were born in poverty, grew in poverty, lived poverty all through their lives without coming in contact with the other side of life.
As a result of this, they're oblivious when they take actions that'll still sustain that poverty into the next generation.
There's no way you'll see the other side of life and still want to take actions that'll make your lineage poorer. So true. Exposure, via travelling and experiencing different cultures, is a hugely underrated form of education. These days one doesn't even need to change geographical locations to achieve this. Pretty much joining global forums like quora, reddit, YouTube, etc, will clue one in on different cultures and ideas around the world. |
