biotechshola: As usual, their lame line of argument! You're the one lame. I had even talked about how my aunt wore her little girl with hijab according to the school uniform of the Muslim school when she was transferred as a teacher to the Muslim school. My aunty wasn't fighting the school over their apparel because she's educated enough to know what is meant by being uniform and she was the one who enrolled her kid into the school because she wanted the kid with her while the kid was still little, hence she had no room to complain about anything cos she knew the school rules before enrolling her kid. Go to your Islamic school and stop being a nuisance somewhere else. Dem swear for you people? Even if dem swear for you people, you suppose have sense. Always creatung nuisances and chaos everywhere. biotechshola: The way you emphasize of Christians schools, seems you are oblivion of the fact that Muslims also built schools that were taken over by the govt.. And the question you should rather be asking is if Christians students in Muslim schools are forced to wear hijabs even though it's part of the uniform... Exactly. And that's why you should go there. The asarundeen school for example have their uniforms in hijab. Go there and stop creating nuisances somewhere else.. |

TAO11: Under government “care” ?? LMAO!
No sweetheart! The school is a government owned school funded and run by the government.
But for some fanatic Christian reasons of yours, the decision must be made by its defunct previous owners.
Dream on! Lol.
It makes you look super dumb when you take your time typing you reply to a comment that you never read.
That is to say, your so-called questions were answered.
Normal people enrol into a school with the mindset to abide by the ongoing rules set by its present owners.
Normal people don’t go about trying to enforce a rule which doesn’t exist.
And the owners of the school — that is, the Government — have spoken loud and clear enough that:
Their school uniform has nothing to do with your headdress or the lack thereof.
And I’m not sure why you think I can’t or didn’t define that.
You need to learn to read the very comments you spend time typing a reply to. It makes you look less dumb.
As you a hate-filled Christian fanatic that you are, you only deserve to get love in return. Yes, love is what you need now. ❤️ Yes exactly! For example, the likes of St Louis, Aquinas, St Joseph etc weren't bought by the government. As a matter of fact there are still some whites people who are governing the school bodies despite the fact that they're under the government care. St Joseph, Louis etc as a matter of fact made a law which entails that only an alumni of the school has the right to become the school principal. They all have their several rules governing the school bodies and yet they're under the government. Sink that into your skull. The fact that they're now under the government care doesn't negate the fact that it was built and laid by the church. And I repeat, if you didn't care about enrolling into a school built and laid by the church, it's very stupid of you to care about the uniform. Since your illiterate self keep going on about uniform. Let me put into your skull that to be "uniform" is to be the same and unchanging in all forms and departments. That's what meant by being uniform hence the name uniform. If you want Muslim settings, go to Muslim schools except you're ashamed of your Islamic school. As simple as ABC The nerves of you calling me hate filled. Direct your gibberish to your lunatic throwing stones at peaceful protesters. The nerves! |

