No fewer than 20 members of the United States Special Operations Forces are quietly building a wall at the Nigeria-Niger border in a move against the Boko Haram insurgent group, according to a report by Reuters on Friday.
It was learnt that the development is part of US President Barack Obama’s new counter-terrorism strategy in the African continent.

According to the report, the soldiers, who are providing security for the country, do not go into combat or wear uniforms, but have been quietly trying to help Niger build a wall against Boko Haram’s incursions and its recruitment of the country’s youths.

The insurgent group has expanded from its base in North East Nigeria to threaten the region. Its leader, Abubakar Shekau, had pledged its loyalty to the Islamic State in March 2015.

Reuters stated in its report that about 1,000 US Special Operations Forces had been deployed across Africa.

The Commander of the U.S. Special Operations Forces in North and West Africa, Army Col. Bob Wilson, told the news agency that in Chad, Nigeria, Niger and elsewhere, the officers were executing Obama’s relatively low-risk strategy of countering Islamic extremists by finding local partners willing to fight rather than deploying combat troops by the thousands.

He said, “The new approach, which Obama announced in May 2014, is far from being a silver bullet for the US in its global battle against Islamic militancy. The indirect strategy appears to be faltering in the Middle East, where the United States has found few reliable allies on the battlefield in Syria. In Iraq, US-trained and -equipped forces evaporated last year in the face of Islamic State’s offensive.

“In Niger, there are signs of success against Boko Haram, although progress will likely be slow in a years-long effort.

“For the region, this is going to be a struggle that’s going to be with them for a long time, not just in Niger, but elsewhere.”

Meanwhile, the US soldiers in Niger have described their mission as a sharp and welcome pivot from the Iraq and Afghan wars, where virtually all of them served. They didn’t, however, state how long their presence would last.
“It’s a totally different approach to the problem set,” an American team sergeant spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Exactly. All this time it didn't occur to them to check?! Geez, did nobody try to check the status of the printer at any time? In fact, you can do this from the computer, a status would have definitely popped up after they had sent the document, informing them of the error? What exactly was the guy working on, if he only finally went to the printer as a last resort? Did nobody notice the noise the printer obviously made, while it attempted to print? I give the guy credit for keeping his cool, but the guy kinda messed up too by making a simple rookie mistake - he didn't check the printer first.

This is the equivalent of towing your car to the mechanic for repairs, and the mechanic spending hours looking for a non-existent fault, only to find that the tank was empty.

I understand why the guy made this mistake, even doctors make mistakes like this and students in the exam hall, in my experience it usually happens when a simple problem is blown out of proportion, and they'll be resolved that the solution is anything but the obvious.

They're two different phones, the 1st one is HTC Sensation while the 2nd is Lenovo A3300HV both are using Nova launcher.

Windows 10 has been programmed to stop automatic updates when you're on a metered connection, so if you connect using a usb modem it won't automatically update your system, but if you use a wifi hotspot the system will not recognize it as a metered connection and that's how your data will be drained on updates, so in other to avoid this i will show you how to set your wifi to be recognized as a metered connection.

Enabling the option stops your Windows 10 installation from downloading the updates. To enable the setting, bring up the Start Menu and perform a search for Change Wi-Fi settings. Open the resulting option and navigate to Advanced Options. Locate the Set as metered connection toggle and enable it.

Once you’ve switched the toggle, updates will no longer be pushed to your system by Microsoft, since you’ve explicitly specified that you’re on a metered connection and wish to conserve your data plan.
