My girlfriend came around last Friday and stayed till Saturday. I went through her phone with her permission, of course. I didn't see anything serious. Out of curiosity I checked her chats with her sister's fiance, I saw some uncomfortable messages he sent to her. He sent messages like WHEN LAST DID YOU KISS? HAVE YOU BEEN IN LOVE BEFORE? SEND ME YOUR PICTURES, SEND ME VOICE NOTE, CAN I BE YOUR VAL OR I KILL MYSELF.

This man is in his early 50s and my girlfriend is turning 22 next month. He is even a divorcee, he come to their house and everyone respects him.

From their chats, my girlfriend didn't encourage anything, but the only issue I have with her was when I asked her why didn't she tell me the man was hitting on her? She said she thinks IT'S NOT IMPORTANT. And I asked if she knew what the man is driving at, she said SHE DOESN'T KNOW.

I told her that since she has the power to decide what's important and not, she can handle her affairs, and her elder sister would be very proud of her when she eventually finds the chats. She has been trying to be extra nice and downplay the whole situation but I just told her life no hard. Let's just catch cruise.

This man is telling her that she should be a good girl for him and he will spoil her, when he returns to Nigeria, he will take her out more often. The fact that this girl is pretending or acting to be ignorant of this old man's intentions is what turned me off.

My girlfriend visited me yesterday and while we were talking she mentioned something that later started bothering me. She said, “I posted my boyfriend’s picture on my status and people were complimenting how cute he is.” At that moment I didn’t say anything about it.

Later that night while I was still working, she was already asleep. What she said earlier came back to my mind, so I decided to check her WhatsApp status from my phone. When I checked, I didn’t see anything. I refreshed it a few times thinking it might be a network issue, but there was still nothing there.

I picked her phone and tried to unlock it so I could see the status myself, but I couldn’t. While I was trying, she woke up and asked what I was doing with her phone. I told her I was checking something, and she immediately collected the phone from me.

The next morning she asked again why I was trying to access her phone the previous night. I told her I was trying to see the picture she said she posted because I couldn’t see it on my own phone. She then showed me the status. It was a picture of herself and an AI-generated image of a man, and she captioned it as her boyfriend.

Personally, I don’t understand why she keeps posting it and making it seem like it’s her boyfriend’s picture. The man in the picture doesn’t even resemble me in any way. I’m dark-skinned, while the image shows a fair-skinned man.

I also asked her why she blocked me from viewing her status. She said it was because I once scolded her about the memes she posts. But honestly, I didn’t scold her. I only asked why she likes posting those kinds of memes. Sometimes she posts things that make it look like she hasn’t eaten for days , and I simply told her I didn’t like that.

I don't know if I'm overreacting by being concerned about it

A woman has an unfair advantage over men. That's just how it is. Men need to grind and work hard and protect what they ground. That's how it is. The world will pity women and children first before men. That's unfortunately how the world is and women think it's a lie until they wear men's shoes and see how lonely the other side is. So what they think is entitlement or men's patriarchy or whatever they call it is survival of the fittest in a jungle world.

Men will continue to be seduced by beauty but great men will control their third leg from thinking for them. A man will work so hard to spend money on women.