TAO11: And at the point in time when ownership was transferred; decision making was also transferred, bigot. Lol.
Just as in a situation where you take over a property by acquisition — the ownership, as well as the decision making rests with you.
It doesn’t matter if the former owner (who originally built it before you then acquired it from him/her) was santa-clause or a space-alien.
Just as one of my present properties, it was originally owned by space-aliens; but now I decide what goes on in it from the date I acquired it. ❤️
You can’t give what you didn’t get as a child — that is, love.
Moreover, if a Muslim school is private; then the private owners may define what is uniform for their school.
But if it’s a Government owned/financed school, then the Government decides how it is run including what is uniform — even if it had originally been built by the Imam of Mecca before Government take over.
And I answered your question despite given more details. But I’m not schooled that you couldn’t realize that.
Anyways, to spoon feed you this time around; talking vaguely “uniform” can be defined variously with up to five dictionary entries.
But talking with specific reference to our context of wears, here: “uniform” is defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary as:
“dress of a distinctive design or fashion worn by members of a particular group and serving as a means of identification”
Contrary to what you naively expect, a dictionary doesn’t give any workable or practical definition, people still have to step in to define it in specific and nuanced details.
And that is precisely what the owners of the Ilorin school (i.e. the Government) have done when they noted that uniform has nothing to do with your headdress or the lack thereof.
In other words, Christian kids are allowed to leave their heads uncovered because that’s supposedly their religion’s requirement.
And the Muslim kids are allowed to cover their heads in hijab because that too is supposedly their religion’s requirement.
Lol! Guys, please show some love to this dude. He needs as much as he can get. ❤️
If I answer this again, then that would be my third time.
In the vide that was circulated, two insane groups were throwing stones at each other.
And if anybody was protesting, then it must have been those who were turned back for wearing hijabs.
Keep your bigotry in check, you really don’t need me to that for you.
No. I’m sending you love and light. May you eventually find peace. Lol. It wasn't transferred. The government didn't buy it. They simply put it under the government care. You haven't answered any of my questions though. Which are, the meaning of "uniform". Don't you have Muslim schools? Until you answer these, you're spewing gibberish! Like I already said, if you didn't care about enrolling into a school which was built and laid by the church, it's very stupid of you to care about the uniform. And you need to answer my questions on the meaning of uniform. Even if they swear for you people, you need to have sense at least. Btw I didn't ask for uniform wear but uniform, illiterate. TAO11: A fanatic bigoted hate-monging Christian spotted.
Your hate and bigotry seems to be deep-rooted in ignorance. But I’m willing to help pull you out. ❤️
In the U. S., whether or not a school was historically built by Father-Christmas or by Space-Aliens is of zero consequence in so far as it is (at present) a Government owned and financed school.
And there are no Government schools here in the U. S. (whether built historically by Muslims, Blacks, Whites, Christians or Atheist) where you would find such madness as the one you’re trying hard to justify.
In fact, I know even of a Private school of Christian origin here where students use their hijabs. Private school oo, not even a Government school like the Baptist school in Ilorin.
What constitutes a school’s uniform is defined by the authorities who own and finance the school.
And in the case of this Baptist school in Ilorin (which is presently owned and financed by the Government, even though it used to be owned and financed many decades ago by some Christian missionaries), the owners and financiers of the school — which is the Government — have already defined the uniform of their school to have nothing to do with your headdress or the lack thereof.
And this is the same thing obtainable in Government owned and financed schools across the U. S.
If those Christians of Ilorin really want to dictate and define uniform, then they should own and finance a private school.
Cheers!
NB: My reference to America was purely because someone (to whom I first replied) had brought it up. And the land and the structure was built by the church and not Muslim nor the government! OjukuwuHusband: as a muslim, i don't rate this muric guy or even CAN........but in all honesty this school we're talking about is a historically Christian school with it's laws and regulations and if the laws aren't favorable with me or doesn't go with my religion i'd simply leave the school, if everyone starts bringing religion into the class room it won't end well at all. should the ifa and sango worshippers also be allowed to wear their traditional clothing to class in historically muslim schools, there are lots of great muslim schools in ilorin that one can send your child to and you'd wear hijab and be surrounded by fellow muslims but you choose to send your child to a historically Christian school but you want them to change their laws to accommodate your believes and you think you're not an agent of confusion and disunity sent by the devil. Islam tasks us to speak the truth always and what's happening in ilorin is absolutely disturbing, the governor should not use religious sentiments in politics because he should remember that his wife is also a christian. Exactly this! It's called "uniform" for a reason. Like I said, my aunt was once transferred to a public Muslim school and had to enrol her little baby girl in the Muslim school because she was too young to be schooling anywhere else and there was no one to monitor her. This little girl would wear hijab according to her "school uniform". In fact we often called her little alhaja. Why wasn't my aunt fighting to change the school apparel? Because she's educated enough to know it's "uniform" wear. Everyone's apparel has to be uniform hence the name uniform to begin with. That's how it should be. Also, she was the one who enrolled her child into the school despite knowing their apparel and settings. If she didn't concern herself with all these before enrolling her kid, it would be very stupid of her to be fighting over an apparel. If anyone wants a Muslim or Christian settings, go to either a Muslim or Christian school respectively. Stop being a nuisance everywhere. |

TAO11: I agree with you for the most part. In U. S. Government schools, Muslim kids are allowed to use their hijabs if that’s what religious expression is for them. And Christian kids and others are allowed to bare their heads if that’s what religious expression is for them.
I don’t think the religions are mutually intolerant — the problem of intolerance begins and ends with the people (the adherents of the religions) on both sides.
The typical Nigerian Christian, for example, seeks to exclude, demonize and decontextualize the other religions as much as (s)he possibly can. It’s almost like a requirement for heaven. And exactly the same goes for the typical Nigerian Muslim.
In fact, the same attitude is beginning nowadays to emerge even amongst some adherents of the indigenous religions.
All these is despite the fact that all these religions do not necessarily require this madness as an article of their respective faiths.
But trust these bigots on each side of the divide to always be ready to justify their insanity even to the extent of seeking their respective scriptures as support by re-interpreting to unimaginable extents just to justify madness. In America, you can't try such shit in a missionary school built by the church! Sink that into your skull! They have uniform for a reason. Now tell me the meaning of uniform? |

