I think there's something Lingard does better in that team.. he is a willing runner,, always stretching the opposition's back line and acting sorta like a third man in midfield relieving Mata of tracking back/ defensive duties.. but his decision making is quite poor,, and he gast add muscle abeg..

the player we tag shyte today might come good the very next day,, and the ones we nurture,, pamper,, provide the right platform for and tip to reach greatness might pull a Bojan or a Denilson on us..
so when a fellow fan says he wants this or that,, or that we should move out this player or that,, in most cases,, they're- at the moment- considering it to be d right thing for the team but of course this could change within days..

so there's no point in rubbing it in anyone's face when no one's 100% free from wrong prognostications in football..

@Sinizia our counter attacking under SAF was siiickkk kai! with Van Der Sar in goal you've a keeper who (in someone's word) can assist an assist..
I remember a certain Tottenham game,, ended 5-2 I think,, one blazing counter goal like that..
several games too numerous to mention sef but I think we're slowly evolving and the style's changing now since all investment on natural wingers has failed to come good so far..

we've tinkered and experimented all season long,, we just de bench anyhow,, isn't it about time we started having a level of consistency with our first eleven??
those who played four days ago didn't fare bad altogether,, so aside DeGea returning and maybe Herrera starting in place of Carrick (who should be rested for midweek),, me I'm OK with everyone else keeping their place..

@Sinizia,, counter attack's definitely not one of strong weapon anymore.. we're just dead in that aspect,, these days we prefer building slowly from the back and while I won't complain since we're creating decent chances,, one must admit that some crazy,, neatly executed counter attacking goals are just orga5mic to watch..


we've tried getting wingers after CR.. from those who never came good (Obertan Tosic Bebe) to recent frauds like DiMaria and Depay.. and we've spent quite alot in recent years but dem just decide to be useless.. this is why we seem to be lacking in the wings ,, there's a dearth of useful natural wingers in this team and the coach's just gotta make do with the available players.. its not like we didn't try getting decent wing players..

that said,, presently,, who're the fast footed natural wingers you'll rather want in this team right now?? let's see if they'll be available..

I do not trust Pogba in a two-man midfield.. he'll easily saunter/stray/drift forward and leave his partner exposed..
maybe if it were against a team that'll defend 100% then it'll be better but against Westham with runners in d park,, I'll prefer a midfield three.. Lingard in place of Mkhi,, Mata drops in d hole ahead of Herrera and Pogba while Lingard moves to the flank.. we just might have to sacrifice creativity for compactness..

Anyway, Garcia didn't do a lot of that though but his movement and awareness were fantastic. He consistently denied our midfield the space and as well as opened up spaces for his team although City lacked the quality attack to exploit it seeing that most of their first team players were rested!

so a midfielder probes the opposition's midfield-- not defence with incisive passes now?? wonderful..

and Garcia didn't do the above but he only closed and opened up spaces yh?? yet he outclassed Pogba and turned him into a teenager again..

you'll downplay your own player's efforts,, downplay the whole team's effort,, downplay a win,, downplay the goals but Garcia outclassed Pogba by closing and opening up spaces.. wonderful..

the 'first team players were rested' bulls have been trashed weeks ago tho..
