yea i understand all that. but imagine a prostitute gets raped, how legitimate could her claim to be traumatized be? same goes for a lose woman. what is this 'damage'?i understand how painful it could be for someone who was committed to an ideal such as non fornication or adultery but for those victims who were already engaged in casual sex, its rather blown out of proportion. |

before i start i would like to make it clear that i completely sympathise with rape victims and i do not accept rape anymore than i accept stealing. However i have been thinking for a while and the previous rape topic on this forum got me thinking more. where does this huge psychological problem that affects rape victims come from? i can understand it when the assailant is some random filthy guy but what if it's somene you know and kinda respected? sex is supposed to be pleasurable and i'd imagine that if the tables were turned most guys would certainly not mind being raped (by girls ofcourse) that much. i'm talking especially about women who say they were raped by their husbands or date raped, surely it can't be that bad? does the fact that it is rape automatically mean that the lady experiences no pleasure during the event? i guess the question i'm asking is do women still enjoy the physical aspect of sex(separated from the emmotional and mental aspect) while being raped? |

lets assume Jewish is a religion. where is the evidence that Jesus was a Jew(in the religious sense)? do you really read that bible of yours? you worship science so? does that mean you are smart? it certainly does not mean you are on the right track. you don't believe in this or that and thats fine but i ask you to ask yourself a question, how? take it further;why? How did life start?? why?(what made it happen?). but my final question to you is what is your point here and now? you here to insult us? or to find out why we believe in what we do? |

@ mikaela. u conveniently ignore all the questions you can't answer and move on to ones you think are too clever which betrays the fact that you have extremely limited knowledge of this subject. jewish does not equal religion my friend. jewish is a race and it does not equal white either. there are black arabs does that then make arabic a religion? the traditional jewish religion is judaisim and Jesus certainly was not a judaist(if thats the term) |

concubines are wives of a sort. they were kept at the palace and were not allowed to have relations with other men. you must also not forget that christianity as we know it did not exist then. people had many wives whereas in this time most christians consider it wrong to marry more than one wife. the only verse i have ever seen concerning the topic of how many wives christians should have is more of a guideline where is states that a priest must be the husband of one wife. |

Mikaela:where in the bible is sex before marriage okay ?? yes constantinople put the bible together but the significance of the bible is not in the book itself but of the scriptures within. i mean what does the origin matter? the books of the bible as already implied were books written on their own and were already valid as such. some of the books are just letters written by apostles and saints so the issue of who put the bible together and which books are not there is totally irrelevant cos the bible was not meant to be one book. |

@ mikaela, you have obviously been watching the Da vinci code too much. allow me to correct this, the bible i read and read very well and never ever states that she threw herself at him in the sense you are suggesting and never called mary magdalene a LovePeddler. can you just quote a single bible verse or any reliable historical text that corroborates what you are saying? why are you just saying things just for the sake of winding people up? is it too much to ask you to please respect our religion? has anyone here done any thing that warrants such abuse of our faith?? we are not forcing you to be christian but does that mean you will not allow us some peace and civility?  |

first of all this is an old man so for people saying he should not have shot at the supposed intruder, think again. at that age who would not use the weapon he has available? as for life insurance they were not married yet so i don't think there is any possibility of that. |