biotechshola: I'm sorry but you ain't addressing the main issue which is the highest level of intolerance by the Christians...
The main reason why issue of hijab is coming up now is simply because those schools have been taken over by the government, hence every student has the right to dress in accordance with the provision of his/her religion as permitted by law as long as it doesn't alter the original uniform and I don't see how putting a piece of cape over your head changes the uniform. Before now, when the schools were still owned by the missionary, no Muslim student dared wear hijab to school just because of the Christian authorities can not just withstand the sight of it, whereas, hijab has always been part of the uniform In Muslim owned school but the Christians were not forced to put them on.. So one may want to ask, why was the hatred for other religion so much that you can't even withstand them fulfilling a part of their religion In your territory? Does it affect you in anyway? Or you just detest the religion and those who practise it?
I've worked both in Muslim owned and Christian owned private schools, and while the Muslim school had teacher for CRS, the latter didn't allow IRS to be taught to Muslim students..
And to further prove that it's not really about the uniform, the hatred is for the religion and all that promotes it, if for instance a (SU) decides to extend the lower part of her uniform beyond the knee length which is against the design of the schools, no one raises an eyebrow, If a Christian student puts on a beret which may not be part of the uniform, no one complains, so why the issue when it comes to hijab?
While in school, all female students were mandated to put on a beret in a govt owned school and no hijab was allowed, and mind you, the beret was not part of the uniform and even if it was, it represents a faith, so why should those who do not believe In their faith compelled to dress like them and even punish them if they fail to comply?
So the problem simply is intolerance and above that, hatred for other religion. Are you dumb not to know the structure was built by the church? Did the government build the school? Don't you have Muslim schools? Why don't you go there if you want Muslim settings? You deey maaad? Now tell me the meaning of "uniform". Answer this or shut your hole! The school gets funded by govt
The school was officially owned by govt since 1970s even though it was originally founded by christian missionaries. It is no longer the case.

I’m surprise known of you is seeing this. You are waiting for him to sign his players abi? Ok.
I know someone will mention me and say if Man U is my club, I should go talk about my club, blah blah blah but I’m a football fan first before been a club fan so I can discuss football generally. Klopp gregen pressing style would send all of them to the physio room. Klopp can't work with this rubbish squad. |

Shambolic performance on the day we should be celebrating our resurgence after the Lord's resurrection.
If it were relegation candidate such as Cardiff, Huddersfield etc, these useless players would be showing their power. Thunder fire them all. Abi aye n ba awon eleyi ja ni. |

afrodoc2: Laird has been bullying them in youth leagues forever. Hopefully he can be our own Kyle Walker rather than TFM. Luckily for him unlike TFM (who was played at RB, CB, CDM, CM and ended up mastering no position) he has been played mainly at RB.
It is always difficult to anticipate who will make it and who won’t because talent alone is not enough.
We have 3 RBs with varying skill sets in the academy I.e O’Connor, Laird, Williams and i believe at least one of them should make it to the first team. O’Connor is defensively superior, Laird is the athletic powerhouse while Williams has a nasty streak and is the superior creator. May one of them deliver us from Ashley Old. I think TFM should be sold off this season. Only that could save his career because hardly would an EPL club bother with the development of another club's player or have the patience when they have their own young players to look after unless the player in question has been completely signed by them. This was what saved Micheal Keane's career. It's either he's sold off or he should go to a championship/league 1 club for his loan. No EPL club would prioritise his development by giving him lot of playing time regardless of his little experience when they have to worry about their staying in the EPL league more than anything. Like you said, I would like Ole to give trials to one of O'Connor, Laird and William in the place of Young. At least, this would give us something to look forward to rather than feasting our eyes on the shite displayed by Young. There's nothing Ashley would offer that we don't already know of. On a side note, I think if Greenwood continues to get tougher on the ball, he could develop into a player that could offer us the hold up play that we lack in Rashford and Lukaku however he's too young for such role right now. |

afrodoc2: I can’t really knock anything you said from Greenwood downwards. His growth spurt has somewhat diminished his blistering pace but his technique is still better than the people we have now.
Also it’s O’Connor is more mature and composed than Laird, and this has been aided by the fact that O’Connor has played a lot of CB. Laird is more highly hyped because he is just so supremely talented. Luckily his education has not been derailed the way they did to people like Demi Mitchell, Tim Fosu Mensah and almost did to Scott McTominay.
But all that Poole and Harrop yarns needs to be sent to tippexed. Sent where? That we should disregard the fact that Poole looked quality against Man City who had plenty of quality players on the pitch? Or the fact that Harrop was the best player on the pitch when he played for us? Sorry, I can't disregard that fact. As for Greenwood, while he's got a solid touch, I don't see the control, agility nor the pace in his game. His off the ball movement needs an improvement also. However, He's got fierce shots on him with lot of precision. I also love the fact that he loves to put himself about and he's always up for it. Such mental strength can do a lot for him. There's definitely a player in there but he's too overhyped. I really don't see the talent in Laird. This isn't the first time a youth player has looked good due to the physical advantage he had. There's no way he would be allowed to push people off the ball to have his way in the EPL, like he's been doing so far in the youth team. I don't also see the agility in his game, like I have seen with O'Connor. O'Connor's game seem to look much more refined to me and doesn't seem to operate on pure strength nor raw pace eventhough he's no pushover. |

