I beg to disagree a line up of Lebron,lillard,kuzma,hart and javale will give golden state fits.
Lillard will flourish around Lebron just like kyrie. Hart is a good shooter and defender, kuzma is evolving into an all-star. That line up features at least 4 players who can generate their offense. And you can plug in kcp, Lance, rondo or Chandler from the bench for some defensive steel or veteran mins. The second best team in the west is okc and you can't argue that Westbrook+pg > Lebron+ lillard

Apart from Lebron and Lillard there is too much inconsistency from that line up.
As for the OKC team... Man they play elite defense PG is always willing every night to take up the toughest defensive duty and Russ has seriously improved in his decision making

Meanwhile, If the Lakers are having feelers that Durant and Kawhi is not joining. Then, the best move right now is lonzo+Ingram+picks for lillard. That is a killer move and is going to be great for both teams.

1 Portland get to rebuild, save tax dollars, get two youngsters who may be flawed but have a high ceiling and basketball IQ to build around+ picks.
2 Ingram gets to leave a team where he doesn't fit and will have less pressure on him
3 The Lakers get a starting 5 of Lillard, hart, Lebron, Kuzma and javale/zubac which is a perfect blend of shooting, passing and inside scoring. Hart can cover lillard defensive lapses and the laker will still have cap space to sign a wing defender or bench scorer. Plus that Lakers bench with rondo, lance,kcp, chandler is not is bad.
Imagine rondo+lillard backcourt in the playoffs ... Magic had better wake up

This setup has only one pure shooter if Rondo is starting, but Hart and Lillard along side Lebron is not bad, but it will not still cut it in terms of challenging GSW

Imagine if the Lakers kept d'angelo, randle and still have lonzo, kuzma,Ingram, hart and zubac plus loads of cap space. Yes they won't get lebron but they would easily be able to trade for Anthony Davis and sign whoever they want in free agency.

Nice dream, but that would not have been possible, the pick that became Kuzma was gotten from the trade that took Russell to the Nets. As for randle the reason they let him go was because of cap space. Finally AD is not going there without another star being there already.

Kuzma was off the chain last night. Don't want to hear LeNomad has no help and the Lakers are a bum team like Shannon Sharpe likes to claim. Kuzma on his day is one of the best scorers in the league and I've been hyping him since last season

Spare a thought for Magic Johnson, I wonder how he must feel knowing he drafted Lonzo Ball ahead of DeAaron Fox and watching DeAngelo Russell lead a team of electricians to playoff contention

IMO Kuzma can be the third option on a championship side, all the Lakers need now is to find their second option either via trade or free agency and then get the right complement of role players.

I live in Lagos, there was a time when everbody irrespective of class went to public primary, public secondary and public universities. About 2 decades ago that trend changed and it becames, private primary, public secondary and then public university. About ten years ago another shift happened and the trend became private primary,private secondary and then public university. The question is what happened to our once revered primary and secondary schools? Successive governments have abandoned them and now they are in want of a better phrase 'an eyesore'.
This is what is going to happen to our public universites in the near future if we all do not look remove sentiments and boa, and look at the reality on ground. ASUU though not perfect is fighting to keep up the standards of our university education and government through misinformation and propaganda is selling falsehood to the populace. These strikes have been a reoccuring theme since 1999 and Nigerians do not bother to sit down and research what is the true cause of these strikes actions. The truth in a nutshell is this, successive governments have been systematically killing the only thing that can open the eyes of the citizens and most of us are sitting at home, hailing and cheering them on while they kill our future. In 20-50 years time if what is happening does not stop out federal universities will go the way of the aforementioned primary and secondary schools and by then only the children of the elite will be able to afford university education.
PS: This write up was impromtu so please bear with me if there is any error.

The school fees currently paid by Federal university students are just a minute part of what should be paid by them. In essence as it stands the federal govt since 1960 has been subsidizing university education. This current government set up the Babalakin committee with the end goal of monetizing federal universities which means that they want universities to generate enough revenue so as to become self sufficient without the need for govt input. Now the projected breakdown that will ensure that federal universities become self sufficient is projecting a minimum of #700k as school fees for each student per session.

The so called, fund release to pay salary shortfalls and earned allowance was just one issue out of the many ASUU is fighting for. Even the 15billion is just a VERBAL AGREEMENT by government not a written one, so please go through what was said by both parties and STOP reading headlines.
PS: For those who do not know one of the main reason why ASUU is on strike is because the FED's are currently trying to implement "paying of school fees plan" which will be the first stage in them actualising their end goal which is the privatisation of Federal universities. ASUU is not against the measure of students paying higher fees but they are vehemently against the level of the hike in price which is currently pegged at #700000 per session minimum)

Depends on who they get, if its AD then he is the best player for at most 2 more seasons. But if it is some like kemba, klay, or butler, then maybe he can be the best for 4 more years.

Tom Thibodeau sacked at long last. Wolves needs a coach that can replicate what is going in milwakee and with the raptors. Get a coach that will play a system that suits your best players simple. wiggins is in IMO another derozan just stick him to his midrange game. Also they need to give the rookie Okogie more minutes the kid brings energy for that team on both sides of the court

The age difference isn't as wide as that between magic and Kareem. James still has four years of serious basketball if he serious about his GOAT challenge his body of work isn't complete.

Then the question is why did Kyrie leave the cavs, his main reason was simply so that he can go be the Alpha on a championship team. How will that work out? Not everybody is steph.
I respect Lebron but there is no way, he is still the best player on a team with AD in 4 years time. Come on he will be 38 by then.

Not enough touches to go around is what I think the problem is. Though it was working for a bit with butler as the go too buckets guy in crunch time.

Depends on how you look at it, in Boston the question will always be is it AD's team or Kyrie's?
In LA on the other hand James is at the tail end of his prime, so in 2-3 seasons it will become AD's team. The lakers have experience in dealing with that kind of scenario...heck their GM Magic lived through it. when Magic was drafted it was Kareem's team after a couple of years it became Magic's team without a fuss

Celtics have the most assets to trade but their GM wants a guarantee from AD that he will resign with them when his contract ends and as for GSW klay is entering free agency at the end of this season so he is not actually an asset for a trade, as for Green the Pelicans already have mitrovic and randle, unless they will retrade both guys for picks and start again from scratch that is not a sensible trade(IMO it will just make them the miami of the west).
For the lakers Ingram + Ball and 2 first round picks should do it especially if AD refuses to sign the super max at the end of the season

The pelicans might not have any choice, from the news circulating now Danny Ainge is adamant that D Celtics will only trade for AD if he guarantees them that he will resign this is because Some nba insiders are saying AD only wants to sign long term for the lakers so if both of these are true then the lakers package might become the best available cause i don't see any other teams with better assets.
As for Butler this is another clear case of players fitting on paper but not on the court. Although I really do think that their problem is spacing if they can get a good stretch 4 then, the only problem will remain one of coaching

GSW dominating the post season again will depend on 2 key factors Dray green's shooting has to regress back to the mean and Cousins has got to fit in without any hitches. If GSW continues to play the way they've been doing so far then a lot of teams have the ability to stop them this season.