afrodoc2: Lol he has made some good points in this case. His problem is when he starts overhyping Poole, Harrop, and Tosin Kehinde.
Many close followers believe O’Connor is the most complete full back we have in the youth set up but i am afraid all the LB,RB and CB he has been playing will damage his natural RB play.
At this stage I would play any of O’ Connor, Laird, or even crazy Brandon Williams instead of that hunchback Ashley Old.
I completely agree with his assertion on Chong. He often appears more decisive when he plays on the left. Greenwood and Garner have bags of potential and while Greenwood might have the higher ceiling Garner might be the safer bet. However I don’t agree that Greenwood is technically limited like that. His touch, finishing and passing is already better than Rashford’s, and Martial can learn from him in terms of movement and pressing. Poole was Newport's best defender against Man City. There's nothing wrong with Poole. The fact that he's been solid in the LCB role, despite being right footed speaks a lot about his talent. No wonder he's been doing good in the RCB role for Newport. That reminds me, Tuazenbe looked abject when he was deployed in the LCB role for the youth team. As for Greenwood, he's good but a good dribber? He's not. He's got a good touch and fierce shots on him as a forward. He also looks to be strong but that's all. I'm not saying he's not good enough but just that he's been overhyped a lot. He doesn't even have the blistering pace of Mbappe. Garner has better close control and agility than Greenwood for example. I love what I have seen from Garner in the holding midfield role but I don't know of his mental strength nor how up he would be for the senior team because he's had forgettable performances the last time out. As for O'Connor, he looks better than Laird sef for me. He has the technique, intelligence, linkup play and defensive awareness in his game unlike Laird who tend to operate on raw power and pace alone. I even saw Laird pushing some opponent away just to continue his run on the ball rather than use his technique to manoeuvre. I doubt he would get that in the EPL where opponent can match him strength for strength and pace for pace. His defensive awareness isn't that good also. |

I really don't know why O'Connor can't be given the nod. Tbh, only O'Connor and Garner I see making it out of the youth team. Greenwood could be a distant third cos of his mental strength (his technical skills have been largely exaggerated) but with others, I really don't see it with them.
Chong looks a bit erratic both in his dribbling and decision making when drifting inside. He's also too one footed for my likeness however, his dribbling looks far better on the left side than on the right. I love his movement though and he's got some cross whipping skill on him. Maybe, there's a left winger in the mould of Sane who also often looks rubbish on the right wing.
It's high time Ole promoted O'Connor. I'm sure he can't do worse than the abject Young in the full back role. |

ChristoBam: I understand Herrera was awful against Watford. And Matic has been sub-par the last two games but I don't support changing both are the same time. You say what? What exactly is their job that can't be replaced? Average players that shouldn't even be in our squad in the first place. Didn't Chelsea flog Matic off their team. How we became a second fiddle club for useless players is something I can't comprehend today? Rodrigo Hernandez is three times the midfielder Matic is, considering he's a quality defensive holding midfielder. The only problem is Atletico may not want to sell. If Atletico won't sell, then I would love us to go for Van De beek who's more of a playmaking holding midfielder but that means we would require a box-box defensive midfielder such as Ndidi or Lemina alongside him. One of Maddison and Grealish would have to be left out if Van De Beek was to be brought in, especially if Pogba eventually left for Madrid. Personally, I would love a 3-man midfied of: Maddison - Rodrigo - Grealish OR Van De Beek; Lemina/Ndidi - Grealish. Good riddance to Matic, Herrera and Pogba midfield who have done fvck all for us. Even MCTominay and Fred could say they buried PSG's quality midfield unlike the rubbish we tend to depend on daily basis. Yeye dey smell. |

Three midfielders that were big up from the championship last season were Madison, Neves and Grealish, two have had no problems in their acclimatization into the EPL, which means Grealish who was actually the biggest talent of them all wouldn't look out of place in our team. Grealish continues to be the best midfielder in the championship even as we speak now.
If Pogba wants to leave for Madrid, good riddance to him. Would sell him for £200mil and use it to fund Rodri Hernandez, Grealish and Maddison. Get in Zagodou and Sancho too and we can say bye garri to this summer transfer window. Get in quality English players who won't leave us when they reach their prime.
Deadwoods such as Matic, Mata, Herrera, Young, Jones, Sanchez should be let go as quick as possible. |
